After playing Legendary Predator and watching Legendary Aliens, I have less interest in playing my copy of Legendary Marvel. The structured 3 acts make it a lot more thematic, I think.
I completely agree. I played the Marvel version after playing the Aliens one, and it felt lacking in content and challenge by comparison. I don't think I'd ever play that version again when I can just play Predator or Aliens.
I've owned and played Marvel and it's too easy for 2 players. There is absolutely no end game tension as the city is always empty. As opposed to Alien where the complex is always full at the end. The only thing that Marvel does better is the combos - there are a lot of ways to combo cards and you could pull of some very cool ones. In Alien the cards don't combo that well, since the draws are sparse, as well as card destruction.
How much table space does this take? How often do you go through your entire deck? I'm debating between this and Shadowrun Crossfire. I know SR is much harder and you cycle through the deck less, but il just take out some of the harder shit and the difficulty won't be a big problem for me. Legendary Encounters seems ideal...but I decide if the asymetric powers are interesting enough for me. Replay value seems high because there's a lot of cards. Setup looks like a pain. Player elimination is worrisome. Boss cards interest me. Are there many? Love boss fights. Thoughts?
This one actually does not take up much space, but Shadowrun takes up even less! It really isn't that hard after your first 4+ plays, just be ready to lose. You won't be able to pick out the hard stuff, everything is hard ha! Encounters is also good, there are bosses for each level 3 set of cards. I would say that it is easier and the deckbuilding is easier. Shadowrun your abilities come from your cards vs. Encounters it comes from your character. Are you playing solo, or co-op? Shadowrun is the best at 4 for sure. Hope that helps!!
I kind of want both now lol. Good to hear it doesn't take up much space. I just really need to try Encounters b4 buying. I'm already down to buy SR without playing haha
LALALA I CAN'T HEAR YOU. There's no way Colin would suggest to get both which is exactly what I want to hear, but can't afford! :DDDDDD :DDDDDDDDDD :DDDDD I crai
I don't have the expansion but in the beginning don't you get "Battlefield Medic" automatically added to your deck for your first hand? And if it does does it make your initial hand 7 cards or still 6? When you buy cards do you add them to the bottom of your discard pile or the top?
I know I'm late to the party but what kind of card sleeves did you use for those cards? edit: after reading ALL the comments I see you used Ultra Pro sleeves.
Good point! I have watched Firefly, never watched Aliens. Still though even with that after playing both I think I would go with Aliens just because there is an expansion!
It doesn't really matter and it is an older video, but the objective 3 'ruller of the roost' is the wrong last objective. The final enemy should have been a mega enhanced enemy. Otherwise you would have seen different flying enemies in the other two objectives. Still liked the playtrough though!
It really looks exactly like the Marvel version of Legendary. The Firefly one seems significantly different, but the Marvel and Alien ones just look like re-themed versions of each other. If I like the Marvel theme better, are there any mechanical differences that would make this one any better than the other one?
This is way better than marvel purely from the fact that it is full coop and the coordinate cards. Also this version had an expansion while legendary firefly does not. Just my opinion!
You screwed up with the face hugger rule. It doesn't go into the barracks. It goes in front of you and you have to defeat it on your turn or the next player has to defeat it on theirs else, the chest burster is added to your deck. (At around 11 minutes)
Great video! Enjoyed it. One question about the "flying" keyword. I've read that flying enemies are no part of the complex. When a flying enemy is above a facedown card I see you reveal this card. I cannot find this anywhere in the manual. Did I miss something? Thanks.
Help ! Why do the cards come all mixed up. The description on page 25 has not really helped me. Do not understand why there are 48 black cards that do not contribute anything to the game...a waste. I really need guidance. Thank you in advance. Kind regards.
ha! Sure thing, those 48 cards are not used. You can keep them as seperators, but otherwise they have no use. I agree it is annoying the cards do not come sorted... such a pain! Good luck!
When there are two class abilities, you do not have to choose one. If you have both classes, you can activate both.
Thanks for that!
Awesome video ! Nice teaching and editing. It really decided me to buy it. (fun fact : I'm also accountant and I can't count either ;-) )
Hahaha yesssss!!!! Enjoy my man!
Snagged this off eBay, what sleeves are you using? Brand and size if you wouldn't mind! Thanks!
Ultra Pro 66 x 91 mm Enjoy!!
I'm going to buy it after watching your video.
Great choice!! Thanks for watching!

Completely agree on that. I like how this ramps up and it is pure co-op which I prefer. Thanks for watching!
How about mixing the cards together to create a variant? Does anyone do this?

Fun thing to do is use Marvel cards for the heroes and Alien scenarios. If you’re an X-Men fan, it’s like fighting the Brood.
yep u r becoming one of my fav board game gameplay provider hehehe tks for another great video
No problem, thank you for watching!!
23:43 "Strikes can't be healed".
First thing you do? Heal a strike :-D
Haha oops! Happens all the time in one ear out the other! My children do it all the time!
Nice and clear play through! Picking this up today.

Your character specific cards just get shuffled into your deck at the beginning. Any card you buy goes to the top of your discard pile!
Another excellent play through!
btw, im getting the base game, do you recommend getting the expansions? Are they a "must-get" (in the likelihood i enjoy the base game)
Thanks for watching! I would suggest waiting and enjoy the base game first. The expansions aren't needed until you need more adventures!
I know I'm late to the party but what kind of card sleeves did you use for those cards?

You've got it!! Thanks for watching!
Great play through as always. What sleeves do you use?
Ultra pro!
Have you watched Firefly? I just wondered if you felt that one or the other becomes better because you're more familiar with the source material
Good point! I have watched Firefly, never watched Aliens. Still though even with that after playing both I think I would go with Aliens just because there is an expansion!

Question: the second interrogation was supposed to be 5 attack because of the events?
Likely I can't remember too long ago sorry!!
@@OneStopCoopShop watching further I’m not sure what the events did. Really considering getting this.

Actually if you watch from 10:17 you will see why I added facehuggers to the barracks. It is due to the location card.
Great video! Enjoyed it.

Hi Bram! Thanks for watching! I am not sure about this as I no longer have the game, I would suggest checking out BGG! sorry I am not more help!
It's specifically for that alien card, it's not innate to flying
What type of card sleeves are those? Thanks!
Ultra pro sleeves! Matt version!
@@OneStopCoopShop Thanks a lot! I appreciate it :) I just got this game as well and I'm really enjoying it.
Do you make your own barracks with this expansion?
Yup! I randomly pulled them out!
One Stop Co-op Shop awesome, thanks

sorting the cards is part of the fun
Gah! This looks so good!
What kind of sleeves do you use?
You can't coordinate yourself, right?
Not unless true solo aka 1 character
@@OneStopCoopShop you coordinated yourself at 18:34, but a true solo game is with only 1 character. Or did i miss something?:)
Im playing 2 characters and I didn't see me coordinate myself. I used it for 7 recruit
@@OneStopCoopShop my bad, i meant that you used the sergant's 4 recruit point to buy new characters. Is that allowed?
Oh yeah. If I don't use the coordinates for my teammate I can always use it myself.
Whats the point of a playthru if you dont explain setup and how to play?
To show how the game plays and if it interests you.
The art is so bad on these cards, this must have been a budget release.
