Rather than having to loosen the hose clamp all the way, why not just make a rough cut of the pipe with a power tool, leaving it longer than necessary and sliding the hose clamp on? Or, even easier, just rough cut the pipe with a power tool within the reach of a coupler, slide it on straight and use the edge as a guide for your saw. Aside from cutting on the side you want to keep, it’s the same premise, but a lot easier (since you definitely have a coupler on hand, and may not have a hose clamp on hand).
The coping saw is a great idea!
Way less expensive than a huge pair of pipe shears too
Thank youuu

Obviously not a licensed plumber-too slow-labor cost would horrendous.
Licensed plumber costs arm and a leg
LOL I've seen some of the slam bang work by licensed plumbers and electricians. Not impressed.
RUclips is for DIYers not licensed plumbers to learn things....pretty obvious....
