Have to say that these final 15 semi-finalists are probably the prettiest total combined group of semi finalists I've ever seen in a Miss World or Miss Universe contest ever. Almost any one of them could have won.
Really? Totally fair opinion, but it's amazing how subjective stuff like this. I think this group is bland/plain. Also, everyone back in those days looks so much older, lol. I would've thought these women were in their 30s instead of teens/20s. Still, it's pretty interesting watching these videos!

Finally, I could watch the complete parade of nation unlike other videos which cut off all the delegates from Honduras to Malta. By the way, both Miss Ireland and Miss Spain had success in the 1978 Miss Universe pageant. Miss Ireland became a semi-finalist and Miss Spain was the 2nd runner-up.

La uruguaya era bellísima, participó sin suerte en varios certámenes. En el Miss Young Internacional,en Japón, obtuvo el premio Yukata. Algo así como amistad o simpatía... Según era un poquito gruesa, pero no gorda. Lástima.

En Miss Universo es lo mismo con Estados Unidos, preguntas a modo, no deben hablar otro idioma para destacar, muchas veces no estaban mejor de otras para clasificar, pero el que organiza manda.
