    Thanks for your advice.I just did this to my 2017 Grom and it added accerlation and made it muh better on take off.
    I have a full stainless exhaust,Air box mods with a K&N Filter,Pcx150 injecter,Irudium Plug.Works great for my mods,thanks and ride safe.

    Make sure you do the restart / re-learn with a cold engine. COLD

    My goodness. I have been only doing the ECU reset and today I decided to also do the TPS too after a fresh KOSO filter and putting the stock exhaust back on. I don't think I have had this much power come from the SF Grom other than the one time I went to Vegas to visit family. (My elevation is about 4700 ft.) And I've been thinking about the DHM reflash too.

    Just did DHM's Stage 3 kit with an iStunt exhaust from Amazon and these resets are still relevant.

      Do you do the ECU and TPS resets after the DHM ecu was installed? Wouldn’t this clear out the DHM tune? I just got mine tuned from DHM but not trying to clear it out. Or am I missing something??

      @@andrewlouderback Instructions from DHM says to do the reset and it won't affect the ECU's new tune. Run it at all RPM's.

      AeroR me neither until I purchased my cam and ecu reflash from dhm. It says to reset your ecu and tps and I was like hmmm? Let me try it! 🤘🏻grom squad life🤘🏻

      AeroR I felt a huge difference just after doing the exhaust and intake. After the cam it was not that big of a difference however it did feel smoother

      @@FrankiesWorld when receiving the new ECU from DHM, do I plug it in and then reset the ecu and tps? Or do I reset both BEFORE I plug in the ECU.

      @@SimplyKelp you’ll want to connect the re flashed ECU first. Then do your reset.

    Do you still need to do this if you get a ecu flash? If so, do you do it before or after you get your ecu flashed? By the way I will be installing an intake, exhaust, and cam.

      Yep! When you get the flash back from the company there should be instructions along with the flash telling you to reset the ecu after installing the flashed ecu.

    If i start the bike and shut it off within a few minutes will i have to do the resets again?

      Nope. Once it’s reset it will stay that way and relearn itself until you reset it again.

      Thank you, I am not sure if this procedure would work with your SH. This has only been tested with the first two generations of Honda groms.

      Maybe your ECU is bad, or not properly inserted if it was removed recently.

    Does this work on other honda models? I have a CB300R and the bike is really rough and jerky in 1st gear on and off idle.

    I know this video is 2 years old but I have a 2022 Grom and I’m gonna put a exhaust on it does the reset still apply for just a exhaust?

      You dont need to do this for just an exhaust. However keep in mind that this method has been tested with OG and SF groms and dont know if it works with the newer groms.

    So I did the reset due to changing some injectors, and some other fuel things. I got the blinking lights on both resets. After completing, when I start the bike, my Check Engine light remains on solid. Any suggestions on why this might be, or how I can remove that code?

      These check engine lights can come on for anything, could be also because of a change in parts. I would try redoing the reset. If the check engine light is still on, it may just turn off after riding for a bit. I would also see if you can get the code checked to why your light is remaining on.

      For just an exhaust its not necessary. The ecu will just relearn itself in time. Once you pair your exhaust with an air intake then you'll want to.

      Those stupid clip connectors can be a pain in the ass. Try using a small flathead screwdriver. Sometimes that works for me

    This video along with the reassuring comments make me feel like I’m winning now😅 just installed a yoshi on my 19 but it’s 11 pm and I live in apartments.. one neighbor already doesn’t like it 😂 I hope I didn’t mess up by doing a test sounding before the flash 😢

    Hey not sure if you can help me out with an electrical issue but I recently unplugged my right turn signal to switch them with flush signals and now my Speedo, brake light, horn, and turn signals will not work

      Wow! That’s a lot that happened from just replacing a turn signal. Is the turn signal made for groms? Also find out if you need a special relay for the turn signals. Does it all work when you connect the stock turn signal again?

      I think the lights I got are for a Vader not a grom, i reconnected the stock signals and still nothing. I looked at a wiring diagram and all the components that stopped working have the same ground point so I think that may be the issue

      After 2020 it’s different. I would contact the previous owner if you can to find out what mods were done. If it is just the exhaust a reset is not really necessary since it doesn’t require ecu remapping.

    What fuel programmer do you recommend, i have 2014 with the m4 exhaust, k&n filter, kitaco side cover?

      Thanks for the comment. To be honest it all depends on your budget. If you’re on a limited budget, I’d go with the dhm tune. They will load a custom map on your ecu and you’ll be good to go. The only down side is if you do different mods or remove the mods you have to send them your ecu back to get it remapped. That costs a little over $100. If you have the money, I’ve heard a lot of good things with the a-racer tune. It’s much more but it’s also more customizable like the fp3 and has an auto tune function.

      Thanks so.much for the super fast reply i found a company on ebay in florida that offers to flash it but i dont know if its dhm? Im on west coast in norcal ill google dhm right now to see if its closer than the ebay florida option

      @@tjmooney4181 not a problem. Dhm is located on the east coast I believe. You’ll know which web site it is. If you email them, David at DH motoring is good at communicating. Email him your bike model and your mods and let him know what you need. He’ll let you know which tune is best. Be prepared because for the lowest cost you ship them your ecu snd when they get it they load the custom map and mail it back to you and the entire process can take over a week.     Can you do this with the power commander fitted with the map already loaded ? Or do I need to remove the power commander do the reset ?

      That happened to me once, try repeating the process. If you are doing this because you got an ecu flash from dhm, I would contact them if the problem continues.

    What happens if the light doesn’t blink slowly after you reset the ecu Flashes fast then turns off then flashes fast again

      Try repeating the process. Sometimes you need to try using a different paper clip.

      From what I have heard,..the power commander should be able to take of all those settings the bike's ECU needs based on your upgrades. However doing a reset before hand should be fine without having to do a TPS reset.

      keep trying or use a different paper clip. Sometimes it doesnt make the contact that its supposed to. I have had to try several times before it finally registered.

      @@FrankiesWorld What happens is that the clip that I use does make contact, only that it begins to send me only fault codes and I already know all the settings but it does not remain. The worst problem is that here in Mexico they don't sell any spare parts for this motorcycle, even if I detect the clip, do I have to keep trying?

      Oh I see..the probably may be elsewhere then if you keep getting error codes. Does your bike ride not as it should even after just the ecu reset?

      Hou Boy I let it idle for 5 min and rode it around but took it easy for the first 20 min of riding to let the bike relearn itself. Same way as when you would break the bike in. Then after that I just rode like normal.

      Sometimes the paperclip doesnt make contact, try repositioning and try again. If that doesnt work try another paper clip.

      It forces the bike to relearn any new components you have installed on the bike since the stock ecu is configured for stock components.

      @FrankiesWorld I did ecu reset didn't change any thing. Basicly my other engine piston rings went so I got a whole engine of ebay compression is fine clutch drags a tiny bit as the bike creeps some times when I hold the clutch in but the revs don't go up nor does the speed if I fully open throttle and if I apply the rear brake a little bit the revs can't keep up to the drag on the brakes. It's like full throttle bog the bike out at any thing below 6k revs

    DO NOT USE THIS TPS RESET METHOD FOR 2022 HONDA GROM.
    IT WILL NOT READ EOT SENSOR AFTERWARDS CAUSING ROUGH COLD START AND ABOVE AVERAGE AFR CAUSING BACKFIRE/POPPING UNDER DECELERATION.

      This method should work on an OG grom but I have not tested it on one. Its the newer groms that I have heard have a different reset and flash method.
