Yup, people think the high flying fast missiles are more dangerous but it is opposite. I'm pretty sure they are wrong about mach 10 in the terminal phase. When they hit thicker atmosphere, they are bound by the same physics as any other missile. The LRASM is more difficult to stop, because there will be a barrage of them and you only know about them at 16 miles out.
@@thrasher2344 Also something can travel at Mach 10 in our atmosphere without burning out? With that being said if there is a material to prevent that sort of burn out noone is goung to notice the bright shooting star coming at them? The tech/GPS will still work at those temperatures? On top of that it can manuever as it's traveling at Mach 10? I mean how does the "manueverability" not kill the momentum. You can detect hypersonic BALLISTIC MISSILE yes you are right. But the df17 is a hypersonic cruise missile meaning it travels within the atmostphere and hypersonic speed and changes directions. So it is IMPOSSIBLE to intercept . Not only that hypersonic missile in atmosphere creates a hot plassma which will disable any radar detection. No defence.
@@hkfoo3333 you do realize hypersonic objects release strong infrared signals on a clean ambient noise background right? Who told you because it’s hypersonic and maneuverable so it’s impossible to intercept?
Not sure why you guys think makes missiles hard to intercept. An F-15 shot down a freaking satellite going 15,000 mph in the 90s. It’s not about speed.
Satelites with fixed path is a no brainer. Just sent an object in its path you get the job done. But Chinese hypersonics missiles do not fly in fixed path but changes paths . So it is impossible to intercept. This is esp for the deadly df17 flying in atmostphere not space.
@@mithrandir491Hypersonic missiles are only half the equation, even more important is having the spy satellites that can find a carrier battle group. Not so easy in a vast ocean full of thousands of bulk cargo ships, cruise ships and oil tankers. Without good intel, they’re just missiles that can go very fast! Look at Ukraine, Russia has fired dozens of hypersonic missiles and accomplished what? While Ukraine has fired dozens of subsonic missiles and sunk the Moskva, destroyed the Rostov-on-Don submarine, the landing ship Minsk along with leveling the Black Sea fleet naval headquarters! Missile speed means nothing if you don’t have the intel assets to know where or what to aim it at???
US weapon systems also have a lot of QC issues. People get overhyped with US and NATO equipment but the people who are actually working alongside these weapon systems know how many issues they have with it. Germany's army aren't even functional right now because most of their vehicles and tanks have QC issues and hard to repair. Yet the world still thinks German tech is soooo much superior and they're army is one of the most elite. Reality is far from what we expect the NATO army to be. That being said, if NATO equipments have alot of QC issues, then so does China.
America couldn't even sink one of their own carriers that was sitting still. They hit it with bombs , missiles and torpedoes and eventually gave up and called in the EOD to finally sink it... So i dont think the Chinese have much of a chance. They might hit it but i dont thinkk they could sink it unless they go nuclear.
That is the difference between China tech vs US tech which are mosly junks when in use really. China had tested live in SCS targetting fast moving ships and succeed twice.
@SS-yv9cq I think you are correct in a traditional aircraft carrier sense. Disable the flight deck and it is virtually useless . However with the introduction of F35 with vertical take-off and landing, you would have to destroy more of the deck. Of course this still leaves many vulnerabilities eg steering. But the point of video was the actual sinking of a super carrier.
@@Androclese16 A disabled aircraft carrier will be an extreme emergency and liability that can hinder the entire mission and I think that's China's main goal. The problem is predicting where the carrier is going to be when you launch.
