It took him 7 videos, counting the one where he only tried for a bit at the end titled “ACTUAL ACTUAL ACTUAL easiest platinum medal on wii sports”, at first he rarely even got in the 30s, WHICH PLATINUM IS 80, and he slowly but consistently improved, and got the platinum. He also took 3 videos to beat Tommy in basketball 5 years ago, but then managed to do it again 4 years ago with a Wii basketball accessory which makes it a bit more difficult, then 3 years ago did it with no restarts allowed, and 2 years ago with only dunking allowed. Each one of those challenges is even harder than the previous. I hate people like you who say he’s bad at every single Wii game that exists just because he’s worse at the particular game in the video than most others. I bet you can’t bowl 2 perfect games in a row. 240 is the number that poof sometimes restarts in a really long video, and the amount of restarts that liked your comment

The thing that is nice about moonballing is that it makes your shots much straighter than they would be otherwise, so speedrunners like to use it quite a bit for consistency sake. However, you can still get the slightest bit of curve if you aren't actively trying to keep your arm/remote perfectly still and straight. Using both arms at the same time actually helps with having consistent fast moon balls. There's a British RUclipsr (he has speedran bowling in the past) that made a whole guide on it and I encourage anyone who is trying to go for a 300 and or bowling platinums to learn his technique, it makes a world of difference.

It's honestly ridiculous 😂 Once you get straight throwing and moonballing down all of those really hard lanes become a piece of cake, but despite that, I still find the mode very fun to go through! The spin control bowling is the easiest platinum for sure. It’s the first one i ever got. I’ve known about how you can throw over the close-enough barriers for years
The games programming is far simpler than most people think. You can easily get perfect scores on everything once you understand how the remotes inputs are used and interpreted. In five minutes of practice you can be an expert in any one of the sports.
You have to physically rotate the wiimote as your swinging for the amount you want it to curve. When you press the button it registers the angle of tilet, then it give the ball spin based on how much you rotate the wiimote as you swing.
Watching thru this video with this quiet slightly nerding sounding dude who i havent seen before suddenly say “just let this lane eat mY ASS” was such tonal whiplash
