This is one of the greatest things I have ever seen. Well done!!
Yo.
YOOOOOOOO
Yeah I can agree
Damn tabor is here, amazing videos bro, remember to put the tabor code in Fortnite, which is: tabortime
Agreed
I'll never stop being amazed at how you manage to capture the exact feelings you feel when playing the games you showcase, you're a god at making relatable content!
@gooHero Such a good analogy, awesome. Its true! :P

Totally watching thinking, "Yeah that was me when I played this.".
It seems like the chat here has uniformly decided that no-build-mode is overall the better experience.
it really is
Unless you practice building on the fly... Console even made it easier back when I played but if you can't build, you die...
It is!
Just play another game then
I'm guessing because most people in here are over 16yo. Young kids have the mental plasticity to master that kind of mechanic. It will probably be a big thing in the next generation of games though when those kids start making their own games, so I wouldn't write it off
without zero-build mode, I don't think i would've played any more. I used to play fortnite every few seasons for few days and uninstall it, but after I joined in chapter 3 season 3, I totally got hooked because there was this mode where no building was allowed. I freaking love it
Building is the main thing I guess not all people hit gud.
@@imag-nonespaghet9337
There is building, and than there is pro player building.
Lets see if I can categorize them:
1. No build
2. Wall to hide behind
2.5. building a ramp to get to a higher place
3. Corner, so no one will ambush you
4. Wtf? You can edit?!?!
5. Fast building and edit
6. Insane! I get dizzy just watching this!
I am at 2.5. I think most people at that level are happier in no build.

I love zero build for this exact reason

@@p1nazza Aye. I think he was quoting someone else and sharing the sentiment so it didn't originate with him, though.
Same. I only really enjoy the “No Build” game mode. It really makes the gun game and positioning much more important. Building is just not a mechanic that I find fun
I thought they entirely removed. Never was attracted to that aspect.
no build mode is the best thing that happened to Fortnite, never liked it because you were forced to build, but now, it`s top tier.
I love no build. This and Team Rumble where I don't mind a little building because other, better players will usually cover it for me.
It was precisely the reason I quit that game within the first 2 or so hours. If there's a no build mode, I might check it out again.
Building is what made fortnight unique though, personally I'd like to see a limited building mode, with a second or two cooldown between each piece built.
When Blizzard spiraled so low as to lose Carbot, I was sad. Now the prospect of Carbot's adventures through gaming is a joy and I can't wait to see where we go next.
Absolutely. ER and GOW were amazing.
Aye. I loved the HotS series, but after the Hong Kong tipping point, I started to actively dislike Blizz. To see Carbot leaving Blizz and work on all these other cool games has been a joy.
Will he FINALLY do LoL? Even if he's just going to mock it, it's such a rich vein of internet comedy content.
What happened? I wasn't aware, that Carbot left Blizzard.
(I mean, after all the things, Blizzard has DONE ... it also doesn't surprise me. :3)

That’s pathetic
Same and tbh, I only play Fortnite to have fun and mess around with my friends because I got really burnt out from playing Apex legends a lot
one shot to the foot and these kids proceed to build the damn taj mahal
That's, actually normal for Fortnight. The game is dominated by buildmasters like these. And sometimes you even see two guys like these wrap buildings around eachother, cover hundreds of feet around, and even into the sky.
@@TheDurid1 Well, yeah, that’s pretty much every encounter once you reach a certain high level in ranked. You got height, you win. That’s Fortnite in a nutshell. Once you understand this, you fight for height. When everyone in the lobby understand this, you get what you just described.
But they're still the same pathetic losers in real life.
@@LtKregorov Building height advantage where you can peek shot with shotgun is incredibly strong, so it was what the better builder would go for in nearly every case before I just switched to no build. When I first tried the game, I thought it would be 2 big teams building huge fortresses together and then go on epic sieges for hours, which would have been cool. Instead, this is what I found. 100% accurate.
As someone who got into Fortnite when it was only what is now "Save the World," I am convinced that is the same thought the developers has as well. If you look at some of the older trailers for Fortnite BR it really leans into this idea too. What it became instead was a different monster entirely.
I think that's save the world mode.

I have a friend who's a generaton behind me who plays. I'm about to turn 52, and I just have little desire to play games where I have to interact with other "gamers", but I do enjoy watching the story stuff that they push out. it's like the best of the old MMO "Live Events" only EVERYONE gets to see them. it's brillilant, so I get why this game is a thing and I know enough about the game to find this video extremely funny. Nice work.
I'm about to turn 39 so I'm a bit behind you. But I grew up with doom and wolfenstein and quake and unreal and hell let's throw in halo and call of duty. Fortnite was supposed to be a Minecraft experience with more guns. Battle royal was a thing with you know who so they jumped guns and there you have it
Personally, seeing all the amazing story stuff they managed to cram into the different seasons just makes me angry.
Normally, I would be loving all of this, but to me, it means this is all missed potential from their PvE (Save the World) mode. I really liked the PvE mode, actually planning out and setting up traps, towers, and then defending the objective, but the mode was half complete on launch. Not even, "area 5 not available yet, please wait for next update" incomplete, but "area 5 is incomplete, you can go in, but shit's going to be all messed up while we work on it." It just made it extremely frustrating because if you wanted to progress to the "latest" part of the available game, you had to exploit the broken parts of the game to do so. Then they released the free Battle Royale mode because the Battle Royale genre was getting hot at the moment, and their game format was really easy to adapt, and that just blew up, so all development for the PvE side basically evaporated.
So yeah, in another time, I probably would really be into Fortnite and it's seasonal storyline stuff, but they really burned the ship I was sitting on and let it sink.
One scary thing behind joining an old game is playing the people who have played it for 10+ years. Join Elden Ring, and half the playerbase doesn't know how to throw a pot. Join TF2, meet flying players who have made the physics engine their bitch.

Yup, that's about right. Some people say video games aren't constructive, Fortnight shows that people will construct in the midst of a bloody firefight.
I've seen videos where it devolves into two people aggressively building in melee range at each other until one finally figures out building doesn't do damage, brings out a weapon, and makes the other guy rage. It's fun to watch, though almost completely incomprehensible.

I think a lot of people don't know that Fortnite was originally a P2W zombie horde survivor game. The build-mode was one of the primary aspects of protecting the objective. I actually liked the original concept. Now, people only know it as a battle royale.
I remember watching your vids as a kid for starcraft 2 and even drawing them on my own. It’s nice to see you still make content. I still play the Carnot animation mod on sc2 sometimes as well!😊
Yeah... That's why I could never get into Fortnite before. A single stray bullet within 100m radius of an enemy and they just build a skyscraper around them in half a second.
Now that Zero Build is out I play with the lads every day. Build-Sweaties are legit the worst.
Yeah pretty much. One shot in their general direction and they instantly turn into a 10 story building. I played it when it first came out and everyone was still a noob. That's when the game was fun. The 50 v 50 mode was also awesome. Then I got bored and deleted it. When a friend asked me to setup a match I re-downloaded it and this was my experience. Haven't touched it since.

Two reasons why I have picked up Fortnite on chapter 3 and haven’t quit playing, zero-build and creative. It is good to know that materials are limited to 500 so you have to be more tactical when building your mansions and make them with one less floor.
The only difference I've found is that when you are waiting for the bus to leave, usually half the players are using the default brunette woman skin and not any unique skins.
I’ve been at Fortnite for months and I still play like this.
it’s very good that they introduced a mode without construction ... just very very good

My son convinced me to start playing last month and this perfectly captures how I felt when I first played! (It's also why I play Zero Build; it's all I can do to keep my guns and other items straight, let alone remember how to build in the heat of battle!)
This still makes it look way more fun than it actually is. 95% of all battle royale games is wandering around an empty map and scavenging before getting killed by a sniper you can't see.
I've always understood why a lot of trends explode, even if I personally didn't enjoy them. I got League of Legends. I got Mindcraft. I got Quake and Call of Duty. But Fortnite and the whole battle royale genre? I don't get it. First game trend that made me feel like an old man.
