@MartyBlendz what hair cut do u get on yourself is it a drop fade or what it’s nice🔥
This man just made the best tutorial to cut hair by cutting his own hair… 🐐
🙏🏻
For real
Facts 💯💯💯
Yeah,I agree with it
Pretty clean explanation and best tutorial of hair cut up to now
instructions unclear, im bald now
Lol
First comment I see and died laughing lmao
Actually
Brooooo
woomp woomp 😅
Bro I’ve never seen anyone execute a perfect self cut like this you did an awesome flawless job, wish I could do the same it’s definitely not easy man but great job 🔥🔥🔥
Agreed, I’ve tried a few different method from RUclips tutorials on myself .. no matter what, each time there’s always at least one slight mistake
@@eeiko321 agreed brother you took the words right out of my mouth I say the same exact thing happens to me
@@atlantamade2905 yep. what Is like to end up knowing is, how many times or how many years of doing of doing my own hair can I end up doing it perfectly like this
@@eeiko321 yoo bro u finding more easy now cutting ur own hair?? I might start cutting my own hair too
@@Dieaboutitt__ I’ll try provide as much details as possible as you seem like someone seeking answered.
I’ve been doing this for how long now? 2.5 years, since COVID lockdown, which is what forced me to learn as all barbers were shut and was desperate (was going to them every 3 weeks for fade)
But I still cut my hair every 3 weeks (as well as my son’s)
I’ve now ended up buying all the best equipment; wahl seniors, babyliss trimmer + shavers, Japanese shear sets
To put it in perspective, you get better but it’s still not easy, this is just my experience as a non-professional and someone who was forced and wants to perfect it as a skill so I won’t have to rely on driving, parking, waiting for barber and turning away when they aren’t there or too busy.
You eventually get used to things such as; how and when to flick your wrist, learning your head shape, when to go higher and when not to… trusting and getting more used to the clipper and which guards to use.
But it’s a very slow process to learn as once/twice every 3 weeks is not frequent enough to learn as apposed to doing this by trade on a daily basis.
You won’t know until you try. But things to consider are;
You can take up to x3-4 times longer than a barber on your own head, there will be limitations to self cut; such as lighting, angle/reach/awkwardness and visibility is always my biggest challenge. You may also make mistakes each time as I’ve pointed out, not all tutorials may work for you, due to hair type, texture and head shape. And for tutorials that will work, it can be a bit and miss for your self-cut just simply by the day you’re having and luck.
I admire Martiblendz‘s persona and content, but I personally do not favour the technique and method, i recall trying it and it didn’t turn out too well…. This could be due to lack of experience at the time, but i wouldn’t try it again as I’ve found it is not at all an easy method, especially for amateurs or DIYers (there’s easier techniques that work just as well, this method also gives you too much of a compressed look, IMO, a slight more gradual fade looks nicer)
I recommend trying out different tutorials, try find ones that works, it helps by writing the ones down and putting a tally on how many times you’re happy with it…
then stick to it and make any adjustments to suit your hair type.
Not the easiest self cut, but definitely the freshest one I've ever seen 🔥
no its very simple ans easy to self cut
@@YTtopPAULO Easy? I wish there was some kind of "template" that could be put on and adjusted to my head that would act as a sure-fire guideline. Were you able to get it right the first time?
@@Musique3579 😭😭😭
@@YTtopPAULO no it’s not
@@Musique3579 There is. Get yourself a hairband that fits around your head, the type most girls use to hold back their hair when playing sports. Then, just put it around your head in a position that reflects the style of fade you desire and shave all the hair beneath it. Move it up a 1/2" to 1" at a time using ascending sized guards to set your guidelines and proceed to blend those guidelines out. Once you've done that a few times, you'll find that you don't need the hairband for a guide anymore. This is the technique I used when I began cutting my own hair at age 10...hope this helps!
Tough hair to do a self cut but you killed it Marty. Your experience shined on this video 💪🏾💯
I definitely recommend doing a wider blend when trying this for the first time! You have to be A MASTER to be able to pull off such condensed fade on yourself! 🤯
You mean like the guidelines be spread out longer as opposed to his 1/2” guidelines? Thx in advance.
Ye @@CuarentaZ40
You’re a beast man!!! I enjoy watching your cuts. How long did it actually take you to self cut? I cut my own hair and beard and it takes me a good 2-2 1/2 hours.
I'm glad I am not the only one that takes 2hrs on a self cut. OCD does not do well with time.
How do yall cut the back? I only use my right hand and have difficulty getting the left side. Y'all use both hands?
@@zenith12417 I use my right hand on the left, back and right side of my head. The only time/section I use my left hand is behind my left ear. I also use a hand held mirror (dollar store) which helps a lot with seeing different angles.
@@zenith12417 both hands
Learn/force yourself to do it with both hands, youlls get quicker with time and your dominant hand won't be overreaching to the opposite side , this is how it will look *slightly* uneven to other people
Hello dear friend, thank you for making the video. I follow. I am a hairdresser from Iran. I use your method of work. Thank you again
Man I just tried all this and it came out decent could be better but I’m just now starting out as a barber and I’m please with it for now but hope to be as good as you man love your videos by far the best easy to follow and understand 💪💪💪✅
Blud if u r goin to do this be fukin careful ,
I tried to fade my hair at home one month ago
And I just fuked up my hair
So I had to shave my head
Now I'm in that awkward hair phase 😭
Restock on the guards!!!!! Plssss I neeedddddd
Soooon!! Promise y’all the wait will be worth it 👀
Self cut is hard no lie especially the back I always mess up
I've been cutting my own hair for years and only recently experimented with a bald fade. I love the look but I'm having a heck of a time removing the guideline. I'll have to try these techniques next cut. great video!
do i need to change anything about this tutorial if i have a buzzcut grade 4 on top?
Respect 🔥
Definitely deserve my subscription, you did an incredible job showing us step by step. Trying it over the weekend when I get my clippers
Muy duro saludos desde REPUBLICA DOMINICANA.
I started cutting my hair, now I know how to do tapers and mid fades. (13 years old)
Great tutorial, but how do you decide where your baseline should be at the back of your head? Also, how do you decide how many layers you need to fade. I've seen you used 3 I think but I've seen others with more layers.
I think it depends on if they’re going with the clipper over the comb technique a lot of people will stop at a certain guard and go with that technique
I just fucked my shit up bad lmao. Started with a low fade and kept getting higher and higher lmao
You’re a magician sir!
Great work Marty!! Really clean! Greets from Argentina!
clean
Nice cut👌🏼 personally I like the longer blends but like always , you still have the cleanest fades on RUclips ✂️💈
Just cut my hair today following the tutorial, the only problem was that my hair was too short on the sides so it looks weird but imma grow my hair out and do it again in a month.
I cut my own hair now and it’s difficult af 😂 I’m still not perfect like this but I’m slowly getting there 😎 great job 👍🏼
same bro i just started cutting my own hair first time i tried doing a high taper i messed up going to high now i have 1 side of my head half shaved 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Amazing. But making that first line? I will be holding my breath. LOL
When’s the guard restock coming?? Also will they fit andis clippers?
Unfortunately they don't fit Andis clippers but will fit any Wahl, most Babyliss, And Gamma clippers.
Very clean ! Perfect !👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
This dude lays the most compact fades I’ve ever seen. 🔥
Good stuff man been cutting my hair for a while now. Keep it up
Bro killed it and i fu*ked my hair😂
Thes videos are pretty difficult to pull off as a content creator good job bro 🎬
dont trim hair yourself i got bald..
hold on did he only close the lever at the end so he just used open levers on all guards that he used? But how come there isn't any guide lines from not closing it?
Restock on guards bro & fire vid 🤝
😯😯😯OMG
What's up Marty! Hook it up with some guards carnal!
Me gustó bastante bastante tú corte amigo
bro where’s the shear tutorial?
Your fade looks uneven 😂
my hair is not so thick and the lines are not so visible and defined... and half way through i lose track of the lines and i end up improvising and messing everything up
This is what I've been waiting for.
You are artist I am also barber
I’ve been waiting for this haircut video again! I love your self cut videos! Please keep them coming!

From Philippines
Bro I did it!!
🔥🔥🔥
Easy brother, I've been trimming my hair for 7 years!! Nice vid!!
Looks clean but oh boy I’m scared to mess it up 😭😭
I just don’t get something about lever open/ close like how to use em that’s why I’m more concerned on messing it up 😭🙌🏽
I done fucked myself up
I don’t know why you always promote your guards if they are always sold out smh
the first thing you need is GOOD eye to hand (vice-versa) coordination...im screwed cuz im pretty much a dud with my left hand lmao
Buen corte, buen video, buena edición
Como se llama el beat, o canción del video?
Bros out here looking like John Xina
I'm just kidding for any snowflakes
That was a good hair cut he is Right you Save Money cut ✂️ or other hair
Now what if we don't have 1.5 and 0.5 guard
Fr
What’s the difference in using 1.5 open and a 2 closed
Can u show plus how u zero gap ur clippers and trimmer plz
I've been trying to cut my hair myself but all those guys on YT have perfect, thick, dark hair but I dont. Idk how to cut it to the top so it's not looking like a mushroom :D can somebody help ?

I’ve been cutting my own hair since high school and it’s been great for my pockets😩
Hi✌🏻✌🏻🇰🇭💇
Niceeee work man keep It up
Man im still struggling fading my sides and I'm using 3 way mirror
Still this is helpful.
What clipper are you using bro?
Song name?
Hey Marty, or anyone with experience with this method. When u make the 1 inch guideline with the 1.5 guard fully open then later come in with the 0.5 guard halfway open (1/2 inch guideline) then again 0.5 guard fully open (another 1/2 inch guideline), is the 1.5 guard used for debulking purposes or is the 1.5 open part of the blend? I’m confused because u know 1/2 in+1/2 in = 1 in. And if it does matter, I like the more stretched fades, other than that great tutorial and I love ur vids and work!!
the 1.5 is part of the blend bossman 🤙🏽
especially if you want a more stretched out blend
@@abelscuts Thank u so much, if u don’t mind answering again, do u know if the 1 open to finish removing the top line is underneath the 1.5 open as well, or would it be right above, I’m guessing it’s underneath but I just need some reassurance. Thank u
@@hectorleyva3824 the guard system in order w guidelines would be no guard closed, no guard open, half guard, then the one guard closed and open, using the half guard in between the open no guard and the 1
@@abelscuts that did not answer the question
Muito bom! 👏🏻👏🏻🔥🔥
That's awesome, in Iran we use Mozer its color red and white
U are a fking G my friend.🥶💯
Yuck🤢🤮
Bro I just fucked my self up big time LMFAO

Super maravilloso gran profecional muchas gracias por compartir
The best way to cut your own hair is to use the “90 Degrees” method 😂 ifykyk
LOL
I have always struggled with the Bulk at the top where the fade ends. Do I just use a bigger gaurd and come at it sideways?
More videos like this self cut
🤢🤮🤮🤮🤮
How i wish u could cut my hair. Watching from philippines.
Goood🔥
شكلي ح نقعد نحلق في روحي بلا حلق بلا كلام فاضي نقعد نستنى فيه سنة عشان يحلقني
As im watching these videos I keep noticing that many ppl such as myself are suffering from dermatitis or wtv it is called has anyone had success getting rid of it ?
Great tutorial, but imo it would look better if he didn’t condense the guidelines so much, just looks like it goes straight from zero to long hair.
Could you help me how to self cutting hair with using trimmer xiaomi mijia pls?
Fake bro his trimmer is not trimming he already done it and just doing some act
U skipped the only parts that would prove u cut ur own hair. The literal back back
Why would u use “blends” after Vic that’s just sad
I fade on my hair and using a 3 way mirror the fade is good
Cutting the top I just can’t for years the top is so difficult
this guy cuts his own hair better than any barber I've ever been to
🔥🔥🔥
Respect and Blessings
I'm questioning did he really cut his own hair beacuse he is only showing the best bits.
Pinchi Marty. That self cut was clean af
