- Throwback to 2021 and a 9 day trip in the Emigrant wilderness running Upper Cherry and tribs. Approx. 400-200 cfs on the gage.
The previous year at very low flow we ran most drops in the standard upper cherry section aside from Dead Bear and Cherry Falls, but with these flows almost all of the bigger drops were portaged until red rock gorge was passed. Спорт

Hella gnarnivore.
And I thought I already trusted my packrafts with a lot of stone contact. 😆 It's amazing how you can boof over the stones with the Valkyries. BR Tom

Quick question: Wondering if you've paddled both the prototype and new Valkyrie? I paddled someones' prototype and wondering if you felt/know of an improvement in stability from the prototype to the current Valkyrie? Felt the proto was a very narrow squeeze, made you sit quite high and so was very "tippy", like well more than any hard-shell I've paddled.
If you're referring to the light blue hull boats shown in the video which were sold in 2021, the current production boat has a wider cockpit, sits your heels lower than your seat, and does sit your center of gravity a touch lower (though I paddle the current version with the blue seat uninflated).
@@jeffreycreamer @jeffreycreamer yes....! Pretty sure it was the 2021, only had the one paddle in it and so just ran it standard, but yes that's such a good simple way of solving it re seat deflate. That paired with the updates you're mentioning would feel great I'm sure. Thanks for the info!
