      yeah Like I said in the vid I don't usually take all this stuff with me when I ride only what I need for the type of ride I plan on taking.. It is a little bit heavy when fully loaded but serves a good purpose.. Thanks for the comment..

    Useful vid, thanks for making it. I bought the left-side rear-view mirror you used and installed it with no problem, the larger "wedge" fit into the end of the handlebar (after carefully prying of the cover) with no problems. (It had to be "horsed-in" a bit but this is a good thing -- makes for a secure anchor for the mirror... and if one is planning to use on the street, one is crazy not to have a mirror.) BTW, the rear light you mentioned is great... bought one, liked it so much I'm getting another to put on the front... can't be too safe with so many bad drivers not paying attention.

    Good job not letting these rude ass trolls bother you. I would be pissed and tell them to eat dirt. Awesome ride. Great paint. Music is so nice on a long road. I'm out on a 2018 rover. These bikes have been pretty awesome. I had a rad city first but prefer the ROVER. Awesome off road. Happy riding.

      Nickel thanks so much for your positive comment of feedback. I try my very best to communicate to ideas for the RadRover community & I also appreciate those who also produces videos for the RadRover community you can get some really good ideas & some bad ones as well... It is a matter of what type of riding one needs for their environment either all off road or just street or a combo of both worlds such as my situation..

    You may want to think about a better bike lock. Those cable locks are handy but they can be cut through with cable cutting pliers (not bolt cutters) in 1-2 seconds. A quick example here. ruclips.net/video/pywN558dJaU/видео.html

      I have since this video upgraded to a much better locking system with an Alarm that attaches to the disc brake used for Motorcycles & a good U lock since I do not leave my bike unattended for less than a few minutes I'm retired & generally have a second party person with me to watch my bike.. If I go to the mall or shopping I take the car & my bikes are very secure at home with a big bad ass pitbull who has full access to the house garage & outside.. But let's be honest if they want your bike bad enough they'll get it I carry insurance as well to protect my investments since I have several expensive Bicycles.. I'm a collector & my wife says to me all the time why so many bicycles when you only have one ass she doesn't get it some people collect cars & or other things that interest them.. I chose Bicycles instead of Cars a bit more to my budget Cars or Hot Rods are my first passion & Bicycles my second.. Thanks for your concern I have watched several of videos how easy it is to seal a bicycle now they are using portable battery operated steel high rpm grinder cutters so nothing is really safe from thieves but a good alarm system may deter them to move on to something else..And by the way I keep pictures & Serial numbers on all my bicycle as well as receipts of purchases always good to have just incase your word against another as well as insurance claims.. sorry for a long reply..

    I have that same Gear Up top bag, it's useless for holding the phone because my Samsung Galaxy S8+ overheats, but then again I'm in Texas and it gets hot in the summer! It's great for carrying an extra power pack to top of the phone though.

    I decided to get a Lithium Ion battery powered portable ( 1 pound ) air compressor specifically the Fineed Hand-Held Pump Portable Air Compressor at Amazon in addition to a foot powered
    air compressor because it quickly inflates fat tires which would be cumbersome and time consuming with a manual pump.
    Also the electric pump has a digital PSI meter with automatic shut off.
    There are also 2 and half pound lithium ion battery powered handheld electric air compressors too if you want even more extra battery capacity but I felt that they are a little too heavy to carry on a bike

    • @MitchellEgle
      @MitchellEgle  6 лет назад

      Yeah I'm thinking of just carrying Co2 cartridges a bit lighter & easy to carry on the bike but will require to carry several I figure at least six 3 for each tire & easy to use.. Thanks for your comment I appreciate all who comment always gets me thinking & helps me in the end to make things just a bit better..

    • @m9078jk3
      @m9078jk3 6 лет назад

      @@MitchellEgle Previous I have used them to inflate the Rad Rovers Fat Tires.
      I got a flat tire from a nail on my rear wheel (good thing I carried tools on me) about a mile and a half from my house.
      On inflation with a new inner tube with 2 CO2 cartridges I was able to inflate the tire to around 4 to 4.5 PSI. It was enough to get back to my house barely but if it was a long distance ride and sometimes I have traveled 46 miles on some rides I would have been in trouble because of the high rolling resistance at low inflation.

    Do you prefer the ride of a fat bike or the regular 2.2 Inch width of mountain bike tires?

    • @MitchellEgle
      @MitchellEgle  6 лет назад +1

      Actually I like the 2.25" a little better I can throw the bike around a bit easier with control since I'm a small person in stature where the fat tire is a bit harder for me to manipulate in such a way but, the fat tire is better for a smoother rides since I'm much older now I don't really do any mountain bike riding anymore & prefer to do commuter riding around town & like the cruiser fat tire bike that purpose.. Thanks for your question I hope you'll subscribe & find other bicycle projects that I'm involved with never a dull moment around here when it comes to customizing bicycles..Currently working on a Quadracycle project with an electric scooter motor that I recently installed updating to make it better which I call Quadra Phase II ..

  • @mattbrown9354
    @mattbrown9354 5 лет назад

    Yes Larry Richelli I would guess you would get so much more out of a Luna considering they are $1000 more expensive. I saw so really nice bikes for $5000 - $10000. Why not one of those...it’s just money right.

    • @MitchellEgle
      @MitchellEgle  5 лет назад

      Ya, money I don't have.. I'm retired & on a fixed income so I felt this was the best bang for the buck at the time .. I bought this Sept of 2017 I wanted at least a 12 amp hour battery 14 would be best this Radrover equip battery is only 11.6 & a bit on the weak side. However a upgrade kit will soon be available for the older Radrovers.. 52 volt 35 amp controller with a 1000 watt motor check out link provided.

    I suggest you look at Luna Cycle...or Hi Power Cycles. I bought this Rad Rover, it arrived with a broken cable connector that connects the battery to the display/controller...so the bike did not get power. I sent in a request for it to be replaced, what I got was insinuation that I broke it somehow, and they would do me a favor by sending a replacement dashboard controller with the top end of the cable. When I started to replace it I noticed the bottom part of the connector was cracked too. Rather than get insulted by requesting it be repaired or replaced I used a little tape to keep them together. Once I began riding on vacation, I rode on the sidewalks on an abandoned golf course. All cement sidewalks...nothing that should stress a bike (I'm 50, I bought it for exercise and to enjoy outside). After 60 miles..I have this loud POP every time I pedal (after research apparently many have this problem), and the rear tire just will not hold air. There are no punctures...no holes...no visible problem with the tire. I pump it up, and within 12 hours it's essentially flat. All I can say...is you get what you pay for. I got a $1500 bike that is useless. I shouldn't have these problems on a NEW bike...and any company worth it's salt would just replace it. I would suggest you look at Luna or Hi Power..they use quality components. It's a shame...the first 20 miles were such fun riding a bike again and having the assistance to help you enjoy it.
    Good luck.

      Sorry for your woes & misfortune, the first bike I received from Rad Power Bikes had a defective Battery Keyhole the bike was mishandle during shipping & shorted the battery enough to weld the keyhole shut & unable to separate the battery from the bike plus a badly damaged outer rear brake cable jacket. I took pictures & sent it to Rad Power Bike technical support within the hour they were sending out a new replacement bike plus a return shipping label for the return of defective bike got it within three days. The replacement bike arrived without any issues whatsoever & have ridden over 600 miles without any noticeable problems I often check for cracks in all the connections & the pickups of the pedal assist & haven't found any defects or potential problems.. These Radrover Power Bikes are made in China & most likely they use cheaper materials when the right materials are not available to make shipment demands plus poor quality control of their manufacturing processes. Unfortunately you happen to get one of those bikes but most of us are not having these issues & this is the first time I heard of this types of problems.. Knock on wood I haven't had any of the issues or problems of which you have described..

    Too much to dis-assemble each time I go to the market or restaurant. Can't believe everything you read...that horn is not 140 dB, nor is that light 12k lumens. I try to buy American to support our economy. You might do better with a small car which will also give you air conditioning and heater. Too much junk on a bike, might as well install a tv too. Just my take....but you enjoy.

    • @MitchellEgle
      @MitchellEgle  6 лет назад +2

      First of all good luck finding American made products & I do agree with buying American made products I'm a patriot of my country. Secondly, I was very naive to believe in some of these products on Amazon falsely advertised I have since then reduce or replace with better products thanks to people like you who has step up to criticize. Thirdly, I only use this bike to ride around town for enjoyment & not for errans of any sort otherwise I do have & use a car a Dodge Challenger RT & where do you think that was manufacture at? Don't blame me for bad trade agreements I did not vote nor has any American citizen voted for NAFTA nor the secret trade deal of the TPP or any other bad secret trade deals that betrays the American workers of this great country let alone in support of the New World Order of Globalization.. If you have any information of truly made in America products that I have reviewed on my channel please share I would be more than happy to repurchase these & replace with truly made in America products for review.. Why would I install a TV on my Radrover when I have a smartphone which is just a good if not better or was that just sarcasm on your behalf. Thank you for your kind comment of criticism it was taken to heart & has giving me a better perspective of my own actions & to make my Radrover even a bit better.. Sorry it took so long for a Reply but, I was a little taken back by your comment & took me some time to fix some of the things you commented on.. I certainly hope you'll subscribe to my channel I need people like you for the criticism & to where to purchase American made products..Your input is greatly appreciated..

      That's my bag it's a 2016 model plus I don't peddle much I have issues with my legs I'm 67 yrs of age & mostly use the throttle reducing my range, however I live in a small town with a lot of open desert dirt roads surrounding the town along with adjacent two lane highways the town itself is about 7 miles wide & about 12 miles long with paved roads sidewalks & in some cases bike lanes but, not many.. So my rides are generally for enjoyment of discovery or adventure of & generally fairly short 15 to 20 miles or so.. Hope this clears up the deception of my mileage.. Thanks for your comment most appreciated..
