Some people were born with special abilities to do certain certain things. i think that you were born to teach Spanish. you are an excellent teacher for biginners. I love the emphasis you placed in the pronunciation of words and strategies you used to explain the concepts with clarity and precision. I also love the slow techniques used, which is really beneficial to beginners like me.
Este es el mejor video de este tema que he visto:-) A mis estudiantes (todos son adultos) les dificultan los adjetivos, así que esto va a ayudar mucho.
Fantastic video! In addition to all the great information I now understand why "have a nice day" in Spanish uses the word "buen" instead of "bueno." :)
In your example for antiguo, you state that "before the noun it means old or ancient," but in your sentence you have the meanings reversed. You have "Extraño mi antigua casa" meaning "I miss my previous house."
Another great Friday video. Paula I love to listen to you speak in English in your beautiful Venezuelan accent. You have a keen mind and are able to explain Spanish grammer very clearly and understandably. This is a rare ability for native Spanish speakers and I often turn to videos made by native English speakers for lessons on complicated Spanish grammer. I also like to listen to native speakers because after all it is their mother tongue, and they are the ones who truly speak it and have down the pronunciation and rhythm of the language. I think it is great that you are not limiting yourself to a single format. I do love your all Spanish videos, and find them challenging. I think you are starting to see that what works for one topic might not be the best for another topic. This video will be more accessible to beginners. I was a beginner a year ago. I hope that some of your new beginners will progress as I have and get to the point of advancing to be able to understand your more advanced all Spanish language videos. Remember the days when I was congratulating you on your first 1,000 subscribers! The technical quality of your videos continues to improve. Sometimes you are starting to use a new technique with the text you show on the screen where you have a transparent background behind your text. This can help make the text easier to read. The first time I saw you use this technique there was a problem with my phone and I sent you a private eMail. The problem has never come back and now I am convinced that the problem was with my phone and completely unrelated to your video. Ever since I started watching your videos I have thought that you were very talented. Well that is all for now. I will be practicing my adjectives all week and probably also going back and reviewing older videos as well.
Aww Eric, you always put a smile on my face every time I read your detailed comments. Yes, I remember when you were congratulating me for having reached 1000 subscribers. I know it’s been a slowly growth but I’m learning every single day and I’m enjoying the process. Keep practicing and come back here with some examples 😊😊
Yayyy, I knew she was Venezolana! I'm so happy you confirmed this, because it's my favorite accent! My mother is from Barquisimeto and my father was from San Felipe. If I wasn't already subscribed to her, I'd subscribe right now lol. She's such an amazing profe, mi favorita 🤩
Disfruté tu presentación. Eres conciso y muy útil. Me gustaría que hiciera una presentación sobre los artículos. Nunca sé cuándo y cuándo no usarlos. Sería de gran ayuda. Muchas gracias.
Gracias Max. Sí, tengo pensado hacer un video sobre cuándo NO usar los artículos definidos. He visto que muchos estudiantes tienen dificultad con ese tema.
@@SpeakSpanishWithPaula Yes!!! This topic on when and when not to use them is quite confusing, I agree. We need your fantastic help, Paula! Thanks for all your hard work. You make learning easy to understand.👍🏼💖📖✍🏼
In the timing 10.25 The example of (antiguo) is different than what you have said, because you said before the noun it means ( ancient /old) but in the example you wrote (previous). Am I wrong?
Thank you so much for your videos. For now I just try to get spanish, I watched your spanish video trying to understand what you were saying and shoud say it is great when I can see your words or examples in English like represented in this video). In Spanish, mhmmm, lo siento, pero no puedo decir algo sobre mis vacaciones porque no se palabras in pasado tiempo, supongo que nesecito estudiar mas))))
Muchas gracias. If you let me give you an unsolicited advice it would be: don’t let a grammar point stop you from speaking. Saying for instance: “el año pasado yo IR a Australia” it’s better than saying nothing, at least this way you’re producing the language 😉😉
En mis últimas vacaciones, fui a Colombia. Me enfermé y pasé la mayoría de la semana en el hotel, pero durante los primeros tres días, vi algunos lugares de interés. Cartagena es muy hermosa ... y muy húmeda jaja 😆
Hi! Thank you for wonderful explanation. In your example of using bueno before a noun, and the rule is to drop the "o"...so in saying, "su hermana es una buena estudiante", it actually obeys the gender of what was being described, in this case "hermana", rather than the noun "estudiante"? I'm confused in this part.
To continue on my comment aboe, the last example in using bueno before noun, it obeys the gender of the noun before it, "profesoras". So I'm confused between the 2nd and 4th example. Please clarify? 🙏
I am only in spanish 100 and i was practicing Duolingo so I wouldn’t forget my Spanish over summer. Why is this sentence like this: ¿Es divertida la fiesta? My instinct as an English speaker is to say ¿es la fiesta divertida? Which one is correct Señora? ¡Gracias!
Bueno y malo cambian el significado si van antes o después del sustantivo. Si digo: "él es un buen profesor", me refiero a la calidad de su tipo de enseñanza. Si digo "él es un profesor bueno", quiero decir que no tiene maldad. Por eso está el dicho "no es lo mismo un buen profesor que un profesor bueno".
That’s an interesting point. Because they change meaning whether we use it before or after. The most common one is using it before the noun. El mismo carro (the same car). Por ejemplo: Tengo el mismo carro desde hace 2 años. I’ll trying to come up with a simple explanation to when to use after the noun or pronoun. Gracias ☺️
I'd suggest to think about correcting wrong pronunciation of those english sounds z as in 'example' or 'possessive' and also j as in 'adjective'. It's not a matter of an accent, those are phonetic errors. And as a teacher, I'm sure, you know the difference. Imagine native english speakers would say 'jugo naranja' with the wrong sounds: dzhugo narandzha. It's not an american accent of Spanish, it's not knowing how to read and pronounce english words.

Thank you SO much. This helps me understand what I get wrong with Duolingo. You are such a terrific teacher!!!! Brava!
En mis últimas vacaciones, poco antes de Covid-19 fui a Winchester, Inglaterra. Es un pueblo muy bonito con mucha historia. Buen vídeo. Gracias.
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 5 adjetivos usados perfectamente en estas oraciones.
Gracias 🤩
This is perfect - exactly what I needed. Thank you so much!
Gracias, Paula. Un viajo amigo espanohablante me ha dicho de tu canal y me ha consejado verlo. He aprendido algo - Gracias.
¡Que bueno! Me alegra que hayas aprendido algo nuevo hoy 😊😊

Sí me gustó! Gracias Paula. Aprendí mucho! No sabía eso sobre la posición de único! Muy útil porque cambia el significado totalmente!

Muchas gracias. Soy de Venezuela 🇻🇪😬
Adjectives like "nuevo"; same meaning before or after the noun?

Which is correct, Paula? Una universidad pequeña or Una pequeña universidad?
How about mismo? Do we say el mismo carro or el carro mismo?
That’s an interesting point. Because they change meaning whether we use it before or after.
The most common one is using it before the noun. El mismo carro (the same car). Por ejemplo: Tengo el mismo carro desde hace 2 años.

Aprendo español como 3ed lengua
mi nativa langua es arabe , hablo buen ingles y poco espanol
¿Cual es mejor? ¿If I want to say I speak Spanish better than the average gringo, would I say promedio gringo o vice versa?
The content of the video is good but the background noise and music is hard to filter out.
