Plenty of Gold Nuggets found while metal detecting in the Pilbara

  • We detected a lot of gold nuggets and rubbish while prospecting our new spot in the Pilbara. Many of these creeks show evidence of recent detecting activities but we still managed to find plenty of gold nuggets with our GPZ 7000! It pays to be persistent in those spots by swinging the metal detector super low and slow.
Other areas were less productive but that’s all part of the game.
Luck was on our side during our first few prospecting days in the Pilbara, Western Australia and there should be many more nuggets yet. Nullagine and Marble Bar can be productive areas for your metal detector.

Really enjoyable. The pilbara is beautiful....a world away from the toxic rubbish of Australian society... big car's...big houses...road rage etc.
Very nice gold and thanks for sharing 👍

Mark and Krissy on fire in the Pilbara! Well, not actually burning BUT the frictional caused by those fast picks may be dangerous. So happy to see people I like find big bits of gold. You are the stars of my motivation to give it another shot. Thankyou and Cya! 🇭🇲🤗

kudos to you. we did a lot of detecting and found it difficult to stay in an area where detector holes proliferated. the sense of 'damn. too late' made it hard to stay there. the adage 'no-one gets it all' I guess rings true (tho i still have a suspicion that 'the buggers got to the motherlode before us' :) )

The thought of " what they must have got " after you pick up their scraps keeps the dream alive. One day we'll get there first 🤯

You COULD put a small plow blade on the front of your quad. That would be a way to GRID your search areas.

Gee! You guys must have your ears adjusted perfectly to hear the slightest sound change from those detectors. I have a question (how unusual🤣). Quite often you find ALOT of gold in areas previously covered by others; do you think it's because of the better detector or is it just SKILL! I know you are very experienced so could you tell me how you do it? Thanks Krissy! Cya! P.s. I hope Mark got so new shoes and other stuff he showed us. Your gear looked o.k. Krissy. O.k. bye bye. 🇭🇲🤗

Good question there once again Robbie. To be honest I think it's a mixture of skill, the detector, the coil AND a bit of luck 🍀

Hello, The guy at the start does what I see a lot do that "when they've a tone in one hand, they drop what's in the other one",🤯 which IMHO is stupid!🤔 Since they've "NO CLUE IF THERE MIGHT BE ANOTHER SMALLER PIECE MIXED IN WHAT THEY'RE ASSUMING IS NOTHING BUT RUBBISH BECAUSE THEY DIDN'THEAR ANY OTHER TONES"!!!😱 NOBODY can know there's nothing there with out running it over the coil!!!🧐 Have fun and be safe. Keep "pinging and swinging, dig 'em all"!! Take care, "God Bless", sincerely, Randy. 👍👍🙏🏻😇👊
P.S.: One thing those who do that can NEVER say that "they've not discarded any gold from that off hand", they simply DON'T KNOW!!!🤔🤨

We swing the coil over the dirt before we walk away. If we can't hear anything it's too small to worry about.
