      REMEMBER! When they start to grow out, they WILL start twisting because they are smaller/shorter and they WILL pull your hair more.

    • @tovah7055
      @tovah7055 2 года назад +2

      @@Riververchi Yep. And when they are smaller you loose the weight of the “sandwich”. Find to use if you have ONE left and want to use it when your glasses go and they may protect that specific area.

      I am so excited to try this technique. Does anybody know as soon as she cuts it in half but then she mentions I think scoring that half is that right or no am I hallucinating? I thought she said she likes to score it before she sandwiches it so that it lies more flat lays more flat. I hope I’m making sense. Oh Lord, somebody help.

    This is absolutely genius. Got my first round of tape in extensions and was so nervous before this tutorial. You explain everything so well and I would have never thought to apply these like this. You are a beast, girl 💪💪😍

    The reason why they slip out is because you aren’t clamping them with a hot iron . If you clamp the tape in your hair it will seal it making them last longer

    So glad I saw your do it yourself video for tape in extensions! Im an ambassador for a company called sunny human hair. They've sent me 16", 18" clip ins and I just got the tape in ones. I love the idea of folding them in half. I saw other sites where they stacked full pieces. Folding definitely looks easier. I can put clip in extensions with my eyes closed. So im not to afraid. Thanks for posting this!

    This is amazing! I'm about to try for myself for the first time - do you think this would work without cutting the extensions in half first? Like if you just took the tape, cut it halfway down in the middle, and then folded / sandwiched them from there? I just feel like for the first time putting that many tiny pieces might be tough. Thank you for your help you are amazing!

    I'm SHOOK. I'm so glad I came across this. I just ordered my extensions yesterday and I keep thinking about how kind of "bulky" the tape-ins are if you didn't cut and fold them, but I wanted to try it nonetheless. I bought 2 packs of dark brown and 1 of a medium brown to add dimension. Now I'm thinking of cutting them in half and rather than folding them, just sandwich the smaller pieces with dark brown on top/medium brown underneath throughout my head. You deserve a standing ovation girl.

    Honestly this is genius! I love tape in extensions but like you I have thin hair and I always had difficulty with applying them correctly, I could never apply them straight across some were always lower than others and matching them up on top of one another was a challenge in and of itself. I never got the ratio of hair "sandwiched" to extension correctly so the top piece would always end up separating and peeling apart from the bottom piece and of course anytime I wanted to pull my hair up or back, the seams were clearly visible. Your technique of applying the extensions are going to make things so much easier for me now and I won't need to worry about my hair being thin because the seams will barely be visible since their a quarter of the original size. I really appreciate this video because it gives me new hope that I can still wear my tape in extensions!

      Takes me maybe 30-40 mins to put them in. They last around 4 weeks sometimes more depending on the tape quality and how oily your hair it. I touch up whenever I feel I need to. Usually I redo then around 5 weeks. I often take breaks in between applications.

    I am new to tape in. I just did my first set and there is definitely room for improvement. They are too far from my scalp. I am super excited to try this technique. Thank you!

    Im a hairdresser and i love the idea of the middle snip. Also i found using a 91%rubbing alcohol about 1.50 at walmart takes them out so easy too... Great job it looks beautiful!

      Geeez I AGREEEEE after having them for a year and using baby oil I discovered 91% rubbing alcohol and ITS A MIRACLE!! Very little tape residue and not damage to hair.

    Has anyone else started wearing extensions also just because you have also had problems having short and thin hair for a long time and not been able to get long and thick hair again which you don't have patience or not even have time to wait for some special reasons as me?
    How long can tape extensions be on hair before it had to be removed, can it be used again several times on hair, how long can tape extensions be on hair before it had to be removed, how long do I have to be without tape extensions before I can wear it again, how long can it last before it gets worn out, how many tape exensions do I need for short and thin hair when I want long and thick hair, how can I keep it on my hair without it falling off, does it feels natural like our own hair when we wear it, will tape attachment be invisible on short and thin hair, can it make hair worn, how to blow-dry my hair and tape extensions without it being worn if tape extensions have to be blow-dryed every time I wash both my hair and tape extensions and do tape extensions need any other products than just extra tape, remover and another shampoo and conditioner?
