After all of these years I never understood why this didnt become a major hit. This song is just perfect.
Did it get any radio play? In the US? I never even heard it until I saw the closing credits of Come As You Are

He really chased it hard but never broke through. He was too concerned with image in the end and re recorded this and all his tunes from this era (this was the best version) and he constantly changed and betrayed his band. Not a good optic in the end. He should have kept it as he was in this era. He became a labels caricature and that never ends well. I met him once in Southsea fest and he was banging on about looking like Russel Brand. I told him that was bollox, you look like a young Jeremy Irons. He didnt like that.

i was standing next to this guy at a mumford & sons concert in 2010 and thought to myself, "damn, that's a lot of hair." next thing i know he's on stage and i'm saying, "damn, that's a lot of talent." 2 years later and i still haven't heard music as unique as this.
