It is unfortunate that such standards have greatly eluded the Nigeria of today. From his letters to his wife, you can tell that Victor Banjo was truly a Gallant Officer and a Gentleman.
Lt Col Victor Banjo was one of the greatest gift of God to this nation but caught up in the webs of treachery that started with the army coup of Jan 15 1966. He was a hero and will forever remain one in the heart of people with sense of genuine history of Nigeria. May the Lord bless his soul and upkeep the family he was brutally and wickedly detatched from, albeit physically but not spiritually.
