Honestly, as a Dutchie this is really odd to see! Like some have commented, it was almost like being at some of the more touristy destinations here in the Netherlands. I almost forgot it wasn't until I saw the hills in the background, no way we have those haha!
I loved that there were also bicycles, they really belong in the Dutch theme. The hotel villas could have been in one of the new neighborhoods here in my city.
As one of the few Dutchies residing in Tokyo, this is a dream destination while the pandemic has made it more difficult for me to go visit friends and family back in the Netherlands. Hopefully I can go visit it sometime this year.

It's so strange to see this as a Dutch person, but it looks like a fun place to visit! The sight at 14:00 is from Utrecht (my hometown), they re-created the Dom Tower which is pretty nice to see. Utrecht is also the hometown of Dick Bruna, the 'father' of Miffy-chan! Utrecht is pretty popular among Japanese tourists because of the many Miffy references, it's about 25 minutes away from Amsterdam which makes it a great daytrip if you are visiting here. The fries you mentioned having in Amsterdam probably were 'Vlaamse friet'. They are more thick then the ones you showed us, they come with a variety of sauces often so that sounds accurate. Our stroopwafels normally do not come with chocolate, although I've seen this 'trend' a lot around Amsterdam. Normally it's just the 2 layers with syrup in between, nothing else! The architecture is so completely different from what you see in Japan, so it's a lovely change of scenery. Also a little fun fact; there used to be a lot of Frysian horses around the park which were taken care off by Dutch crew/grooms. They have changed that now and it's mostly Japanese owned now, but I found that really interesting to know. I'm not sure if the horses are still there (especially with COVID right now), but I surely hope so. They would make a great addition to the overall scenery and vibes of the park.
It's amazing to me that the buildings are actual buildings, not just sets or cheaply made constructions. These buildings actually look made to last! That's more than can be said of actual people's homes in Japan!
13:57 - 14:10 I remember that on the other side of the river, there was nice European style café from which one could see the hotels and the bridge. At night, when all the lights were on, that was one of my favorite spots in the entire park. The Sasebo series videos really brought back all those fond memories. Thanks.
They translate the "herring" as salted horse mackerel so it's not the same fish and a herring also gets fermented in it's own gut juices so I think this salted fish may be quite different. It's good that you enjoyed it though, a lot of dutch people do not like herring either because it's so fishy. Herring isn't available that way all year round, it has to be in season. As they don't get preserved that long. And yes the fries are different. I don't know why they couldn't make the dutch ones but it seems that way all over the world, maybe it's expensive to import the potatoes? We use certain kinds I'm sure. The stroopwafel doesn't seem the same but te ones you just buy at the supermarket get soft, that's normal. Only the superfresh ones at markets are still crispy. The syrup inside can also have more or less spices in it. Most stroopwafels are good though, here in the Netherlands at least, cheap from the supermarket or not. I do think you can make a lot of dutch food at home because it's pretty simple, vegetables mixed with potatomash, fried bits of cured pork and or a sausage with it.
Great camera work Shinichi! I actually love watching a few RUclips channels that only show Japanese commercials. They are really entertaining. I remember this Theme park being advertised but honestly, I thought it was an ad from a Dutch tour company and scenes from Amsterdam and Holland.😮
I live very close to the the city centre of 's-Hertogenbosch and while I never take the beauty of my tiny city for granted, I enjoy it every single day, this video reminds and confirms me again that I am lucky to live in this beautiful city. The Netherlands truly is a gorgeous country.
Gotta say, Huis ten Bosch lools great partially due to the fact Japanese people do not litter. Huis ten Bosch lools better than the Netherlands in every way.
Great video! I love making Huis Ten Bosch park videos also! Out of all the hotels there I find Hotel Europe to be the best one. They have an amazing lobby and night concert which really adds to the experience. Hotel Okura is great as well.

Sorry your meal wasn't what you expected. But you did get to see all those lovely tulips.🌷 My family has a tradition of eating creamed herring on New Year's eve for good luck through the new year. It's a pickled herring in sour cream with onions. It's quite good if you get a chance to try it someday Shinichi. 😊
The food in Japan is better than here! but you need to eat it by grabbingthe tail and move up your head and bite and add a pickle slice :). That is not how stroop or siroop wafels are in the Netherlands maybe they did not add cinnamon? ps the Dutch experience is simple: Pay as much as possible for as little as possible if you want to go to the Netherlands do not go to Amsterdam for sure!
Interesting , seeing dutch style porcelin cups and soucers . while we imported the originals from Japan /china 500 years ago And now they are used in the hotels. as something dutch.

Just letting you know your pronunciation is quite good! The food is of course not 1 to 1 like over here. The fries are way simpler here, just salted and some mayonnaise tossed over it. The haring looks pretty authentic, never had it with a lemon but I'll be honest I very rarely eat them myself anyway. The stroopwafels looks kinda interesting actually. I notice it has a hexagon pattern instead of a square grid pattern. They aren't necessarily supposed to be soft, I know them as crumbly. Some people microwave them or put them over hot drinks like coffee to make them softer though. I've also never seen it with any toppings on it so while it adds a fun bit of flair we keep it much more simple :)

Last time I was in London, and in Japan, I found "Dutch Pancakes" almost everywhere. It was really funny seeing poffertjes taking the world by storm: and with good reason!

Stroopwafel and coffee is so good! I place the waffle on the top of the coffee cup to warm it up and soften it a bit.

I wish we had windmill-shaped vending machines in the Netherlands. A fresh, warm stroopwafel will be soft! Definitely not crispy, maybe a bit chewy.

It really needs to be eaten with mayonnaise! I love Japanese mayonnaise, because it is so eggy, I love it! But Dutch mayonnaise really is next level!
