I opened RUclips, saw this and got so excited 😅 literally just a few hours ago I was trying to find a video of someone wearing this because the reviews on sephora's website really tempted me, but I couldnt find a single youtube video on it. I have the exact same texture on that same area of my nose, but I think if I exfoliate and moisturize it'll be alright. I'm going to try this because I think powder foundations are very underrated. In fact I'm planning on making videos soon, so I might just review it then! Thanks for the review 💞
@@AmandaZ Thank you so much! I'm hoping to get some equipment and products to review soon. Also, I am SO torn right now. Shiseido came out with a self refreshing cushion foundation. I went on their site to get the powder and saw that, now I'm so unsure of which one to get. I'm already pumped for Laura Mercier's cushion coming next month.
Not sure if you've tried it before, but I highly recommend the PUR Cosmetics 4-in-1 Pressed Mineral Makeup powder foundation. They recently added new shades so there are 26 shades available now and it's so smooth and never cakes up for me. I'll usually wear a tinted moisturizer/BB cream and then use the powder foundation with a flat top kabuki brush to very lightly to set my under eye and the rest of my makeup (I hate when my makeup transfers) and then build it up in certain areas that I need more coverage. The PUR one always looks smooth and natural for me.
@@AmandaZ Yup they are!! And I'm so glad they expanded their shade range because I used to try to wear their lightest shade and it was too dark for me, but now they have way more options.
I think that applying with a brush might help with the application on your nose. Something like the Koyudo Fu-Pa14. I don’t have that one but I have an iT Cosmetics brush that’s a very similar shape and it’s the best for powder foundations. I like it because I can use it to just kind of push and pat the powder into my skin, which is much better than swiping product on with a sponge or brush. Swiping it on just kicks all of the skin flakes up whereas pressing and patting sort of pushes any flakes into your skin if that makes sense.
I totally know what you mean. I typically prefer sponges- and really made sure to gently pat the powder around my nose but I think the area is just a little too dry for this powder.
The powder I use (when I even use power haha) is the Well People Bio Base Baked Foundation. It has a very natural finish, it’s not matte by any means. Even as someone who doesn’t really like powder I still think it’s amazing!
Thanks for the video! I have this foundation and the instructions say: "For wet use, dampen the black side of the sponge with water and wring out excess before picking up powder." The white side is for dry application. Their sponge is not like the MUFE sponge. Could a heavy application with the black side lead to enhanced under-eye lines and nose texture? I love it and have no problem with it clinging to texture, but I use a brush to apply and use a light setting spray after.
Lovely review, Amanda! Off-topic: I'm wondering what are your hair care; would you do a video about it, please? I love the colour, and the texture of your hair. It's very inspiring.
Hi Amanda your skin looks gorgeous as usual!!! Can you please do a review on new Wet and Wild Photofocus Dewey foundation? Heard it's kind of awesome. Thanks😘
Hey Amanda! Random question lol, Do you think future dew would work well under Mac Face and Body or face & body is too dewy already for that primer? I know you own both & wonder if you’ve ever used that combo ❤️❤️
Of course!! I actually use the combo all the time- but it will be pretty dewy. I think it depends on what you like! I love using future dew sometimes just on the high points of my face- that's what I'd probably do with that combo!
Thanks for the video!! I was wondering how it is on dry skiing in comparison with the original. On the other hand, I wonder how it compares to make up forevers powder foundation.
Yes, however it’s best to apply in upwards diagonal motions or gently pressing the product in when first dealing with coverage to make sure you’re not pulling at one’s skin. After desired coverage is met go back gently to softly swipe in a diagonal going slightly downward to bring the peach fuzz in place.

Thank you for the recommendation!! I'll have to try it- are they at Ulta??

haven't tried anything from well people!! you have me curious

I read the instructions. The black side is supposed to be wet, and the white side is for dry application
Girl this foundation just blur everything and I’m sold 😍
Youre so right the blur is insane

Thank you!! I actually have a haircare routine up that hasn't changed much ;) I think you might like it!!
Very detailed and informative reviews👍
I subscribed.

I’d be curious how it would apply if it was buffed on with a brush. Thanks for the video!
It definitely gives more coverage, but I'd use a light hand around any of my problem areas
Thanks for the review! Would you try it wet as well? I really enjoy my mufe foundation can you campare them both side by side?
I probably wouldn't use it wet- I think both are very similar with the MUFE maybe giving a slightly more matte look with a little more coverage
Amanda Z thanks!! ❤️

Does yours have a burnt chemically smell? I thought it was just the sponge but it's the powder too.

I’m not sure how this would work with my dry skin, although I do appreciate a good powder foundation. Really great review:)
Thanks, love🍃🌸
Oh, I finally placed an order with Kiko and picked up a couple eyeshadow sticks and pots:)
Great review. You should also review the new Make Up For Ever Reboot foundation :)
I'd love to try!!
Was it transfer resistant? That’s what it says on the website
definitely!
Uhuuu! New video!
You look like Emma Stone, guuurl
hehe
Never downward motions. Always upward motions.
upwards motions exaggerates my peach fuzz and texture!

Tip- you dont need concealer all the way up in your lash line.
