I really appreciate the honest hot toys review, most youtubers who review hot toys are in love with everything they make no matter what when it's just not a load of crap.
good review, my only gripe is those who collect hot toys don't often pose them in crazy poses so we don't mind the suit issues. All mine end up in standard museum poses. Hope to see more figures like this reviewed.

This is the reason I bought the Mezco version. It also has cloth, but it is nowhere near a brick. In fact, the cloth is so flexible that you can even do the splits fine on it and it won't even stretch that bad.
I for one would like to see you review more Hot Toys figures. I'm not a collector of these myself, so it would be interesting to get to see these up close, especially from your more honest and critical point of view.

I'm not knocking you or your review I'm just saying the figure can do more than you realize. That being said I totally agree that no heat vision head was a missed opportunity
+XXTROB Yeah I definitely think the instructions aren't always accurate in showing what the fig can and can not do. My antman says to only lift his arms horizontally at a 45 degree angle,which you can easily bypass by messing with the suit. left it like that for a week and noticed no damage.
My main complaint with Hot Toys figures are I'll always worry about tearing any cloth pieces while posing them ...other that that ofc they're pretty good figures for display purposes!!
mezco one:12 are very good figures, i got their batman and judge dredd, both are wonderful! i have their daredevil on pre order as well, surprised anthony hasnt looked into any of them!
+variablex he doesnt like clothed figures as it restricts articulation or adds any risks unless its just the cape. mezco are basically like hot toys, figures with cloth material just in a smaller scale not saying they have the same quality though
Well it may be hard to go out on a limb on a $60 - $90 figure but the Mezco line is basically the best of both Worlds. Hot Toys Aesthetics and materials, with 1/12 scale posing options.
I liked this review a whole BUNCH!!! These look great but I personally haven't collected them do to the lack of articulation as well. If they do an amazing version of a character I love I could see me picking up a couple here and there. Thanks for the review and keep up the great work.

I do have this guy as well as some others on preorder, and just got the Sideshow Deadpool yesterday. Basically, PAK drew me in to collecting more expensive figures. Then I started getting lots of S.H. Figuarts and Figmas. I've pretty much stopped with PAK and started collecting some Hot Toys as well as Phicen Limited 1/6 scale figures. For the prices PAK have been asking, I don't feel as bad about buying the Hot Toys. Of course I'm still a collector of S.H. Figuarts, Figma, and the occasional Marvel Legends and DC stuff. I was waiting for Batman with the kryptonite arrow/popsicle at the end of this video. 😂 So now I'm wandering, would you consider reviewing any of the Phicen figures? Those stainless steel skeletons can make for some cool articulation. Keep up the great work!
I currently have Rocket, Groot, and Star-Lord. Civil War Hawkeye will be on his way soon, and I plan on ordering the Civil War Spidey (whenever he goes up for preorder), the Stan Lee, and the movie Deadpool later this year.

the best character for posing in my opinion is spiderman by hot toys. I own about 8 of these guys. I like the bvs line I think I'll get or try and get all of them.

Personally, i think they should include another head of him with heat vision effect or make another damage ver with his suit and his cape being rip off, that would be awesome.
You are right about hot toys figures when it comes for posing them, but once you get a good pose you like, there's nothing better like hot toys in your collection

I think reviewing one here or there wouldn't be bad. Especially if it's a character like Superman, Batman, or something interesting like a Predator or something cool like that.
If your brother has them, you should review the Hot Toys Anakin Skywalker or Boba Fett. Both are really great figures and have a lot more poseability due to less restrictive fabric.
I'm interested in your Hot Toys reviews, specifically the Christopher Eve Superman if possible. But the real reason is because I think think you tell it like it is. I don't think you hold back anything. If there's something wrong with it then you call it out and if there's something you're impressed with you praise it. I think you're the best one out there, love your videos.

Good review Anthony. In my opinion Hot Toys are too expensive. They look pretty but are too expensive and you have to be super careful with them. I'd only get certain characters but I'd try to wait for a price that makes me comfortable.
Please do more, because hot toys are expensive. and with a hands on review, it gives us proper planning to buy or not. it's not a figure that we can just buy and go, hmmm i dun really like it, u know wadeva. i hope u can review the arkham knight batman. im getting it. but it's good to know how it will look in ur reviews.
I know you don't like the style, but fyi the Nendoroid version of this figure DOES come with heat vision effect parts. BOOM. Nendoroid = 1 Hot Toys = 0 lol

Good review, but a bit of a sweeping generalization when it comes to the articulation of Hot Toys figures. Many of their figures have decent posing options. This one is clearly inhibited by the suit and large limbs, however it has a better range than what you're showing - just check out Clipper Kings review. The likeness is good. Like you said, the nose throws things off - too big, bridge too far forward.
I did and I will be purchasing Both batman and superman I will also purchase a hot toys superman head piece take off the barbie headpiece and there you go your solution to paying 399.95 versus 39.99 + another 30 for the superman head ;)

You won't tear the suit and he's far more articulated than you displayed. You're just not familiar with posing 1/6 figures
instructions even say it'll tear and I showed the range of the articulation in the video short of forcing every poa to it's absolute maximum.

Mezco has fabric on figures nailed down. completely posable but also incredibly flexible and durable fabrics.

The later Hot Toys Ironman figures have amazing articulation. Especially Mk43.
I would take a good looking/realistic figure over one that has good articulated range any day.

The older Hottoys figures like the dx 06 are better if you want to pose them
