- Palace Skateboards recently released their New Balance 580 collaboration consisting of two colourways. Today I'm reviewing the louder of the two, "Shaded Spruce / Pansy". When I saw these announced, I was automatically reminded of all the 580s that were released in the early 2000s and I knew I had to get a pair. I love these in hand and I think they look great. I really think that they did a great job on the colorblocking and it is a lot of fun to wear. In addition to that, they also did a great job on the packaging, which I didn't expect at all. I feel like these are such a breath of fresh air compared to all the recent releases of the recent typical models.
Real heads know, these are 🔥 such an amazing throwback to the 2000’s with all The unique 580 collabs back then!
580 and 999 use to be one of my favs back 10 years ago. the quality looks 👌🏻. hopefully they make a comeback.

Not a fan of this colorway compared to the Gargoyle pair. I passed on this collab to cop the JJJJound x Asics pair. Ngl surprised to not see you reviewed it on your channel but hopefully soon. I love my pair so much

Love the retro look of the 580 and these colors compliment it well, although the other CW is more my style. Not a fan of the large PALACE branding on the heel but overall I agree its a nice change of pace from the barage of 990v3s this year even though I love v3s lol.
People really sleeping on these. Just picked these up for half of the retail price. Also the 530 encap Juniper for dirt cheap deadstock. Two beautifull shoes
Enjoy the 580. That Barber pack a number of years ago was nice as well.
The roll bar and tech in this shoe is because the 580 is a hiking them model.
Both sitting on US new balance site. This color way is very on-brand for palace but it’s hard to get excited for this collab when we just got the Patta 990v3 & the new fire general releases Indigo 9060/Workwear 9060 too.
Yeah, I almost got these but got the 9060 workwear that day instead.
@@chrisbowman1243 very nice pick up. I couldn’t decide between the two color ways & ended up not getting either one. Need to be more conservative with the shoes I get vs buying everything I like, going to get the ones I feel like I need to have.

@@christopheryu5616 your welcome. i’d suggest going to a local new balance store or even any foot locker and getting your foot measured… i did and realized my tts was actually a 8.5 and not a 9… so the whole time i was “going down .5” size in my new balance i was actually going tts… idk if that makes sense but i hope it did lol… also i have a wide foot so its hard for me to go down .5 in alot of models unless they have alot of space width wise. hope that info helps

Better of the two colorways
Not my cup of tea, but i like what they're trying to do here. Instead of going to other popular models, they opt to use older model that's been left out.

Great review. Not a huge fan of this silhouette and with so many other releases happening these were an easy pass. Need to recover from the first wave of Teddy releases before the second wave start rolling in.

Meh... i love the concept but too many great NB releases/collabs for me to have interest in these, especially at $160. These are for the skater/hypebeast and im more than fine with it...
the colorway so bad and make people not cop for this pair
