I ride saddleseat! I’m getting an American Saddlebred in a month if my trainer found me the perfect horse in our price range!!!!🐴🐴🐴❤️❤️❤️👍👍👍😁😁😁🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞
Joanna Elizabeth saddleseat differed from hunter by many things. First, your ride in a cutback saddle that has no knee padding, and allows you to move around in the saddle a lot. The stirrups are usually longer, the bridles are different, and the breeds of horses you ride may be different. The form is different, because you sit up with your heals down, and your hands are held much higher to accommodate for the horses long necks that are held high.
You’re hands are up a lot more in saddleseat. Your chest is out shoulders back. You use in MY OPINION the absolute BEST BREED EVER American Saddlebreds!🐴🐴🐴🐴🐴🐴🐴🐴❤️❤️👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁 Heels go all the WAY DOWN! You don’t jump. I ride saddleseat and I freakin love it!😂
your form is very good but you left of kind of a lot, when grooming wheres the soft brush and picking out your horses feet? what about the mane? and tacking up you only put a saddle and bridle but in the video of the riding you have a martingale. also a little tip to be collected your canter SHOULD be SLOWER than the trot because the trot should be showy and quick. also the equitation champions the first girl is from my barn Kasey with her horse music.
Rachel Jordan Yes I am aware, I have been riding for 12 years. And this was for a school project, it could only be 6 minutes long so I had to leave things out :( And Kasey is a great rider, I'm friends with her sister! Cater is a great barn! Maybe I'll see you at a show sometime?
Rachel Jordan cantering doesn't have to be slower than the trot, the canter could be any speed really, depending on your horse. Some equitation horses canter slower, compared to five gaited horses who almost gallop.
@@Taylorstanek716 i ride a gaited horse and the goal is to get them slow but they have to have a big stride cause of the rack so it’s not that easy and i like to stay light and let them go a little faster rather than be heavy in the bit lol
Hi, almost a year late but, I usually practice a pattern that I made up during training...if you know what I mean. Like serpentine is a well known pattern so I usually practice that, also the figure 8s might be useful because you would have to practice your diagonals. I guess my point is, get yourself familiar with different patterns so when the day of the show comes, you can just put together the patterns that you have practiced instead of stressing out on how to remember the patterns. Hope this helped~
QUEEEENN!! right when that first video of you riding played i was like WOW! you are such a good rider omg!

I'm just starting out taking lessons in Saddle Seat. How does Saddle Seat differentiate from riding your hunter? Do you have any tips for a beginner?

I have trouble with my patterns because I get winded so easily. I think because of nerves any tips for that? 😁
