I make fat bricks. Heat the lard in a microwave till quite hot, add ingredients incl sultanas and dried mealworms, push into a rectangular plastic container. Put in freezer. Take out frozen brick and push in to dense or prickly bush (wear protective gloves) if you don't want the bigger birds to gorge on the brick. If you want to hang it up, half fill container, press in a piece of wire mesh with string attached, fill the rest of the container. Press down. Freeze. Hang it up👍

As soon as a bird lands on one of those the knotted string will pull straight through.
Tie a small stick to the end so the birds weight won't pull the knotted string through. Peace and health.
