As a father of 3 little children, Elons last statement about how you relive joys through your children as they experience the world for the first time really hit home. I never really thought about it but it's so true. As a 39 year old, Disneyland is far from interesting but going with my 4 and 2 year old daughters was so incredibly fun. Their joy is your joy. Lex is going to go down as one of the best Interviewers in history. He always allows the Interviewee to open up and express themselves comfortably, yet can press the question for an answer without hostility. He's not just intelligent and likeable without effort he's emotionally intelligent, he can read people and know exactly when and how to bring up tough questions/topics to get answers from his guests. This skill in the hands of a wicked or cowardly person is dangerous, but in a good honest and brave one, a blessing to everyone, outflow of insight, wisdom and revelation, calm yet powerful.
Most interviewers are emotionally easily manipulated agenda supporting tools. A real interviewer is a great servant to truth, and wisdom to treasure.

In the Early History of Rome by Livy there’s a story about a conspicuous act of kindness from a Roman military leader during a siege of a neighboring town-this act was so overwhelming to the town that they surrendered and became loyal allies to Rome for centuries. In the wars with Hannibal, Scipio Africanus created allies in Spain (a place fraught with violence, chaos and flip flopping loyalties) through his kindness to the tribes after he took over a major Carthaginian stronghold. In order to maintain security in Spain, Rome needed their loyalty to keep the Carthaginians at bay…kindness, magnanimity-these are powerful and they help create peace among the populace and the leadership. 🤓📚⭐️🎶

Elon has ten children. He takes all of them out to dinner once a week.
He has also started a private school for his and other children. He even teaches at this school something times. He wants the children to learn to think for themselves. His older son was brainwashed when he was attending a regular school to have a sex change and hate his father. His name now is Jenna Wilson. This has hurt Elon very much. 😢

I found this episode to be one of the most profound to listen to. It's kind of crazy how such important topics can be so bluntly talked through out loud and reasoned. The idea how world peace is actually not a perfect outcome, and how the raising of a son while developing AI lets us compare how biological and digital neural networks develop in parallel. A lot of people hate on Elon, but if they simply took the time to get to know the man by listening to interviews like this, they would come away with a very different impression of him. Caesar famously fought personally against Gauls (having some near misses too if the sources are to be believed)... This did not stop them from instigating wars again and again for personal power, wealth and glory. If the leaders had to fight as well, I don't see it changing since they would still gain incredible power, wealth and glory

There is a fundamental and ugly truth to this. With freedom of choice comes disagreement and conflict that can lead to war. You can remove both at the same time, but that leads to a hellish totalitarian future that is far from what people would dream a peaceful world to be. The only way for such thing to work, would be for every individual human being to be trained to make the right, socially beneficial choice since birth. That is not possible. Even that would require for humans to not think, but act 100% according to their training.

Im new here, I'm beginning to really like this guy. I think he completes this little circle of popular podcast the guests go through.
Dont get me wrong, i mean no disrespect at all, but the first time you popped up in the background I ended up having to change it because it sounded so monotone and low.
But after you've popped up a few more times in the background while i was working away and barely listening I am starting to appreciate the more serious tone, heres why:
    - Straight to business.
    - No battling to talk over eachother because your so excited to make a point, you respectfully wait and its not like you need to hurry up and say it before you forget.
    - No cattling viewers, "HI WAKE UP I KNOW YOU ARE TRYING TO SLEEP BUT LISTEN, IM THE GUY, BUY MY STUFF!!!!!".
    - Passionate, and you clearly work hard to ensure that the conversation is swayed towards what you and your guest both enjoy.
    - Down to earth. Can tell you take your work seriously, and this didnt "just blow up suddenly". You clearly pulled through and stood out beyond the rest in a industry everyone is trying to wing. I can imagine that you just want the best life for your family, and to leave a well respected legacy. As a father and as someone clinging onto my dreams still while at my lowest point, I have a lot of respect for that.
You can kinda see why Joe Rogen did so well, he's in the middle ground with his intelligence and his passions, into cool things yeah, into weird conspiracies, we all love a crazy conspiracy.
You can also see why Theo is so good, his ability to adapt his experiences with pretty much anything that the smartest person out there can through at him while still connecting and keeping the conversation flowing and constantly sprinkling some humour in to keep it engaging.
Sometimes though, you need to wake up and think about what is actually happening out there. Get lost deep in thought about things that really matter, things you forgot, and things you would of never realised with the shouty cha-ching kind of waking up the others want you to do. Wars good aslong as we are winning right? Bombs been dropped again? Yeah good they shouldnt of started sht. Hopefully theres a few people walking away from that opinion and now understands that we're all pawns throwing our lives away for the ego of the rich and powerful. It doesnt matter where youre from, we are all just trying to live the best life and leave a mark in this world and hopefully be remembered for our hard work and our passion. Havent thought about your grandad in years? Suddenly a lot makes so much sense and now youre older you have just sparked a life long fascination about his past, all because of that one day you sat there and actually thought about it from his perspective, imagined seeing it from his perspective. He was a great man and this appreciation for him will make his legacy live on. You'll show you're kids how great he was, "But look at this cool stuff kids", yeah its cool, but they aint gonna care. You'll call your son in and show him this cool medal, and some really impressive artwork from your grandads box and attempt to tell the story about how he got the medal. Dont expect him to care, "ohhhhhh but dad!". Wow isnt he growing up so quick, it feels like just yesterday that you was the one having to play out in the rain because your dads got the box out again and you'd rather ride your bike out in a storm than sit through another story. They were good times though weren't they, your dad was your hero. We all wish that we listened back then, we now understand that them stories were held so close to his heart because that was his hero, everything in that box and everything in them stories was done for your dad, and that was his biggest flex, and he just wanted an excuse to talk about his favourite superhero and to connect with his son in the short time he had in the evening with his son before its back to the grind, he wanted you to have the best life. Can you imagine looking down from the stars and seeing your grandson trying to show off some of your stuff? How proud would you be, Its the greatest thing in the world seeing yourself in your son, all of a sudden everything makes sense, and nothing else matters. Look yeah if you are going to fight please make sure that this is what you fight for, one day your son will be the only person who truely understands how great you were and he will be the best hero for his son and your grandads truly heroic legacy will live on.

I don't exactly know what it is, but there is something so comforting listening to Elon talk. His views of the world in its current state and the reasons for it make so much sense. He is by far one of the most not only intelligent men, but he is graceful and forthcoming with his knowledge. I don't believe any person in this world could imagine the stress this man endures on a daily basis. Not to mention all the companies he's in charge of, but knowing he has on his shoulders being the pioneer of interplanetary travel. If he fails at this endeavor how long will it be before we are able to do something to this magnitude. I dont think there are many people in the world with Elon's mindset. Dealing with the constant scrutiny from every possible avenue and all he wants to do is help man kind and keep some kind of peace while doing so. nuff said!!!

Autism is a huge factor in Elon’s success as well as his failures. His inappropriate outburst are classic. My oldest is 40 this year and is high functioning like Elon. We would always rehearse with her what she would say and do in social encounters. Elon needs a lot of that. Plus his impulsivity got him in the Twitter mess. He was bullied a lot as a. Hold.

I don't think I've ever commented on a Lex video and am not an Elon stan by any means, but this was excellent. Interestingly I've hesitated to share my opinions on places like X, because it's too polarizing. We need long form chats. There are some nuanced voices on X, but they are far and few between. It's just interesting that someone who has such nuanced compassionate thoughts runs a platform that serves up a lot of polarizing outrage.

Interesting. I feel your position. I have just joined X. And because I only “follow” serious Math & physics people. I get little to no bad people in my feed. And when I do I block the person. After a very short time I no longer received content that was not serious scholastic people. I think you just need to tune your feed.

The conversation about the unknown cost of world peace made me think of an X-Files episode when Mulder found a genie lamp and wished for world peace. The genie was a trickster and vanished all humans from the planet. There was, indeed, world peace. Great episode.

@@azerty8866 you talk of AI's or humanoids like they in the future. The first human looking robot played the major role in a movie from 1920's. They have advanced but they have been here for more years, than most of us. They making a big comeback is more like it. They will take most of humans jobs. This won't be good for humans or it might be, giving them more free time. Financially not so good.
