It’s Halloween and the Charmed Ones are sucked through a portal and spit out into the early days of the United States of America. While there, and without their magic, they are forced to help the witches that prayed for their arrival and protect a woman about to give birth to a baby whose allegiance to good or evil could change the fate of history. If evil succeeds, would the Charmed Ones still exist? Even without their magic, the sisters are dedicated to the craft, open to learning new techniques (like getting in touch with the magic of nature), and focused on protecting the innocent. It’s a wonderful episode that shows how powerful and creative the sisters are, while teaching them quite a few lessons about forgotten elements of witchcraft.
Weird, I remember this scene somewhat differently: 1) It was in a narrow hallway 2) The portal filled up the entire hallway length and height wise like the portal to Dire Dire Docks 3) The portal moved towards them rather than pulling them in 4) You briefly saw a flash of their skeleton like you would when someone in a cartoon got electrocuted.
interesting (likely unnational) thing I noticed. It's near All Hallows in 1670. That's roughly 300 years to the date that Prue was born (October 28 1970) which was arguably the beginning of the Charmed Ones. Pretty neat that Melinda (the arbiter of the family line) was not only born so close to Prue's date, but delivered by Prue and her sisters.
They screwed up the episode regarding the time change because they were three hours behind in Virginia on the East Coast. Regardless, if they traveled 200 to 300 years, they should’ve put that into consideration when making this episode. It pissed me off so much

What was prue's Halloween costume supposed to be? Piper was Glinda, and Phoebe was elvira!
Free interpretation
It was the witch of nature

Jesus is king 👑
It’s fiction. We can’t do real magic like they do.
