Jimin has been doing flips, high kicks in choreo since the very beginning. One of the most versatile artist and dancers out there always uping his game! I am always amazed at how he can seamlessly combine his contemporary dance style with hip hop and popping, so unique!! No one is doing it like Jimin!🔥
In bts Jimin has to be not just the most technical dancer but the most beautiful one. Described as dancing to the tips of his finger tips, is a true statement. Watching group performances your eye will automatically find Jimin. There’s a reason for that. His facials and his fluidity is very impressive. Yes he was trained as a contemporary dancer which helps with his breathtaking lines and his martial arts helps with his jumping and flipping. He’s a perfectionist in every aspect of his life. He truly believes he’s never good enough. You reacted to vibe recently. It was said that Jimin redid his part 15 times to be sure it was good enough. He’s awesome!

❣Jimin, growing up, since quite young age, even pre mid school, was always into hip hop & r&b music. Aside from Rain, Taeyang, & BoA, Korean idols, known not just for amazing vocals, but their dance ability, Jimin was also heavily influenced, with other role models, such as Chris Brown, & Usher. So it goes to follow he’d also appreciate other equally well known artists who also were amazing dancers & performers aside from vocal ability. It also goes without saying that Jimin, was indeed heavily influenced by MJ. He even taught Jin to moon dance for Dynamite MV, also Jimin was the one that suggested other MJ moves also for BTS song “Dynamite”. Jimin already at early age of 10, started studying hip hop at the renowned Just Dance Academy, in Busan, city where Jimin’s from, which teaches all the many different styles of hip hop. There is even a post made that shows a performance where young again 11 Jimin in 2007, not only performed already, on right front side of stage, but later on went in front and did a solo. JIMIN also competed, excelling in popping, & isolation moves, winning every competition. JIMIN also since a little boy, trained 8 yrs in various forms of martial arts: Taekwondo (blackbelt), Hapkido, Kendo, & Chinese martial arts. Side Note: When learning Taekwondo, as a little boy, I believe Jimin said that doing the splits was one of the first things required to be able to do. He said that he'd put his legs split, up against the wall for quite long, hrs at a time. This was aside from still attending middle school Jimin, where he was already into all kinds of sports, including being part of soccer team,, but also basketball, even joined after school billiards, also excelling in track & field throughout his schooling. Dancing is his passion & you feel & see this with his facial expression alone, you can see he himself feels the music, not just hears it. The styles and techniques for each area of dance are vastly different. If there can be a genius for dancing, he would be it. He's a combination of other great dancers like Micheal Jackson, graceful like Fred Astair, sexy like Prince and then Jimin. The way he can interpret a song with his dancing and make you feel it too is crazy. I'm an older Army and He's the total package, the most complete dancer I've ever seen (not just K-pop either) I've watch a lot of Jimin's dance compilations.
