It depends on what you're looking for, meeting celebs and getting autographs are expensive but if your looking to just hang out with people who like similar stuff as you, see some cool cosplay, go to some cool panels and hear celebs talk, and buy some cool art or merch, it's a fun time. I would say going at least once is worth it to see if you like it.
