I use #3 all the time. once you set it up properly it can't be raided because people can't get inside. the upper area can be mesh bitten however. there is also a 2nd entrance above the crystal. the best method to get inside is to place a ladder, you won't be able to leave so use fjordhawks and beds to teleport in and out. break the ladder and place a few turrets and you will have a great base. you can place reps, Indy's and pretty much everything you need if your good at building
that first gen 2 spot you can infact get a rafe through, I built in there, you need alot of annoying spam at that little entrace clip spot, I blocked it with motor bots as well and set turret far far back, you can tho fit 2 indy forge throw out 2 to 3 giga, in that spot, so its pretty decent for a 1-5 man started then bounce once you get some rescourses.
