Sophie, I used to be vegan and am still vegetarian in diet BUT tbh I have begun to see the better value in leather pieces that can be added to the wardrobe that can last for years. I know some people will scream at me, etc. over it, but I do think that some leather goods that are carefully chosen can be better for the environment in the long-run especially if they last 10-20 years (especially classic items).
you can buy them second hand I can't keep spending my money on fake leather and replacing them and there is no way to fix them they always end up in the trash taking more space on the planet a good leather shoe will last for yeaaars, so I agree with you.
Hey ladies!! Agree with you guys, no one should judge you for your choices. I WISH that in this day and age there was a good (non-plastic / sweaty) leather alternative that was used in the mainstream, but there isn’t (not that I know about anyway!) Agreed that of the few plastic shoes I’ve bought, they’ve been sweaty and horrible to wear, and haven’t lasted any time at all! 😕xx😘💖
Drea, I like you was Vegan and I dip in and out of veggie, TBH I have come to decide that if I use Animal produce and it is ethical I am happier to do that pay more and potentially pass it on then purchase fast fashion which will still be waiting to compost in 25 yrs time and a child has been involved in production!! Don’t start me on Palm oil..!! You can only do your best! But be a conscious consumer!
I know what you're talking about! I'm veggie too and I have banned leather from my complete life for about 10 years. Only recently I have realised how much plastic waste it has made me produce during that time - every bag, shoe, belt etc goes to the bin after 2-4 years max becaude it's really damaged by then. It makes you spend a lot of money all the time, it makes you produce plastic waste, not to forget everything else, that goes into producing these items (energy, shippings, etc). A couple of weeks ago I saw another youtuber's video on the whole topic, called shelbizzlee or so and she buys second hand leather items cause she's had enough of the plastic items herself but also doesn't want to produce a 'demand' in store for producing more leather items, by buying from them. So she gets the benefits of the leather items but she can be sure, that she didn't, like, send an order to produce more of it, by buying from a store, which would be the same as sending an order to kill another animal. Quite like that idea and have bought my first pair of leather boots second hand. Time will show, if I can wear them, without feeling guilty foer wearing an animal's skin on my feet.. Also it's good to know that a leather item has been saved from probably ending up in the bin. Someone has given their life for it so it should be treated with respect ☺ Greez from germany
Sophie, Once again, Thank you for showing us how to combine less expensive dupes into our closets along with beloved LVs and Gucci's etc. I am so appreciative that you share these type of videos! Have a Wonderful New Year!!!...and please keep these type of videos coming!
U r def a guilty pleasure - on my way out ( NYC) saw pop up said less then 15 mins gotta stop and watch!!! Thank U Ms S never stop making videos. ✨✨✨Happy New Year✨✨✨ to U and David!!!
Girl you are the real shopping MVP! It's really refreshing to see that just because you can buy designer you don't and when you do, you don't flaunt it. That's why I am a loyal subie. Others like Jerusha, I couldn't tolerate for that reason.
Thank you Sophie!! I have been searching for good over-the-knee boots that are not as crazy expensive as the Stuart Weitzman ones. I love your style so much 💖
I just bought Aquatalia in a cognac suede and a black leather pair of Frye short boots. Neither pair was over $250 USD. (I did hit a sale!) Frye is popular in the US for being so well made and lasting forever. Thanks for the video Sophie, love you!
Oh yeah. The good old cowboy boot 🐴👢. Still have them in the garage 😎. Come Winter, I'm going to rock them wit my wide legged jeans. Bringing back the 90ies 😀
Just a note, right now end of year sale Nordstrom the Stuart Weitzman's are on sale 50% off. not the Lowlands, but the Highlands and the Eldridge. I like to buy good leather boots off season, or scour after Christmas sales for good deals from bigger department stores, you can get some really nice deals right now.
hi, Sophie! i would like to say that you’re such an inspiration to me! your videos are always informative and it taught me so much about saving money in designer goods! i’m still in my final year as a university student but i’m saving up to buy my first luxury jewelry when i graduate ☺️ Merry Christmas and happy new year! xx
So true, it’s so hard to find decent priced leather shoes nowadays. The satin mules are a dupe for the Sophia Webster violet the twist mules, I love the concept of mixing a dressier shoe with jeans.
Such a great video! Recently I have been in love with leather shoes and moving forward I am trying to buy shoes that are more quality than quantity 😊❤️
Hello Sophie. First ,I wish you a happy new year! Usually I don't comment very often but you got me going on my pet peeve about the state of the British high street and what is on offer in the average shops. You are so right it is now very difficult to find leather shoes at a sensible price in the average shops. It's sad to say but it's 90% plastic made in the far east. I save up and I wait till I go on holiday or home in France to buy my shoes in the sales. My home town Bordeaux has sales in January and July and lots of shoe shops with leather shoes made in Europe. The reductions will be 40% or 50%. I do look at the designers before i go. Last summer I got a pair of red patent mary-jane ballet pumps that look very similar to the Dior 'baby' patent ones. They are made in Italy and were reduced to 80 euros from 160 euros , so a lot better than the £670 current price on the Dior website. I am going home again in the new year and i'll be looking for lace up boots. So my top tip is to look when you go on holiday in Europe. Countries like Crete, Croatia, Greece, Portugal, Spain and Italy have a traditional shoe industry that is going strong. Instead of buying souvenirs buy yourself a nice pair of leather shoes! Your feet will thank you for years to come.
If someday you visit Barcelona make sure to check small shoe shops there. Here in Spain we have a bunch of leather shoes lesser known brands but if excellent quality. You will be amazed for sure! We also have other Zara's company brands ho made some leather shoes at amazing prizes! Thanks for your video, you are amazing 😊
Im getting the stuart weitzman knock offs. Im saving up for a pair of Stella McCartney boots and bag. That is what I am gifting myself after I complete my certification.
For decent prices for footwear in the UK, buy second hand and vintage. I recently found completely unworn Chanel ballet flats in a Brick Lane vintage shop for £80. In recent years, I’ve found new or lightly worn Gucci, Prada, Miu Miu, Alexander Wang, Bottega Veneta - all for under £50 in London charity shops. Sample sales are a good source of quality footwear for under £100 new: there are mailing lists you can sign up to for your favourite brands. Consignment shops are great too. And buying pre-owned is much better for the environment. (And you honestly can’t catch anything from pre-owned shoes!)
Sophie, I think a pair of earrings could be substituted for the boot clip-ons you displayed in this video, (just guessing). Loved the Isabel Marant knee boots!!
Clarks do a surprisingly on-trend collection these days. I get a lot of my shoes for work from there, and if I know about anything, I know about shoes! I also picked up some Stuart Weitzman dupes and I wear them more than my actual Stuart Weitzmans! (OK, now I sound like a bloody Clarks advert so I will shut up 😂). xxx
Sophie, if you want Stueart Wiseman style but from another designer and made by a fashion house in Italy, try Ron White or Ron White Repasardi and since all of his shoes/boots come with arch support and ball of the foot padding, breathable... He has the over the knee flat and with heel, almond toe, etc.....
Disappointed to read the bad reviews on Amazon for the SW boot dupes. I was super excited but after seeing the reviews of the cheap quality, I’m going to refrain and get the real ones. I love my 50/50s and been wanting to try the lowlands. I’ve worn my 50/50s to death and they still look great.
The best leather products out there (gloves, boots, belts etc) are usually found on equestrian sites (doversaddlery, sstack, stateline tack). The prices I find are totally affordable and the quality is top
Love those shoes! I mainly wear leather shoes, especially in the winter, so I know the pain. But try Zalando, I got some amazing leather items there before! They don't seem to be that well known in the UK for some reason...
Yesss i find it so hard to replace ankle boots!! Im still trying to replace my old pair that wore out a few yrs ago ans nothing is aa good. Plus i have to replace my docs 😭😭😭 patent leather does not last even if they look so pretty.
kurt geiger does really good leather boots/shoes that arent over the top expensive - and if they are you usually just have to be patient for a little bit and then they have huge sales!
I love those thigh high boots on you Sophie! It is nice to style them with blue or black or grey jeans/pants, they could be a bit tricky to wear otherwise! But the little pearls on the shoes look stunning too, did you make those? I hope that you are having a wonderful time with David and ready for the new year! :)
I bought a classic pair of leather Chelsea boots from Zara in the sales - €40. I really believe that buying leather will save you money in the long term. Every time I buy synthetic, I have to replace them after a few months.
Sophie if you ever visit Berlin Germany 🇩🇪 please let me know, I would definitely go with you to Kadewe to look at the pretty things I live next to it xx .
I find Next do a great selection of affordable leather footwear, catering for all sizes and widths. I bought a pair of leather Chelsea boots 3/4 years ago (I think they were about £65), I’ve had them resoled and reheeled once and they are in fantastic condition. The leather has aged beautifully. I have tall riding boot style boots too which are so comfortable and again, the leather has aged really well! Love the videos, especially the motivational style ones! 😉xx
Everytime I went to the UK in the past years, I noticed that shoes and also clothes are more often from cheap synthetic materials. Much more than in Germany and other European countries. I have no problem finding affortable leather shoes in Germany.
Always in a mood for good timeless shoes 💖💖💖 and yes, finding good leather footwear that is not 'sell your kidney online for a designer item' is hard to find today. 🙄 As for thigh-high boots i have the same problem though mine are a copy - they keep sliding down and it is soooooo annoying!! They are not leather and despite (or inspite lol) of the sliding issue i wear them to bits for the third year now!
Sophie Shohet | Fashion Beauty Lifestyle yes! Florsheim are the best. My husband is a doctor, he only wears that brand because they are so comfortable and he is on his feet all day in surgeries. His favorite pair is 7 years old and look like new!
Love the flat thigh highs! Russel and Bromley have the lowland boots - collaboration with Stuart Weitzman on sale atm so now £400. Thought I’d share as my size wasn’t available but someone else may be interested and have better luck 😔 Also loving the Louboutin boots 😍
Vince Camuto/Louise et Cie shoes and boots are leather and very affordable. BUT you must read the description to see if they are leather lined also. I have 90% of my wardrobe this brand.
Linda Tran I have these booties they are the Adox booties. I wear an 7.5-8 American, I wear 38.5 in CL, and I got the booties in 39 so I could wear a thin sock. So really 1-1.5 sizes up from my US size. Hope this helps! 🤩
Hello Linda! I’m going to add my “2 pence” in to what Cheffrey has said and hope it helps! I am nearly always an EU40 in CL and took my regular size in these 😊xx
Sophie Shohet | Fashion Beauty Lifestyle hi Sophie, so I understand you did not size up in these boots, which means the boots are true to size, am I correct? Do these walk as comfy as the Iriza100mm/ Pigalle 850mm pump or at least on a similar level? Those are the only 2 CL models I can actual walk in 😂 so Im quite skeptical to whether I can enjoy these boots as much as I wish to. Thanks for the prompt answer!
I ❤️ freebird and Frye for leather boots ... but I live in Australia do the price of shipping is huge ... also freepeople have some great leather boots ... again the price of shipping though ❤️
My favorite is Stuart Weizmann dupe! I can’t wear heels anymore. It’s super not comfortable for me. But I’m not as tall so I think those boots will be way too high lol.
for affordable leather boots I would recommend to look in equestrian stores, since most of equestrian equipment is mead of leather, and they can be under 100euros
Make a trip to Berlin Sophie; the Germans make the most beautiful leather and suede shoes/boots which are so affordable. The sales are on at the moment and I have just bought 3 cracking pairs for less than 150 Euros.
Love the video Sophie! Especially the first pair of ankle boots with the toe cap! No offense but I don't care for the pearl thingies! I think they look more like earrings instead of something for a boot. Just my opinion.👍 As always great content and style!! 🙋♀️
Do you ever use Russel And Bromley. Timeless and classic designs on the High Street. You pay for the quality though. Great video as always Sophie 😊 ☺ 😂
Still using my riding boots made in English beautiful full grain leather Hermès for over 45 years. Just an occasional resole. But I care for them for the investment they are and look as good sidesaddle as they do with jeans or a wool suit.
there is an Australian brand called 'Wittner" shoes that you may like to check out for leather shoes. I ONLY buy my shoes from them and they last for years, and they are very good quality. not the cheapest, but then again what quality leather shoes don't cost a bit; they are very good. they cost around AUD$200-$100 and highly recommend.
Good point, it really is annoying that synthetics cost the same as leather shoes.
I always love the louboutin ankle boots you post. They’re always adorable
Sophie, I used to be vegan and am still vegetarian in diet BUT tbh I have begun to see the better value in leather pieces that can be added to the wardrobe that can last for years. Drea East Coast, no one really has any business yelling at you for that. It sounds like you put a lot of thought into your choice to me.
you can buy them second hand I can't keep spending my money on fake leather and replacing them and there is no way to fix them they always end up in the trash taking more space on the planet a good leather shoe will last for yeaaars, so I agree with you.

Love all the boots 💕 Enjoyed your haul video 👍
Sophie, I think you should create more of those clips & make them available for purchase. Great great video & solid advice 👍🏽‼️
Dunnes Stores in Ireland have nice leather shoes at a reasonable price. They also have 100% cashmere gloves for €19! xx

I shop by what i like not to particular about specific brands. This is the first year i bought Clarks based on the cute boots i saw in the window.
you sent me there, and i got desert boots with £30 off :)

kurt geiger does really good leather boots/shoes that arent over the top expensive - and if they are you usually just have to be patient for a little bit and then they have huge sales!
Those issabell morrant boots are 🔥. What jeans are you wearing? You should do a video on jeans. I really trust your judgment.
You are so nice and beautiful!! I love your style❣️ I watch your videos a lot. You have style, grace, and class!! 😊
I love the shoes!!
I love those thigh high boots on you Sophie! It is nice to style them with blue or black or grey jeans/pants, they could be a bit tricky to wear otherwise! Hey Sophie, could you please do a video trying/reviewing Doc Martens? 💝
Everytime I went to the UK in the past years, I noticed that shoes and also clothes are more often from cheap synthetic materials. Much more than in Germany and other European countries. I have no problem finding affortable leather shoes in Germany.
You can buy Russell&Bromley when they are on sale. They are made in Italy and the quality are superb like those high end designers.
Can you do a tutorial on all these lovely handmade items you have? They’re beautiful xx
Mango has good leader footwear! I own few pairs and they last for years! Good prices also!
Hey Snezana! Thank you so much for watching and commenting 😊🙏🏽 xxx😘💖😘
Your videos are alway a treat!! I just love your style and advice 🙂😍
The Everlane Boss Boot is a fantastic pointy toe all leather boot, great quality
For reasonably priced leather shoes, try Florsheim. They have women's and men's.
Thank you Daniel, I’m going to take a look now!xx
Sophie Shohet | Fashion Beauty Lifestyle yes! Florsheim are the best. My husband is a doctor, he only wears that brand because they are so comfortable and he is on his feet all day in surgeries. His favorite pair is 7 years old and look like new!
Love the flat thigh highs! Russel and Bromley have the lowland boots - collaboration with Stuart Weitzman on sale atm so now £400. Thought I’d share as my size wasn’t available but someone else may be interested and have better luck 😔 Also loving the Louboutin boots 😍
Ooooh, £400!!! Thank you for sharing this info LG!xx😘💖
Sophie Shohet | Fashion Beauty Lifestyle No problem ☺️ I’m just hoping my size comes back in stock! My brain cant justify £700 but it sure can £400! X
can you do a DIY for the clips? They are lovely!
Vince Camuto/Louise et Cie shoes and boots are leather and very affordable. BUT you must read the description to see if they are leather lined also. I have 90% of my wardrobe this brand.
I need to pick these up ASAP💋💋
They’re on sale now! How annoyed am I 😂😂xx
How do the Christian Louboutin boots fit for you? True to size or You got half a size (or is this a full size) bigger?
Linda Tran I have these booties they are the Adox booties. I wear an 7.5-8 American, I wear 38.5 in CL, and I got the booties in 39 so I could wear a thin sock. So really 1-1.5 sizes up from my US size. Hope this helps! 🤩

You need to start selling those shoe clips!!!! They are amazing and so is all your other jewelry!
Moda in Pelle do affordable leather shoes and boots 😊 they have a sale on I saw a couple of pairs I like as well.
I ❤️ freebird and Frye for leather boots ... but I live in Australia do the price of shipping is huge ... also freepeople have some great leather boots ... again the price of shipping though

You are so sweet! Thank you for the love Lennie! 🙏🏽😊💖xx
Another great video x
The pearl clips could be replicated with maybe some clip on earrings. Great video x
Where are your jeans with the distressing on the end from?
Leather shoes from Boden, Marks & Spencer, Massimo Dutti, Cos, Russell & Bromley
Make a trip to Berlin Sophie; the Germans make the most beautiful leather and suede shoes/boots which are so affordable. The sales are on at the moment and I have just bought 3 cracking pairs for less than 150 Euros.
I think musette and bagatt are great places to find leather footwear for an affordable price. :)
Great quality leather shoes are from Germany. Rieker, Gabor, Ara. They are also good for you feet and not expensive. I also like Tamaris, Ecco, Geox.
In the last try on clip, where are your jeans from? Love the video!!! Xox
Hello Millie! Ahh thank you!!🙏🏽 They are Levi 501s xxx😘💖😘
what size blouse are you wearing in the video?
love!! 😀
Hi what jeans are you wearing ?
Can you let us know how the boots hold up? I would like to get them but want a review from you first haha. Will use your link to buy
Check Kazar It’s a Polish brand x
Kurt Geiger / Carvela have a wide range of leather shoes for affordable prices
Yup, cowboy boots without the heel are just a misunderstanding... In my opinion either go for the look or don't even bother...
