Your team is amazing. Thank you.
Well done again Anonymous!!! Your podcasts are always so well researched, professional, and so well articulated!!! Aussie Aussie Aussie Oi Oi Oi 😎😜🥳🇳🇿
Haha it’s oggi not having you take our Welsh saying haha
Can’t click fast enough! Love this channel! The accent is icing on the cake, the research, narration, story, whoaaa!
If only they'd had homesafe security and then the horse couldnt have been taken, just another reason everyone needs to listen to this podcast
That's beyond belief that the Gardra didn't have anyone to trace that telephone call, the only real opportunity
This story gave me chills. RIP, Shergar.
Definitely an insurance job. Telling quote that most people were more upset by the idea that the IRA could have taken Shergar than humans being disappeared. No tears shed over all the hundreds of horses that ended up in Tesco lasagnes either. People are strange....
Being Irish and born in the eightys in Drogheda. I grew up hearing all about Shegar. I enjoyed this episode well done on such good work, folks.
Poor horse, must have been absolutely terrified 😔
Remember me casefile 😀😂😂 been here since day one and asked would you do a podcast on ireland 😃
Very well researched!
The thought of going after a defenseless horse is disgusting.
I'm crying by this story 😢
my fave channel
Drag cursor to the end of video let it play out (turn auto play off first) then hit replay - ads gone
You are my HERO!!!!
Thanks so much!!
It doesn’t work for me. Every time I fall asleep to an episode I want to replay it the next day. Same amount of ads.
Please do an episode on Indian case "Aarushi Talwar", and thanks for these episodes
Can you cover more Irish cases like Raonaid Murray?
Casefile did the case if Elaine O'Hara - case 87
Really? No one wonders which race horse's well shod leg was found crudely severed in some meadow?
Shod??
@@Jolenesmart1980 maybe?
@ulalaFrugilega... I'll concur with that sentiment! @Jolenesmart1980... Ephesians in the New Testament describes having "shod" one's feet....the putting on of footwear and emollients to keep one's feet from being destroyed by the desert terrain....or, preparing for battle. In this instance, maybe the footwear found on the severed leg was consistent with a well- cultured horse of breeding.
i like these podcasts, but I wish the description have an idea what the episode is about. No spoilers or anything, but including the first sentence of the podcast doesn't help one have any idea of the content
You might want to know that RUclips's algorithm is messing with your show. I had to sit through a commercial like every minute, making this excellent episode almost impossible to listen to, let alone enjoy. There's a way to fix it but I don't personally know it.
Still happening. :( over 20 ad interruptions in first half. Sooooo frustrating. Especially when you're listening on a run and have to keep stopping to hit "skip" .
If you have autoplay off, scroll to the very end of the video and click the replay icon when it pops up. Sometimes there is an ad before the replay icon appears, but not always. You can then watch the whole video without any ads.
Drag the bar to the end wait for the half circle arrow and start watching again. NO ADS!
I have youtube premium to prevent adds

The ads are killing the enjoyment of this. Do you really need like 30 of them?
Damn, I really thought this was going to have a happy ending 🥺
The horse was basically massacred to death. You thought there was going to be a happy ending ..?
I'll tell you, 9-eleven killed IRA. Im Canadian
and both here and down South there was alot of sympathy for
N. Irish Catholics
(recall-"Devil's Own"-B. Pitt)- then, suddenly Terrorists were no longer romantic.
as an equestrian shergar is every equestrians worst nightmare. he was just 5 when he was taken. just a baby. though as unfortunate as it is. i agree the ransom should not have been paid. there was no guarantee that if it was paid Shergar would be returned alive. also another thing if people are wondering if they kept any of Shergars semen to breed more baby’s after his passing. they didn’t. at least in north america, in order to be a registered thoroughbred, they have be live covered. which means exactly what you think it means. stud and mare together. now there may be collections of him, but they will never be able to create a registered thoroughbred with it. it’ll have to be a grade horse or a cross of some kind
Ruined by ridiculous amount of ads
This is literally the saddest one I’ve ever heard 😭💔
It will all come out in time karma will come to those who did this dreadful thing or maybe karma has already been served time will tell R.I.P shergar
I didn't say anything wrong I don't understand. In the previous comment that was deleted or dissapeard I just said that maybe the main shareholder plot the whole plan because, of him knewing something was wrong with Shergar, a possible injury, or a deadly disease the horse may had. Him taking out the horse from raicing seems suspicios to me. The horse came in 4 one time and they retire him after all his wins and at his very young age. One single race lost didn't seemed so bad giving horse reputation. I think something else was at play hear, something happened like I said to the horse, they knew but didn't wanted to tarnish their good reputation of good horse breaders and plot this. I think the situation in the country at the time and those incidents happening around the country my have give them the perfect oportunity for the plot to happen and the blame would instantly get on the anarhist group, which is what happend. I wonder if the main shareholder was one of the shareholders that get an insurance for theft and the vet also.
There was never any insurance paid out on Shergar. Let me clarify, not all insurance was paid out on Shergar, so to your comment, the main shareholder the Aga Khan and the vet never got an insurance payout but we all know the IRA took him, killed him and buried him somewhere in Ballinamore
@@lindafowley27 he just said in the video that the shareholders that have a theft insurance on him get their money from the insurance companies , but not the others. So aparently insurance where taken. In conclusion, I don't understand what you are talking about. Didn't you watch the video.
@@lindafowley27 IRA had a lot to loose at the time doing this also, the narator also say this. And to ofense but I il stick to my opinion, Shergar withdrawal from the race circuit seems still suspicios to me.After just one year of racing and almost all races winned and only 1 or too lost. Something is not quite right there. A every young winning horse, pulled out from racing after loosing one race. I am no race expert, but to me sounds suspicios. The Aga Khan hold too much on his reputation in the field to let it destroy. Yes IRA sounds like the prime suspect, because of what they done at the time, but like I said above, someone could have come and take advantage of that and plot this and no one would think anybody else because evreyone then and know was looking towards IRA to blame.
From what I know about racing horses, 3 years is not considered young for a racehorse. So, that is nit so unusual to take him out then, before he injures himself or his reputation. I think most race horses have inly two or three seasons to race.
On the other hand I, too, would have wished to investigate those owners who did take out insurance for theft…
Especially since the IRA are ideology driven and would know and probably wished to leave Ireland's Darling alone. How would they not have anticipated the sorrow that would cause their fellow Irish? Also, I like to think that they wouldn't knock down pre-teen Irish children and press them to the ground.
What a lot of cheap arses. They should've paid the ransom. It was a nightmare for a horse who made them millions.
So many ads....
An equine venereal disease, icky 😱

I can't listen to this one. I hate animal cruelty. 😥🤬
Horse Lives Matter 👊🏻

I think shergar was taken by dublin criminal gang and while they had the horse they didn't realise how much top care shergar would have taken. Plus all the top vets,, feed,, etc..

i waited a week for this episode to be about a horse?!
Sound a bit entitled there - it’s a conspiracy theft story and quite interesting - I mean with the pandemic anything free to listen to is great imo
