The hairline positioning is the most important decision one has to make while designing the hair line. It is the doctor's job to provide a natural looking hair line placed at the right place, which the patient can enjoy for the next few decades of his life and still not look out of place. This video enumerates the very basic points one should keep in mind.
*The distance between the glabella and mid frontal point ( MFP) is to be at around 7-10 cm.
* The hairline should be placed above the frontalis muscle of the forehead.
* The MFP should be placed at the point/above the curvature of the forehead.
* The rule of one third, which comprises of the distances between the MFP and glabella, glabella and tip of the nose, and the tip of the nose and chin being equidistant.

When you look at male hair models they often have the frontotemporal juncture significantly in front of or anterior to the sideburn. How do you determine the best placement for the frontotemporal point or angle? Assuming donor capacity is sufficient for anything
Maintaining hairline and temple ratio with facial structure is ideal. Too deep or way to flat FTA looks bald or unnatural. So it's almost always specific to the person in concern.
I have have-or had- quite a strong natural widows peak as they call it. The distance from the glabella to the start of the widows peak is only 5cm. From the peak till it fans out goes higher of course.
I don't know whether this is unusual or you to discount the windows peak when determining the correct height.
It all depends on the patient's requirement and rhe donor availability. We can work according to those factors.

Can we do hair transplant without finastrid?
Finesteride acts by preventing the progress of baldness. Yes, we can do a transplant, but if you are not willing to take Finesteride, the baldness in the non transplanted areas will increase and will look odd.Normally we don't encourage people to go in for a procedure if they are not willing to take Finesteride.
