you skipped over the new wall gate mechanic where you can place a gate on a wall blueprint
This one is huge for me, this drove me CRAZY about walls

The Abbasid buffs are small but definitely needed. Now you no longer need to optimize the fresh foodstuffs timing and just get it right as you hit feudal and get the cheaper villagers which gives a tempo in feudal age. The fertile crescent buff makes the transition to farms viable even early on if you collect the double broadax which would be necessary anyway given the Abbasid archer opening in feudal.
Valdemar's take is always one of the most intelligent ones out there.
I only play against AI at the moment, so looking forward to the improvements, especially the Intermediate AI changes. Being a Noob I find the Easy AI too easy now but the Intermediate too hard, so I'd like something in between :)

i think the live animal hitbox thing is maybe because for byzantine if you're buildling an aqueduct it was hard to select your sheep
hard to click deer when building a TC too.
It's good to see them add regicide; it was a core mode in AOE2 and should have been included at launch.
nomad and ffa!! balance changes seem cautious but im excited for ffa queue

Valdemar, any idea how we can get the dev's to address the fact that Ayyubids on controller cannot use the fire ability on the manjoniq? There i literally no input available for it.

Ottomans finally gets nerfed!! But is it really a nerf? Are the patch updates live now?
How significant is the Mongol nerf? I’m fairly new and they’re my favorite civ.
This will mostly effect higher skill players doing careful timings on Tower rush etc. As a new player if you had not been told about it in the notes you might not have even noticed it. I think you will be fine.

Good video as usual sir but while I can feel you pre-read the patch notes, I think you could have done a bit more prep for this video.
It's a matter of your style and what you wanna do of course, but some of these notes are so small that they don't need to be read out. Either just summarize what they do or skip them. IMO.
Noo i just started playing last week and learned rus
Rus is my main civ. It didn't change much. It just takes ten seconds longer to build a hunting cabin. That's a minor nurf that you probably won't even notice.
Why nerf the Rus?

Why would you nerf feudal samurai? They're pretty useless compared to Onna's in feudal.
@@agnosticpanda6655 really? haven't played japanese in a while but I used to 1TC feudal all in and the ability of samurai to dive and pretty much ignore TC fire seemed really good to me. Their vills would all be garrisoned and I'd just pump out more samurai faster than they could kill them. Heard a couple of my friends played a team game recently where they lost like that too. Not like it's super OP, cause a lot of things still kill them, but they really dont' seem useless.
Anything is possible at lower elo. Like myself I like French who’s one of the most under played civs at higher elos. French knight rush in feudal is amazing at lower ranks.

Crossplay is gonna suck lol. This game already rough enough on console😅
Thats because the top 50 players on console (like me) dont have enough competition. So, we sit in que for 5+ minutes every time and typically get paired against new/low level players. With the increased player base, odds are that high level players will get skill based matchmade out of your lobbies and into some actual competition.
@@garywilbanks7236 I think everyone sits in Q for 5 mins. I’m new to the game and already sit in the Q for atleast 5 mins😅 and keep getting paired against gold-diamond players🤦♂️ ain’t no’s way
@iiRaWDaWG i think alot of the low level players get pushed off console by the low player base, making even less entry-level competition.
@iiRaWDaWG i get paired against people regularly that are so awful that ill be castle pushing them with a whole army while the poor saps are still early feudal/dark age with no army. Mind boggling tbh
@@garywilbanks7236 well so far I’ve found early feudal aggression builds work best for me. I really struggle if I can’t end the game in the first 15 mins💀 and as a new player it’s worked pretty wel considered I’m doing it with the french
