I’m trying to figure out why you can’t do complicated knitting around your grandchildren. LOL. I think Elizabeth Zimmerman first came up with the slip stitch at the beginning of each row. I didn’t try it for years thinking it would mess up my stitch count. Now I wish I had used it when I started my mitered square blanket. Do you think it would show if I started it in the middle of the project or would it look different? My five year old grandson saw this blanket and asked if I would give it to him. I told him yes, but it would take a long time to finish. The next day he asked if it was done yet. Your grandchildren are beautiful! I’m planning on staying calm through this next week by watching some of your past videos. Thank you for doing them. Have fun with your family and safe travels.
Thank you, Nancy :) I do like to slip that first stitch, as long as it's on a finished edge and not on an edge that I play to join to another edge. I'm not certain about starting to do it in the middle of a project. I've never done that before. The edge might look different.
How fun for you to be able to go visit your daughter and grandchildren.
It was a wonderful visit!
