I can’t believe I’m just seeing this video from three years ago. I miss going to Walmart late at night but they don’t stay open this late anymore. And those prices on food items looked pretty reasonable compared to now. Crazy how things change. I love how Dan is so cynical and smart but also he seems very kind. He is great.
I get a mad kick out of these late night shopping runs... Back while I still had a car, my sis and I often made 3AM runs to a Walmart in the next town over. We were there so frequently, a few of the night shift workers started to know us by name.

Not just the engine and stuff, but all of the computerization and wiring, too. To the point that, when I finally had money for minor service issues, they told me the cost of fixing it all would be about the same as buying a new car. So, after some long, hard consideration, I wound up junking it, for a couple hundred dollars. And sadly, haven’t been able to afford another one since.

As a person who works in the garment business, I can tell you that shirts from other countries are cheaper, like you said they can afford to pay like 5 cents an hour, but I think a good point is your example of Walmart employees they're miserable working in Walmart, what makes you think they'll be any happier making a shirt?
