i do not own this song or anything to do with it, i uploaded it because i couldnt find this this song on youtube or anything so i thought id upload it :)
Saw him live around 2006 in Brooklyn right after he blew up with paxilback. I worshipped him. I thought he was the next big thing and then he fell off. Depression? Drugs? I want to interview him for my podcast.
You are a real one for posting this. I first heard this song in 2007, swiftly burned on a cd that came in the form of a peculiar gesture/attempt to reconcile the inevitable rifts that is of HS romances. I was left with nothing but a sincerely addressed post it + a fresh bowl of fruit attached to an independently crafted album, this being one of the most significant tracks representing a crucially strange time in an even more estranged teenager’s life. Somewhere between the bass and hbo/choir like intro, I was blithely unaware it would become the sound to a major turning point, the high and low lights during a coming of age, an unpredictably brilliant/lighthearted piece that would gently impact the rest of my so called tragic youth (and adulthood for that matter). Yet I feel completely seen/will internally weep in gratitude every time it’s heard randomly whispering ‘girl you ought to trust me, trust me.’ Till then, let’s pray for the kid’s comeback. Thanks again for the share. 🌚🩶🥊
