Why did our people accept the Christian God in droves having recognized the errors our fathers made, some deliberate and others from ignorance. This is not saying that everything in our culture was wrong. Far from it. It is is spirituality that may be positive on the surface but ignorantly negative on its source. "You shall not make for yourself an idol in the form of anything in heaven above or earth... Deut. 5:7-10.
No person or people emerged into existence from the ground or fell from the sky. Where do Igbo people come from? Do not answer this question for I know its political "inconvenience." What, in disdain, you called "religion" is actually the source of your culture - read the Bible. Let us recognize that everything may be good or bad and can be subject to abuse, including religion, by those that apply them. Is yours abused? Where? Our culture is indeed rich but its spirituality is seriously flawed.

It's obvious
My people please read Psalm 81 v 9
Ajofia is not a God. A priest. He even recognises chi-okike
(You shall have no foreign god among you; you shall not worship any god other than me)
Apparently, the Seimito-Christian God is native to the Igbo people of west Africa, and our traditional gods are ‘foreign’ according to your logic
