@@kin4386 Kinda disagree honestly, there's meat to the story, and she got it, Family is the theme here, 3 has a really tight plot and themes, the tighter the series got, you CAN turn your brain off and enjoy the cool stuff, but there is something beyond the superficial, it's simple but consistent, lots of games that take itself so serious can't even manage to be consistent AND a fun videogame at the same time.

The story CAN impact you, but that's not why you play it. The Devil May Cry series is actually one of the best games/media to tell character driven stories. Though it may seem simple it actually has depth without needlessly adding convoluted things while also having a very intimate feel and not trying to be pretentious. This is one of the reasons I like DMC.
Still I kinda want them to explore the lore of the world of DMC even more. Like is there other Demon like Sparda or what does humanity think of the Demon threat from their view or civilian talk or how many city out there or is there only 2 world exist in DMC the Human and Demon World? Things like that you know for fun.

"what does humanity think of Demon threat from their view" well they just called Devil Hunting agency, apperantly in DMC 5 artbook its confirmed that Devil Hunting jobs become common in this series which also could explore it as well. There's also alternate Universe in novel but unfortunatly Dante nuked that after he killed Void Mundus.

My understanding is that his power wasn’t entirely sealed off, just weakened and he put the rest of that power into the 3 swords. Dante discovering his power in this game wouldn’t have full control over it but would have enough control to keep it from bursting forth. When the demon world emerged, its like Subaru said, and his DT probably surged in power and he couldn’t contain it and had to let it out
yeah it's not entirely a happy ending. Dante loses Vergil just on the cusp of understanding him and getting to grips with his family issues, Vergil throws his chance at a better life away just to emualte his idea ofhis father (leading to him becoming Mundus' pawn in DMC1), Lady gets her revenge but has nothing else to fight for now and yes while the majority of the demons are sealed away the window of the seal being broken still allowed many demons to step through leading to Dante's business being more needed than before. But, that's soemtimes what happens in a prequel.

I never checked if it was official or not, but I had assumed they were going to do _something_ with them along those lines. After how they went about the Vergil stuff though, I'm not so confident. Then again 4SE took like a decade so maybe there's still hope?
Though I remain convinced almost NO villain is ever put through sufficient pain and suffering to feel like the karmic wheels are balanced, Arkham's end might be, at least so far, the most satisfying villain death in video game history.
Utterly powerless, in agonizing pain, having been beaten by both the player AND gets to be finished off by the person he's got the closest and most painful relationship to, the person he thought he could push around and dominate without any repercussions, and you even get to see some real fear and panic in his eyes when he realizes how badly he's lost the plot, AND not even trying to whitewash his sins or give him some last-second sympathetic twist... yeah, I gotta hand it to them- for a game about a "mere" Wacky Wahoo Pizza Uncle, they really did a lot to tie up Arkham and Lady's storyline in a satisfying way.

I was playing dmc3 for the first time when this video got released. I had to pause the video on parts I haven't went through yet. Seeing Subaru react on the cutscenes are awesome.
You can tell wen someone "gets" devil may cry but for that to hapen you just need to like the characters and think that they are the coolest thing ever.

subaru is just like me on my childhood, first time on DMC3 i know i play so bad because i kept on dying but because the charm of the game like story, characters, the cutscenes etc got me hooked are the reason i love DMC until now DMC4 is probably the most accesible gameplay for newbie using Nero, which is why it makes me love DMC battle for the first time it took me until the release of DMC4SE that i realize how to play the game better with dante and also watching donguri for the first time blew my mind XD

Though I remain convinced almost NO villain is ever put through sufficient pain and suffering to feel like the karmic wheels are balanced, Arkham's end might be, at least so far, the most satisfying villain death in video game history.
Utterly powerless, in agonizing pain, having been beaten by both the player AND gets to be finished off by the person he's got the closest and most painful relationship to, the person he thought he could push around and dominate without any repercussions, and you even get to see some real fear and panic in his eyes when he realizes how badly he's lost the plot, AND not even trying to whitewash his sins or give him some last-second sympathetic twist... yeah, I gotta hand it to them- for a game about a "mere" Wacky Wahoo Pizza Uncle, they really did a lot to tie up Arkham and Lady's storyline in a satisfying way.

subaru is just like me on my childhood, first time on DMC3 i know i play so bad because i kept on dying
but because the charm of the game like story, characters, the cutscenes etc got me hooked are the reason i love DMC until now
DMC4 is probably the most accesible gameplay for newbie using Nero, which is why it makes me love DMC battle for the first time
it took me until the release of DMC4SE that i realize how to play the game better with dante and also watching donguri for the first time blew my mind XD
