Man i’m at the boat docks like 3-4 times a week and never catch the crappie only once have I caught more than 1 and I have only ever caught like 8 in the houston area. I really don’t know what i’m doing wrong, casting at same angle you are good quality equipment 1/32 oz jig heads, bobby garland,Live minnows, sometimes I use a bobber but most times I don’t count to 3 then slowly reel in and nothing all the time. I know this a long message but maybe some other people can use the advice too.

I’m very intentional about my approach to crappie fishing, which means that I usually fish with jigs and minnows. If they are not hitting jigs then usually they are hitting minnows…the natural bait. In the summertime, I’m fishing from the bottom with jigs most of the time and that can be 30 ft deep at times. Once you find the depth, you’ll usually catch them, even if they are biting slow. Hope that helps!
