Instead of using that golf cart, you can use your tractor. Get a 3pt trailer hitch thing, they sell them on eBay for like $50. That way you'll have the horsepower to get up the hill, but you can also use your loader bucket for additional wood cargo space along with your trailer.
Did I miss something? Do you still have your tractor? The one you had fuel line problems with it. That wouldn't maybe be as fast as the golf cart but it would save a lot of wear and tear on that golf cart bc they really are not designed to pull that much weight.
I use a chop saw for 4" or so smaller diameter stuff! Have my chop saw on a jig with a 16" mark on the end of the table! I have a roller cart for longer than 5ft pieces! Its way faster than a chainsaw and "safer". Cutting small diameter stuff with chainsaw sucks lol plus the cut pieces can go right into a cart or truck bed etc... I do like that setup with the rigged stumps lol pretty slick!
I burn very little wood anymore but still have two large diameter circle saws, 30 inch blades, run by gas engine that we always used on branches six inches or smaller. Many times faster than a chain saw, probably safer and saves on the wear on that chainsaw blade.
Lol, just use the Kubota, maybe look to build a small trailer or wagon for that to haul wood up to the house. Or even the bucket to haul it up, as then you could dump it in a pile, go back and cut and then stack it all from the pile.
You'll get Tinius when you grow up and come to your senses. Too bad to say, but you are not though, you are thoughtless. Wear ear protectors!!! 🎧❗Good luck with all your great work. Hugs from Norway 🇧🇻💖👍❄☃️
You are right about that! Spent alot of time running machinery, tractors along with sawing firewood. My ears ring all the time now! Btw...my family came from Aurland. Often times would like to return there to visit.
@@dontfit6380 does it keep you awake at night? It's the most weird thing bc every once in awhile it will entirely stop and I will hear absolutely nothing, dead quiet. Few minutes later it will start up again.
@@northdakotaham1752 absolutely! Yes I get the dead silence once in a while. I wish I would get it more! @@dontfit6380 ok...at least your doctor has some explanation. When that high pitched tone stops and it's quiet for a minute or two, I wonder at that point if my hearing has disappeared entirely. It usually happens at night when the house is quiet. Suddenly I hear nothing! Really weird!
Have you thought about a wood Furnace for heating the whole house ? You've had one before. We have one and it's really nice. Hot water and heated garage at the same time. Thanks for sharing. God bless
Another thing about their Husqvarna blades or the blade that goes on Husqvarna the oil port you should take off your bar and look where your ports are on your for bar oil and you get a drill bit maybe one size up drill bit drill it abit so ur bar stays cooler as well for the sake of your homestead you should be you some kind of vegetable oil that has the same thickness as bar oil
If it's bigger than 1 inch diameter I consider it big enough for firewood. There's a little battery operated chainsaw that can be used with one hand that's on my list of temptations for cutting up small stuff. The cart has the power, if you could get tires with deep tread for it..... That's the thing about electric chainsaws. They have less power and run time. But they are soooo much safer when in awkward positions or cutting up small rounds.
You could build removable sides for your trailer(green) out of 1x2's and wire! Put them in when hauling your wood or other higher things and remove them when not needed!
Instead, burn some of it in a woodstove that has a pressure chamber in it for making charcoal, woodgas, and tar. Some of the charcoal can be used to dry and remove sulphur and other corrosive impurities before pressurizing to 2200psi into repurposed welding tanks. Might as well do some cooking, roasting, baking, dehydrating, canning, pasteurising, etc. off of that same burn. The idea here is to get as many uses off that same stick as possible. btw -- How many trees did you plant to replace that one ? Do you have a soil-creation (not fertilization) plan to add depth to the topsoil ?
As a long time wood burner/scavenger I wouldn't use electric saws (especially Ryobi junk) And never cut when it's snowy or icey it's just too dangerous. Get it done before the snow flies. I love your enthusiasm, keep up the good work.

You have a 4 wheel tractor just for reasons just like this And you could use the loader instead of the cart and if you had used the tractor backing down the trailer instead of trk there would be no damage to yhe trk
position the cart under where you are cutting, less handling of wood, don't overfill cart, cos it can't get up the hill, better to make 6 successful trips, than 4 failed trips
Move to where it's warm. I never have to turn the heat on. I've never seen it get below 35 and that was in the middle of the night and since the house was warmed up by the sun and 65° Temps during the day simply adding an extra blanket is more than enough to sleep those very few nights where it gets that cold. Additionally it rarely gets over 90° at the hottest time of the summer so I've never needed AC (though after ten years here I recently bought a portable AC just to be a little more comfortable in the late July to mid-September period where things are at their hottest here and even then I mostly just use it at night to sleep more comfortably). Also there's almost no humidity here and very little rain. 64° here right now three days before Christmas. :D
Just out of curiosity what state are you in? We live in communist NY, and have been looking to move due to pending legislation (the downstate city people keep propagating this crap by who they elect, even upstate their are large pockets of Democrats wherever there is a population group together, stinks). We have a long heating season. I would rather just have a wood stove and fireplace for ambiance and not necessarily NEED them.
@@MrChristopoop It's funny but today might be one of the worst weather days in the decade since I moved here. The San Diego River is washing out roads and the winds are shredding the leaves on my banana trees. Still not as bad as a mild tropical storm in CT. I love it here.

Time for some knobby tires on the golf cart !
When hauling wood I pile some on the back of the golf cart, traction for the golf cart the saw and gas go on the floor up front. Makes a big dif.
Brilliant! 🙂

Yep, when you have to do one brake line.... do them all. much cheaper in the end.

Put it on market place. Just don’t expect to get what you paid for it. If your price is close to a new saw people would just buy the new saw.
Maybe two piles next year a pile to be split and a pile for just cutting out of?
