Amazing perspective! I've always wanted to go to Azteca and watch the US play against Mexico, and if the day ever comes when the Yanks beat the Mexicans in Azteca, may God have mercy on the poor American fans who are in the stadium at that time.
The US likes to make excuses when losing to Mexico, complaining about the Altitude and the heat.... if I'm mistaken didn't they play against Mexico at night when it snowed a few days before?
@AmandaWithLov3 @dirtybunny987 The Azteca is at an extremely high altitude and the players need to get used to the lower oxygen. Most of the Mexican players play in Mexico so they didn't need it, however, the Mexicans playing abroad still needed the tanks.
haha i live in toluca, its like 40 minutes from mexico city, here the altitude is over 8,500 feet and we have a soccer team in PRIMERA DIVISION (diablos rojos) so its funny to me watching athletes using oxigen tanks, although i totally understand
@AmandaWithLov3 it says right there because of the altitude the us does not have a high altitude, therefore if you go to mexico your going to have hard time breathing because of the low oxygen and add the fact that mexico has the most polluted oxygen.
I gotta tell you, The Azteca has a very hostile atmosphere to all visitors, not just the US. I dont think the US will ever get a victory against 100 000 people cheering to the local team like that. However it was a great match and I loved the video, nice job!
@WoolyWoolwine83 dude lol i im talking about the fans!! why does u.s fans have a chant that says "we hate mexico more than you" c'mon tell me thats not disrespectful of course mexican fans are going to do something about it!
@TheOneandOnlyAmateur AS MUCH AS I WOULD WANT THEM TO WIN THERE! this is a reason I dont want them to, becuz of the fans as well as the players there's no telling what they might do.
@TheOneandOnlyAmateur Well don't get Mexico mixed up with countries like Poland or Brazil where there's constant riots because their team lost. Here's a perspective of American fans at that same Azteca game being gaurded by mexican police because they are acting like idiots in a foreign country watch?v=TrptcgJ0PL4
@LoMejorDeCruzAzul haha I bet! Don't get me wrong, I've met some cool Mexico fans as well, but there are fans like that who take it way too far. I can only imagine what Brazil/Argentina is like!
@potrokiko Because there are other countries in CONCACAF (such as Honduras, Costa Rica, El Salvador, etc.), who hate Mexico as well (more so because they've been the CONCACAF giant for so many years now.). It's more of a "friendly rival" chant., if you get what I mean.
@VampireHiryu hahaha no you're almost right, except it's a 100% chance of trash--and when they change the game time to the heat of the day instead of the original afternoon time--they're sure to breathe in the glorious combination of nastiness and muck that is mexico city :) don't get me wrong, i'm from LA so i know all about that...
Wow no wonder it's so hard to win in Azteca elevation like that makes it hard to play. Plus the weather must be tough too... partly cloudy with a chance of trash :(
Lmao u take it as if its a do or die time...its simply hard work and getting around the ball and the game so just work harder and theyll be up there with mexico brazil argentina uruguay
Poor Landon was playing this game while he had the swine flu. To make matters worse they had to play in the high elevated and polluted Mexico City. From 8:57-9:13, that was uncalled for by the Mexican fans. Some of them have no class or respect. I may be Mexican, but I'm a die hard USA fan till I die. USA USA USA!!!!
Got to admit it was pretty cool seeing the Mexican fans celebrate after they scored a goal. They went crazy!
6:40 LOVE THAT SOUND!!

Thanks for finally posting this. I was beginning to think that this behind the scene's segment was just skipped.

Impresive video

Amen brotha!
i'm sorry but there is no such thing as classy fans, its sports. US fans would do the same thing
they show the replay of davies goal but not mexicos. wow. dont get mad cuz u guys lost.
@s0ccer96 Well, they did lose to Costa Rica in a qualifier for the 2002 World Cup, but so far that is their only loss (I believe) at the Azteca
@AmandaWithLov3 it says right there because of the altitude the us does not have a high altitude, therefore if you go to mexico your going to have hard time breathing because of the low oxygen and add the fact that mexico has the most polluted oxygen.
Can someone explain to me why they use oxygen tanks?
Mark this down. August 15, 2012 USA will win in Estadio Azteca! We BELIEVE in Usmnt
You're also forgetting one major one. Torrado GRABBING FEILHABER BY THE NECK AND ATTEMPTING TO STRANGLE HIM......and only getting a yellow for that.
@AmandaWithLov3 because they are playing in a stadium that is high in altitude
I wonder why they didn't show bradley's post game comments lol
Thanks US Soccer for deleting my comment with no explanation! :)

Oxygen tanks in Mexico City? I wonder what they do in Quito?

obviously an unfair advantage...maybe we can get a stadium on top of rushmore!
bob cursing? i love it!

Still can't wait till Gringos at The Gate comes out. Great perspective though.

Que de huevos!
I'm not going there without a police escort.
damn those u.s fans got balls in order 2 go 2 the azteca
Any place where fans throw trash on the field is trash.
