I'm a UT guy. I'm an SEC guy. First and foremost, I'm a college football guy. With what little I know, for all of the Oklahoma fans, you most definitely belong in the SEC. You are respected and have the SEC playstyle and mentality. I can't speak for everyone of course, but as for me, I'm glad that ya'll are here.
I mean the OU pedigree speaks for itself. We have better records/stats, etc than most SEC schools.

I think we will know in the first 8 minutes. My biggest question is how clean will Nico and the Oline be operating the hurry up offense on a silent count in this environment. Heupel’s teams typically don’t look the same against top teams on the road.
First year heupel has legit talent though makes it a little more interesting. + the headset communication could be huge for a young qb on the road. Will be a fun matchup to watch TN O vs OU D

I disagree on playing all 4 quarters. TN has plenty of players on the defense and plenty of receivers to stay fresh for a complete game.

It’s kinda hard to have a rival ya like so much. As a Sooner I absolutely love the Smoky Mountains and the people in Tennessee are good folks.

the OU offense is holding them back but thats what happens when you have a 100% new Oline & your top THREE receivers really havent played all year. OU needs to get healthy
We haven’t been bringing extra pressure in order to get pressure. Not sure which part of which game you have watched but we haven’t had to dial up a bunch of blitz’s to make it happen

I agree here somewhat. If this was in Neyland, I'd be more apt to say this could be a blowout, but it isn't. Nico has played on the road twice and played well twice. Granted, the atmosphere in OK is going to be hellaciously different. This could very well be a shoot out. Maybe even multiple overtimes. Personally, I want to see a no defense game. That's just me.

I’m anxious for the game, and yes Oklahoma has NA returning, so that will be a plus factor for OU. Not gonna lie, the game has me a little nervous just because it will be the toughest opponent to date, but like you said, BV and the other coaches are preparing for an electric game.
No clue how the game will go but I have always had respect for Tennessee. This may be their year.. we’ll find out soon!

You are worried about people making excuses if Oklahoma loses. Let's talk about all the excuses when Texas beat Alabama last year or when Texas beat Georgia the last time they played. Seems to me the SEC has plenty of their own excuses.
Instead of saying Tennessee starters haven't had to play four quarters, I'd say they haven't gotten to play four quarters. A massive chunk of all of Tennessees production has been in the first 2 quarters. You double that production, we're breaking records in every game this season so far. We haven't seen Tennessees 2nd half team as people say. How many games this year have been close where it's a top 25 team vs a way non ranked opponent and the top 25 team only started getting their crap together after halftime. We might be better in quarters 3 and 4 than in 1 and 2. All of the starters are more than used to performing well in 4 quarters of football.
This team is better than two years ago. We are top 5 defense, top 5 offense. Our quarterback and running backs are awesome. Our defense is very stingy. Lots of people are sleeping on Pearce. His numbers arent what they usually are but he is getting double and triple teamed. That right there opens up other opportunities for your defense. Better not sleep on the orange and white this year. This is just the beginning look at the 26 recruitment class already.
Its gonna be a dogfight. Yes on paper we should wear em out , but it aint played on paper. Lot of emotion in this game, TN gets the W but we'll have to earn it.

I'm a Sooner fan and will be at this game. I agree with you. I think TN wins, but they'll have to earn it.
Truth is, OU is starting 6 new offensive lineman and the experiment hasn't gone well yet. Couple that with the top 3 returning receivers out with injuries, OU will have to overcome a lot to win. UT's strength is the d-line. As an OU fan, I know OU is capable of winning, but I am also realistic. At this current time, and until OU gets healthy, they wont be favored against many teams in the SEC. That also has no bearing on whether or not OU belongs in the conference. OU is a blue blood and in time will be at the top of the conference perennially.
I think it’ll be a close game but I disagree with the Vols fans saying they’re gonna run us out if our stadium. I think it’ll be a one possession game. I hope it ends up with Tyler Keltner and he bangs out the winner. I’m trying to be honest about it.

Im a vols fan but this game against Oklahoma scares me. Or im worried about it. We haven't played anyone and Oklahoma is 40 times better thwn anyone we have played so far. NC state stifled our offense for the 1st half...just imagine what Oklahoma 's defense will do. Oklahoma's defense is light years beyond NC State's. Also, Oklahoma jumped out on Tulane last week by like 24 points and Tulane is a damn good team. Im just hoping we show up with our A-game and ready to play hard for 4 qtrs.

They moved TN to the favorite so they wouldn’t have to pay as much out on those bets if Tennessee does win which they obviously believe will happen.

Mark it down. Nico will be able to come out early in this one too. This Tennessee defense is going to keep Oklahoma on its backside. Dylan Sampson is going to rule and the wide receivers are going to show off.
Nico practices against a Dline better than what Oklahoma has. I think he'll be ok. He just needs to make reads. Also, it isn't just dropping a 70 or 71 on someone. Tennessee scored 30 in the first and 35 in the second. Had the starters stayed in, that would have been the highest scoring game in years.
I’m not sure that OU crowd will have sustained energy throughout all 4 quarters, JD… My prediction is the Sooners have had all the life sucked out of them by halftime when they look up and realize this game is already nearly beyond reach. All I can say is that if OU were to stand a chance, they CANNOT get down multiple scores early in the game. That’s all it takes for this team to separate themselves rather quickly, & next thing you know, you’re down 30+ points after it was just tied 1 quarter earlier. This UT Offense is ultimately too much for any defense to expect to hold down all game.. Realistically, the best you can really hope for is to limit their explosive plays as much as possible, & try to keep them out of the end zone on several of their drives, & stick to allowing FG’s on several other drives. OU will NOT be able to go score for score with UT. If it turns into an old fashioned scoring fest, expect the Vols to win by 20+

Tennessee's kryptonite on defense has always been dual threat QB's, even in the JH era. And OU will have a lot of key players back from injury. Also officiating in CFB this year has been tacky at best.
But UT wins this game. Nico will take over late and expose OU's back end. Probably around late 3rd qtr, or 4th qtr once he has his bearings on the crowd noise.

Well..Its Taken 23 seasons for Tennessee to get out of the crap hole.. before 2022...you have to go back to 2001 before you can find a Top AP 10 finish along with only (3) 10+ win seasons.. In between 2001 and 2024 Tennessee had 9 losing seasons and (3) 1 above .500 at 7-6 along with 7 different coaches. So if OU comes up short on Saturday... Maybe the Football Gods decided to shed a little light on the Volunteers for a change..
