OU’s Defense is gonna have to hold the Vols under 30 to win the game, and there may not be any team that can do that. Vols win this one, 45-13
You're not wrong. But the Vols also don't need much time of possession. They can drive in 1-2 minutes. So if you can't stop them on defense, the chances of winning a shootout aren't great.

Great breakdown! Sooners got a big test coming, but I think we can bloody the Vols noses. We gonna find out what Nico has in his veins. May the best team win.
I’d also like to see Tennessee defense breakdown against Oklahoma’s offense. Tennessee has not allowed an offensive touchdown dating back to the bowl game.
The problem with all the disguised defenses is that often teams don't have time to make those defensive calls. Once the offense starts a series they are often snapping the ball with 28 seconds still on the play clock. The defense doesn't have time to look at the offensive formation and then make a call. They frequently have to play their base defense, which is the entire point of the tempo.
@shaneparks5182 Oh, I think OU is familiar with it and will be prepared. Preparation doesn't change the fact that you can't make adjustments at the line of scrimmage. Nobody can. There just isn't enough time. You have to be comfortable playing mostly in your base formation. Venables is a great defensive coach. I expect the OU defense to have a plan.
@@shaneparks5182bro u can practice against it all year. The tempo isn't what gets the defense. It's not having time to communicate that kills the defense. That's why u see 4-5 plays a game where Tennessee has a guy running wide open.

OU Fan. Frist time on the channel. Good stuff. We've got some defensive depth coming back in Gentry Williams and Kendel Dolby (fingers crossed). Dolby is the key to defending Tenn. OU's defense is gonna make Tenn work for it. The question is, can the offense finally gel at the right time to play complimentary football.
@@TheFilmGuyNetwork Also, Kendal Dolby was arguably the defensive MVP the first two games...Totally agree on 24 being an NFL player though, he just needs to learn a little more and get more reps.
@@TheFilmGuyNetwork agreed! My comment was more intended towards the play you covered where 24 starts at the line and carries the middle seam. You were concerned about not having enough speed to do that vs. Tennessee. My point was the guy that normally plays that spot is more of a nickel than 24 meaning they may be able to. Still you provided excellent analysis!
when they were both here, as a player and both as coaches, the defense always won in scrimmages...and big, it was never a one score scrimmage. everyone wanted to see Adrian, Bradford, or some amazing offensive showing, but it was always the defense racking up points.
To be fair, I don't recall Heupel being full on wide choice offense then like he is now. Think he's evolved quite a bit as a coordinator in terms of just philosophy.
It's an unlisted video. Gotta be in the cool kids club to get CFB All-22 tape unfortunately. Unless you are a coach or player with Catapult access, you trade leaked tape in what is effectively a black market.
Good info! I think Tennessee is going to run heavy Double TE. & a 3man line is going to be challenged. Tennessee 275 yards rushing. But that what’s makes a horse race! Go Vols welcome to the SEC.
As a Tennessee fan, I respect this channel, it's great. He's the only Georgia fan I've seen on RUclips that actually understands how Tennessee's offense works and how to stop it.
@jeffmercer9655 I'm talking the basics here, I'm not saying he could be a D-coordinator and stop the offense. I'm just saying he understands it starts with personnel and matchups. Most people just say the offense is a gimmick because "it kills bad teams, but doesn't work against the Dawgs". Yes that's a quote lol
Most UT fans wont remember Dajon Terry. He Transfered here after 2 years in Kansas and was a good player. But wasn't a name perse? Good player and big body he was just stuck behind so many other guys.We rotate a lot of guys at DT like 6. Its kinda funny because our defense leans into exactly what our offense tries to prevent....and Ithink you are in for a rude awakening if you think Oklahoma is big in the SEC. They arent small but they are about to see teams the same size of them bigger multiple times a year now instead of once or twice.
You are in for a rude awakening you can’t even beat Texas who we smoke year and out twice a year some years. We are like Texas too big to fast but even better and more driven. You are in for a rude awakening and you are going to lose you should fear Oklahoma
What ? Texas will smoke you this year . Big talk from New team in the SEC. You got a very tough schedule ahead and all I can say is it's going to be fun watching the big wake up call. Welcome to the SEC.😂
#24 Sammy Omosigho is our back up cheetah and was playing bc #15 Kendal Dolby was out this last week. Kendal is a DB but has the physicality of a LB but can cover slots and is way better in coverage. He’s who will be playing against Tennessee btw, not #24
The starting cheetah was out for this game and he is more of a pass coverage guy 15 Dolby. 24 Sammy O is the heavy set guy but they wanted him to get more experience
You're right as far as matchups go. One thing to reemphasize is Tennessee will split WWWAAAAAYYYYY out. Those inside shots they absolutely will take. The qb for Tennessee can also hit the middle and across the top (matter of fact thats where he lives). I think Oklahoma will have to drop either both linebackers or at least one deeper and rely on their big boys up front. If Tennessee happens to do decently running I believe Oklahoma is really in trouble (if Tennessee's qb plays well). If Oklahoma stops the run then it comes down to execution for the recievers and qb. Should be a good game with in game adjustments IMO.
Enjoyed the breakdown. As a UT fan I think OU needs to stop the run game to make Nico beat them. I hope you are right about them not being able to run with them.
Great analysis. When I saw how small NC State was on the down front, I felt it was going to be a long day for the pack. But AL and GA have given TN problems with the size of their D line. OU will play well on defense, but their O line is dinged up. Advantage TN.
3 starters out on the line is a little mere substantial that just “dinged up”. Hopefully they improve this week, at least as much as they did between weeks 2 and 3. Need improvement from the RB room. Nic Anthony is finally back!
Man. So many pundits, amateur or professional, are fixated on the Vol O vs the Sooner D match-up. I guess Heupel's offensive reputation puts blinders on people like that. What you should be focusing on for this matchup is the Vol D vs the Sooner O.
As a Texas fan, OU's front 7 is absolutely legit. Jayden Jackson is the surprise there. Tenn is NOT gonna want to run up the middle. Pick around the edges and over top. Running into that front spells doom for basically ANY team. I think the longest run I have seen them give up is 7 yards. Seven yards.
Which brings up the question how good were the olines of tulane, houston, and Temple? With a simple Google search, you'll find that Houston had a ton of turnover on their offensive line, and that was by the toughest team Oklahoma has faced so far.
D lines are typically winded in 3 plays and that's without a hurry up offense. Defenses can't substitute against Vols offense. By halftime it's like playing a whole game.
@@djangoapple8230 Bro, Oklahoma invented the hurry up. 🤣 Edit: I don't actually know who invented it, but you aren't gonna catch them off guard running the ball in a hurry up. 🤣 You'll just 3 and out. And they are absolutely used to the hurry up. You can just put that advantage out of your head right now.
Don't underestimate OU"s defense. They're alot better than anything we have seen so far and Jackson Arnold can hurt you with his arm and legs. I just hope we can shoe up and get a win against Oklahoma because that would be huge.
the SEC is won on the line of scrimmage. who ever wins the line wins the game. UT has a healthy o-line, and a 13 man rotation on the D-line. these guys will get 10-20 snaps a game at most. Welcome to the SEC, i hope this is the birth of a rivalry.
On that invert Tampa 2 you missed the end of the the play when halton was fast enough to stop the qb from taking a corner and forcing him to the sideline
I see this game being close the 1st half. If Ou cannot move the ball which they havent done this year at a acceptaple clip, the defense is going to gas out because they wont be able to get off the feild. If Ou can have success moving the ball against a great Tenn Defense it will be a hell of a game.
When OU decides to get cute and start blitzing those LB on the run and Josh chooses to go running back screen, it’s gonna be deadly. Dylan Sampson gets 150 APY and scores 3 TD.
Tennessee's receivers are going to line up way wider than whats on film here too. Welcome to the SEC OU!! I hope in the future, our teams can build a healthy rivalry and everyone has success. Lets go Vols baby!
Those 320+ pounders on OUs DL are gonna be gasping for air after the first 3 plays. Sooners have to turn the Vols over and keep Nico running to be able to win
24 will be 15 saturday. Concussion protocol last week he'll be back and 100%. Hes gonna play on sundays much more of a hybrid safety corner than a 250 pound lb
I believe the Baylor/Briles offense that Josh’s offense is largely based is a gimmick that ultimately gets crushed when it meets elite defenses - is OU elite on D? we will see on Saturday
@@ManfreeFreeman or Sampson out of backfield, or TE. I don't think their Lb' s can cover what's coming. They will be baited to stop the run too many times.

Vols offense is loaded at wr,te and rb positions. We have thrown about 4 td passes to our big te players. Oklahoma fies not havevthe speed to cover our wr group. Vols have about 7 studs that can catch tge ball and take it to the house on slant passed and deep vertical throws which nico is very accurate on deep ball passes of 30 to 50 yards down the field. Squirrel white, bru mccoy, thortom, brassell, nimrod and freshman Mike Matthew's will all wear our tge sooners linebackers and secondary players. Especially when heyple stacks them 2 deep on outside on both sides of the field. That will open up the slant passes to our templates and open middle up for Dylan Sampson and deshawn bishop to gain big chunks of yards in the ground game. Then we can bring in freshman track speedster Lewis to also run the ball
Which by the way our offensive attack has been stalled these first three games because of Arnold not having that player chemistry the reps with these younger kats that he’s been having to throw to due to off season practice that he’s had with Burks and Anderson. These are actually ready dudes that have been injured no so much Burks but we lost Anderson and we lost Jaden Gibson who was a break out dude last year with Anderson
Yeah that's easier to do if you have better personnel than Tennessee, so you can win matchups, like Georgia has been able to do. Not sure if Oklahoma can do it, but we'll see
I’m sure that’s what they’d like to do, but we’re averaging 63 points a game and our defense hasn’t allowed td all the way before last year’s citrus bowl game so it’s definitely not gonna be easy. It probably isn’t plausible.
I wish Oklahoma could win this game. But I just don't think it's going to happen. There's way too many issues with this team and if oklahomacan hold Tennessee under 20 points, then I believe they have a chance but I think our offensive line is way too weak and too many injuries and I believe that Jackson Arnold is going to throw at least 1 or 2 interceptions which is going. To make it a lot easier for Tennessee to win. And I think tennessee is going to win 31 - 21
24 is a backup regular starter was out concussed and runs a lot better then 24.js..I think you will see some things you have not seen this year defensive wise..so hold on..lol

MAke sure you subscribe and tell your friends!
Great work. FYI 24 doesn’t usually start. Kendal Dolby starts in that spot and is more of a nickel style player.
I still like 24 a lot haha. NFL player IMO
OU fan first time watching really enjoyed it, 24 is a redshirt freshman he wont see as much run on Saturday 15 will be back from injury.
Subbed. Excellent breakdown. 🍊
Welcome aboard!
when they were both here, as a player and both as coaches, the defense always won in scrimmages...and big, it was never a one score scrimmage. everyone wanted to see Adrian, Bradford, or some amazing offensive showing, but it was always the defense racking up points.
To be fair, I don't recall Heupel being full on wide choice offense then like he is now. Think he's evolved quite a bit as a coordinator in terms of just philosophy.
Where do you get the all 22 film from? Some look like RUclips videos, but wasn't able to find them myself.
Love the breakdowns!
If this doesn't bring in Tenn and OK fans, then those fanbases don't care about knowin ball.
I’m watching this like I’m about to play safety on Saturday, Boomer Sooner
As a Tennessee fan, I respect this channel, it's great. He's the only Georgia fan I've seen on RUclips that actually understands how Tennessee's offense works and how to stop it.
He don't know what it takes to stop it
@jeffmercer9655 I'm talking the basics here, I'm not saying he could be a D-coordinator and stop the offense. I'm just saying he understands it starts with personnel and matchups. Most people just say the offense is a gimmick because "it kills bad teams, but doesn't work against the Dawgs". Yes that's a quote lol
@@jeffmercer9655 LOL!

No offense but Pearce does not play the same position as terry. Pearce is about 80 pounds less
Nice break down like your channel man go big damn orange!!!’🍊🍊🍊
Heupel will see things no doubt, but will Nico, see it fast enough?
#24 Sammy Omosigho is our back up cheetah and was playing bc #15 Kendal Dolby was out this last week. Kendal is a DB but has the physicality of a LB but can cover slots and is way better in coverage. He’s who will be playing against Tennessee btw, not #24
That's good news! I still like 24 btw, dude is a baller
Good analysis! I learned a lot. thanks!
#24 is the backup chetah/nickle normally in vs heavier personnel starter is a safety/corner with better speed but obviously not as big
Ou fan, just found you on Twitter.
It helps to have every player be NFL caliber like UGA had.
Vols by fifty lmao.
They might hang within 10 in the 1Q but after that GBO!
Bigger the better, just means they get gassed faster when TN goes fast. I see a lot of "cramping" in this game.
Yes I see a lot of cramping also right before Tennessee goes hurry up someone will hit the ground
The starting cheetah was out for this game and he is more of a pass coverage guy 15 Dolby. 24 Sammy O is the heavy set guy but they wanted him to get more experience
24 has an NFL future. Really big and explosive athlete.
32 is R Mason Thomas. 34 is PJ Adebewore
Grinding from Chicago
Really cool id like to see the other side
#24 is a back up. Kendal Dobly will be in and his is a killer DB that will play on Sundays
Not this year🍊🧡🍊🧡
Edit: I don't actually know who invented it, but you aren't gonna catch them off guard running the ball in a hurry up. 🤣
You'll just 3 and out. And they are absolutely used to the hurry up.
You can just put that advantage out of your head right now.
Tennessee will hold off on substituting. If they can sustain drives, they will try to wear out those big guys on defense.
Sampson will run for over a clip and a half.
22:45 squirrel white is praying for times like these 😂😂 fantastic video though man
Hope the new folks watch and stick around unlike texas/michigan breakdown. I think you'll get more traction on pregame film vs post, embrace the hype
Don't underestimate OU"s defense. They're alot better than anything we have seen so far and Jackson Arnold can hurt you with his arm and legs. I just hope we can shoe up and get a win against Oklahoma because that would be huge.
Whatever you have seen Defensively from OU, throw it out the window they will play totally different looks against Tennessee.
the SEC is won on the line of scrimmage. who ever wins the line wins the game.
Hopefully dassan mccullough is available. Bigger and faster than everybody you mentioned!!
How does this fare against 12 personnel?
There is no Tennessee tape…
Tennessee's receivers are going to line up way wider than whats on film here too.
Welcome to the SEC OU!! I hope in the future, our teams can build a healthy rivalry and everyone has success.
Lets go Vols baby!
Oklahoma has done the same stuff, it’s still pretty much a Lebby offense. I too hope for a really fun, passionate, and intense rivalry.
Welcome to the big leagues facing Oklahoma Tennessee. Hope you enjoy the healthy rivalry and don’t take it too personal when you lose.
You gotta be able to stop/limit Tenn in bad defense because of the tempo.
If they're rushing 3 Dillon Simpson kills Oklahoma
You will rush 6 and still lose
Dylan. Spelling
I believe the Baylor/Briles offense that Josh’s offense is largely based is a gimmick that ultimately gets crushed when it meets elite defenses - is OU elite on D? we will see on Saturday
Alot of "im not sure" for Oklahoma, and then a lot of "for sure, without a doubt, 100%" for Tennessee....we'll see
Dope shirt. Went to kurt cobains childhood home and “the bridge” in Aberdeen, WA a few days ago. Boomer!
omg what a long week. it's just dragggggggggin on
Does OU have the horses for the back end? It looks suspect.
A LB covering the middle 3rd is a recipe for Squirrel to crank up rocky top.
Squirrel will eat them up!
@@ManfreeFreeman or Sampson out of backfield, or TE. I don't think their Lb' s can cover what's coming. They will be baited to stop the run too many times.
Dolby is the “cheetah” but he’s a former corner. Omosigho won’t be playing Saturday
@@1stoferDon't underestimate OU"s defense. They're alot better than anything we have seen so far and Jackson Arnold can hurt you with his arm and legs. I just hope we can shoe up and get a win against Oklahoma because that would be huge.
@@joshuawhite7515 oh its going to be a good game I'm sure. I sure don't want to watch another one sided blow out. This is a really good measuring stick for both teams . Prediction - TN 38 OU 21
Subscribed. This guy knows balls. 🤣🤣🫡
Nigerians, farm boys and Samoan...I'm dead! 😂
No lies detected
This dude knows his shit
No one is talking about what hasn’t been tested yet with Tennessee secondary and we have burks and we have back Nick Anderson.
IF OU goes with a 3-3-5, rushing yards are going 📈
That D line will have tongues hanging by 2nd quarter
Heupel is salivating at this opportunity to decapitate OUs Defense. So ready for this matchup.
The way to beat Rocky Flop is stop the run and pressure the QB and play physical against the WRs if Nico runs light him up make him scared to run!
Yeah that's easier to do if you have better personnel than Tennessee, so you can win matchups, like Georgia has been able to do. Not sure if Oklahoma can do it, but we'll see
sounds like the goal of every d coordinator in college and pro football lol
I’m sure that’s what they’d like to do, but we’re averaging 63 points a game and our defense hasn’t allowed td all the way before last year’s citrus bowl game so it’s definitely not gonna be easy. It probably isn’t plausible.
Go look at recruiting classes Oklahoma has better players yearly their class is leagues higher than Tennessee
@@BillLup-eb7ltMoron….

But can Ok rotate them big guys with 2-3 more big guys at each position? If not them boys will be huffin and puffin before the half!
The have great depth on the dline
