Really enjoying watching you chasing big Barra. Not knowing the area, why does the rivers appear dirty. Does not seem to stop you getting the big girls. Happy new year, Dave.
@@waynebetts9074 With the Cambridge Gulf being so long and with all the rivers that flow into it brings all the mud to the top half of the system and with big 8m tides it gets stirred up all the time but when the neap tides comes around it does clear up for a few days, then just keeps circling around. The Barra love it and doesn’t stop them from seeing lures or bait moving around. Happy New Year to you and the family Cheers Wayne 👍🍻🎣
90km to the creek Snaga you need some juice to get there and it shows how long and wide our creek systems are particularly around Wyndham and the NT. I like bombers, RMG liquid limes and reidys B52's. Great Barra lures beside Raptors. Star Link so good for you and Andy. A purple old dog lure and black white and red head Flatz Rats, even a pink and purple lively lure would be perfect in the chocolate coloured water. The barra were in prime condition and had plenty of ticker picking up the sonic vibrations of the lures. You got it a to yourself Snaga. The Major BB🎩🎣🤩🤩🐟🤟🤘🤙👌👍
@@chrisdoran7596 Huge systems Major. Thankfully it’s coming into a time where the fishing will be closer to home and don’t have to travel so far. Definitely all good lures mate, just depends what they won’t to eat at that time 🤦♂️🤣 Thanks Major 💯🍻🎣🎣
You make it look so easy mate... you're driving the boat, reeling in the fish, landing the fish, and videoing the whole thing... all at the same time!!!
Lovin the videos mate, I was watching Mikeys Kimberley series and started following you from there. What’s the story behind the pot plant in the boat? You growing some onions or something? 🤔
@@fishnchippys6204 Your the first person has asked this question Chippy 👌 When I buy spring onions from a shop I cut off what need and plant them. They grow back fast so when I’m doing over night trips I take a pot and when I do a cook up I get fresh spring onions especially with rice and fish extra. Really appreciate you coming over from Mikey Cheers mate for the comment 💯🍻🎣🎣
Great work Dave. I always marvel at the fact that you rarely see another boat on your videos. That's got to make it a magic place. Happy new year mate.
Thanks Dave, Happy New year and another great video the drone footage at the start is great. doing a 90 km run i am going to need more jerry cans if the place is that big. 🎣🎣
Gday Neil, Happy New Year to you and the family as well mate. Haha yes definitely need a lot of fuel but all depends on how far you travel and speed you sit on. I think I flew back that day doing 27 to 30kn 😂. I knew the wind would be coming so hammered it to that creek 😂 Cheers mate 💯🍻🎣

Good to see you again in 2025. I'M interested to know what rods and reels you use for barra and jacks as I'm looking to buy a new outfit. Looking forward to seeing more of you in 2025
Hi Chapman, The next vlog coming out will show the Rods I’m using now and the reels I us are Diawa 150 & 200HD. I also have a Smoke 200 HD reel. Different reels have different line class ranging from 30 to 60lb braid. My leader changes from 30lb to 80lb. The travel rods are from Jabbers Australia. They are next level with such ease to transport and bloody tough. Sorry for the late reply Cheers Steve 🙌🍻🎣
