I am on my way to my internship interview right now! This is my last step to get my degree. I’m not nervous, and I feel like not being nervous can be an issue also! Because I really do CARE!
I love how this is a substance abuse counselor video yet it has extremely stigmatic imagery of what someone with substance use disorder looks like. Apparently everyone looks homeless and lives in a dump. No wonder why there is so much stigma when it comes substance use disorder, even "professionals" drive stigma
This is something coming from inside of you, not the video. For all of the core functions and the overwhelming majority of the video the substances users are drawn no different than the professionals, it’s only in a beginning and the end they have disheveled, messy character models. Yes, it is true that some populations of substance users present messy. I’ve worked as a professional in a high risk neighborhood with severely dependent individuals and most look like that unfortunately. That’s not “stigma” it’s the nature of the progression of the illness for some.
@@someordinarydude9147 This simply is not true, just because it has been your experience does not mean it represents the whole population of people with substance use disorder. I work in a treatment center where people come in and you wouldnt think twice whether or not they were struggling with alcohol or substances. We dont have to pictorialize this disease with negative imagery and make it look like people with this disease are just losers who cant take care of themselves. That is stigma, and if you dont see that you are part of the problem.
@@someordinarydude9147 I am not agreeing with you on anything you said. You dont see that using imagery like this is sterotyping, and that is stigma. The majority of people with substance use disorder do not look like this. It is offensive, and not a good look for a “professional” video. You obviously are a dinosaur in this field and would be better off retiring. Sounds like you need to be a little more “gung ho” when it comes to looking out for the community. Again all the language you have used in your comments says it all. You are the problem.

@@WHOAREYOUPEOPLEErica-eo1ji I never done it unfortunately but I would have done it in the Midwest

@@GeeWizKhalifa. We’re agreeing with one another, you’re just too gung-ho on being combative to realize we do.

@@GeeWizKhalifa. I urge you to reread my first response careful because you fundamentally misunderstood what I said. Btw I’m in my late 20s
