If you end up still not liking the spray bottle and you want a smaller one try the pet store in the reptile section I have a really good little clear spray bottle I use to mist my reptiles and it’s a good fine mist xx
For the mesh fraying problem, you could put the mesh between two pieces of wax paper and us a hot iron to melt it together a bit. Don't apply too much pressure because you could end up melting it into one big piece of plastic.
You could even fold the fabric of the blanket and stuff it with extra fabric or stuffing and make a cushion for the bebes on the Coptic case. Also, you could try using a hair dryer to heat the plastics and maybe melt them a little
You got the same foam pack that I grabbed from Michaels for my button packs. Works so great. And it is so close to the size of the bags. Hope they work for you as well!
I would do a light mixture of glue/modpoge and water. Lay the mesh flat. Spray it on the mesh. Let dry. If you want the mesh flat then iron it with a piece of paper in between to prevent melting
I found some really inexpensive fine mist bottles on Amazon that I've been using when I do watercolors. They are being sold for aromatherapy/essential oils, but they mist water really well. They are sold by Alink Official. A pack of six plus a microfiber cloth and a nozzle was around $7.
*Can you sell your buttons on your online store? I’ve always wanted them but I live in Sweden, but if it’s just an inconvenience or you don’t want to of course that’s fine

you might be able to take an iron on low temp (use a piece of freezer paper on top) to kind of melt the layers of mesh together for future use.

Why don't you try using cabinet liner for the pins?
You can try clear nail polish on the edge of the mesh, just so the parts stick together, that might help!
