Hey everyone I am Lauren the bride. It has been 6 years since our wedding day and Chris and I have built a beautiful life for ourselves and our family. I absolutely love all the support and comments from everyone. Thank you for taking the time to watch one the most treasured memories I have. We worked very hard for a whole year on this and I am so proud of us for how well we did. Irish dancing is extremely difficult but also very fun! I check in every few months to see the new comments and smile watching the video. ♥️😁
Tha was reeeeeally nice to watch - your dancing and the cheering from your friends and family! Pure Joy! Love and appreciation from Vienna/Austria/Europe!
This is by a country mile the best wedding dance ever. Beautifully romantic, cultural and just in general well performed. I wish only good things for this family. God bless you
Wow! What an amazing dance routine. They were both spot on. I took Irish dance lessons for years when I was a kid and let me tell you, it’s incredibly difficult. What a lovely way to celebrate their wedding. “May you both live as long as you want And never want as long as you live”. ❤️ Irish Wedding Blessing
That was outstanding it made me want to dance. I am Mexican but I also love Irish music, and watching the video brought tears to my eyes. Marvelous. Keep up the good job in your marriage and the years to come. 👍👏👏💃🕺
I’m Palestinian and majority of my family are redheads and I love when people ask if we are Irish! We take it as a compliment. I love my Irish brothers and sisters! Palestinian by blood Irish by heart! 🇵🇸❤️🇮🇪
Congratulations on your marriage. You're both blessed to have one another. May the Lord continue the many blessings you both deserve. May your home be filled with little dancing feet as you enjoy this beautiful journey life offers you. Thank you for sharing with us your beautiful Wedding Dance. God bless you both. What a beautiful couple and the most wonderful dance ever, now that’s how to celebrate love, good to hear you have a lovely life for you both and your family.
Oh my, I play this piece in orchestra and absolutely love it! Now it will be even better as I remember the dances and the happiness that comes with it!
I hope you two have continued to dance. ❤❤❤ edit: and don't know why, but had me crying. I guess being 67, Irish in bloodline and heart, and tired of all the discord and hatred going on around the world at this chaotic time in history. To see such love and dedication (in learning a hard dance) moved me to tears. God bless.
That was lovely Lauren - and lovely to hear that your family is growing and you are making a happy life for yourselves. Keep safe and well in these troubled times. Love from Belfast.
Absolutely fantastic, loved their tribute to their roots danced so beautifully. Couples who dance together stay together. Despite living in Northern Ireland in a rural area, there was no Teacher near enough for me to take my eldest son, only when no 4 son came along 30 yrs ago it was possible, unfortunately, his Dad and I had split up, obviously he was very clingy also I couldn't afford the fees. Although 'the Troubles' were still going on, I didn't care what others thought. He was born here Religion wouldn't have made a jot of difference to me. My Mum, in earlier times was privately educated, though raised in one of the areas in Belfast deeply embroiled in religion, she was taught Irish History, felt strongly when she went to School in the 30's that language should be taught too. She strongly agreed with me on language and dance, unfortunately because of those times, it was so difficult. My youngest granddaughter is 3, her birthday is 29/11 she is going to be given lessons. Her Mother is mixed marriage as are she and my son, I know they will definitely approve of that instead of ballet, which admittedly she talks about a lot, oh dear. I think she'll take to it like a duck to water. She's a real ginger gorgeous girl which so many take to be real Irish, I'm Scottish born lived in an area with a strong redhead gene pool, my sisters were all Auburn, brothers black as coal. I'm just brown, thank goodness I and my ex passed it to her ginger Dad, her little brother is almost black, goes to show. We're all Irish and proud of it, oh, I'm so proud of Scotland too...
That is just cutter & sweeter than a Irish Kiss!! I know being a dancer and 1/4 Irish, what hard work that took to make it look so easy and smooth flowing!! Blessings to you in your new Irish lives together, again, Irish Blessings to you both and your friends and family look wonderful and full of support, wow, this was back in 2013!! I just found it tonight while scanning the internet...6 yrs together has been great!!! 🕯🥂🕯🥂🎄😉🍃🍻🥂🍻
"The Brave" and Prince !" With All My Respect !!! Your's tradition is One of the most popular and most beautiful in the entire World ... Music is something special ... ...
I'm not Irish , but of Lebanese descent and married to a Scot/Irish and a wee bit of French living in the Laurentian hills of Quebec Canada....and think it to be AWESOME for you to have shared this memorable (one of) part of your wedding (6 years ago ...it goes quickly eh?!) When we got married (30 years ago/ August 4th) we had a belly dancer (can you imagine if we had a Scottish bagpiper or Irish dancers.... all together ....lol. Thank you again and wishing you many more years of blessings 🤗
So sweet and so fantastic. Lauren and Chris, we had to know it was you, the wedding couple. Because of stuff like this, life gets five stars. So sweet!
This was the best couple wedding dance I've seen in awhile. I hate when the couple dances just look stupid, but this one was awesome!! Great job and many happy years!!
A very belated congratulations to you both. What a beautiful way to celebrate and you were both so good. Wishing you a life time of good health and happiness xx
Today is my 40th Wedding Anniversary and somehow I happened to find this beautiful video!!!! Loved it!!! Wish you all God’s blessings always! My next life I want us to be you two!!!

Same here..Took my Mom, Dad and Son to see Lord of the Dance in Sacramento..it was fantastic....My Father has been a bagpiper from the wee age of 6..Born in Glasgow. Started the San Francisco Police Bagpipe Band in the early 50's...Very fond memories
I love the internet for letting me randomly stumble upon this!!! These two are rockstars!!!!! :) and I was nervous to just do a little sway slow dance for our first song 😬 hahha
I have to say, without any doubt at all, this is the single most lovely first dance I have ever seen in these videos (and I'm kind of addicted for some reason) absolutely incredible to watch.. the energy between the two of you, from the family & friends around you.. just one word for it really... amazing Love & Light to you both, always
I'm an old man of Irish descent here in the states and I've never seen this at any wedding. I wish you had mentioned the area where this was. I will admit, this happiest of moments brought a tear to my eye for the effort you two made. Made, many years of happiness to you two.
postalinVT come to a West Cork wedding and there will be plenty of dancing to be had with set dancing for all to join in as well. Sure it wouldn't be a wedding without the dancing.
Yeah, some families here in the US still uphold a few traditions so occasionally you'll see it at a wedding but it's few & far between. My great grandma came here from County Clare, Ireland as well as other earlier ancestors that were from Meath, Cork & Donegal. My family has upheld alot of the singing but my friend's family (that's also of Irish decent) all continue to practice clogging so it is around. What you're far more likely to see if your around the Appalachia of the US is an evolution of Irish song & dance w/ fiddling, banjo, dulcimer & step dancing thx to the early Scot-Irish immigration. Easy to see the influences ruclips.net/video/oN3H2JPqKRY/видео.html
