Another way to improve your builds is to simply leave them for a time and do something else then go back to them if you're losing motivation or just simply burnt out If you tend to forget things or can only focus on one thing, this may be difficult but in my experience, it's helped. In fact, in doing this, the other build helps me with the main build I'm doing cos I'm getting new ideas and stuff
Pretty accurate!! Also don't be afraid to make mistakes. Projects tend to evolve from other ideas which look like mistakes. You build on that and your project really begins to take shape. It can be time comsuming but you will love the end result.
***** That's exactly how I started. It was a sort of test world which I didn't expect much from. It kinda evolved from there into the raging beast it is now. However in my case I got to many going at one time. Now I have several none of which are close to completion. So advise there is don't try to do to much at once I guess. Good points though!! :)
nice video dude, awesome editing xD! As a builder it frustrates me having my friends do shitty builds so i'll definitely share this video with them. Great job!
Wow. Very detailing. I'd recommend this to all the people who love building out there. I plan on becoming a builder. I see that this is where I should start and keep progressing. Practice will make perfect and as always I need to have fun and learn from my mistakes. This is truly an awesome video. You've earned my sub.
DanisnotDan That's the only way to go right? I dislike when people say things like...."This build makes my build look stupid," or something along those lines. Just get better at building, building is a talent. It can be learned.
Galaxy Guardian i was on builder test before and i just tried to make a terra and someone just tell its too flat, etc and i have a best friend he is a master builder and he make me can build like a master builder and i just watched this video and i was accepted to be builder on server and i just promoted again to head-builder and the owner of the server tell me to build a lobby....thx so much for this tips
this video is very accurate I've been using these same methods and I can tell you first handedly layering your walls and coming up with difficult patterns make the build
this guy literally just built one of the most impressive things in minecraft history, uploaded six videos, taught us how to build better in two videos, left and never bothered to elaborate.
1 thing I will say about a lot of the builds in this video is that you seem to use just one colour of block a lot, which can make your builds look a bit flat especially with default textures. But your huge builds are still fucking cool.
I myself have been looking forward to more people showing me the styles they build in to give me ideas on patterns with cobble walls, stairs, and slabs. I have been thinking of practicing a lot on different things to build with. Just like; trees, cars, houses, planes (I enjoy them), and relics, or anything.. (ect.) I have been as of right now building with my imagination myself and things I have learned. Patterns, more ways of using w.e, and depth/width/length.
Soo true, I'm a Cineplex builder,I create large scale buildings for a living, everyone should know these tricks and some pro tricks you have to learn yousilf.
You make it seem so simple. You should start some kind of program that teaches people how to build. Kind of like english in school. It teaches how to reach your full potential as a writer. You could do the same with building
My very first castle was rebuilt over and over, I never bothered to read up on the game or change settings so it was strictly survival and I had no idea what I was doing...it was so bad, sooooo many creeper incidents.
can you make a lets build series, or just upload some more mega build, or a noobs guide to building something like that, either way, keep up the good work bro :D
LOL it took him 6 months to make center of valhalla and that's with fucking worldedit. Can you imagine how long it takes to make builds that massive? The real question is how much of that 6 months is play time
Harry T Never used worldedit I failed hard at trying to install mods and decided I'll just stick with vanilla. I'm playing survival now in a realm with friends gunna b fun as fuck actually having mines! An infrastructure that makes sense, a civilization sustaining off the land, so stoked
petros kitazos Don't feel terrible about your builds. That does nothing for you, nor for the video creator. The only way that you can get better is to practice, practice, practice. Don't forget, that watching others should always be inspiration. You want to build better right? The get to building. Your creations will only get better over time. That's what I'm doing. Even in my own lets play, I tend to make progress as time goes by. For example, I currently have plans to build a fortress with a Central Tower and 8 Outer Towers. This fortress will have an inner wall and an outer wall as well. All built in a 250x250 area that I flattened out myself, block by block...no mods at all. So far, I have built a Slime Farm, Chicken Farm, and Decorated my Mine Shaft that goes to level 12. My next project, is a Dual Blaze Spawner XP Farm.
Haris Squide Exactly, I'm moving onto better things. I kind of want to spend some time playing Minecraft still, but I'm working on building my own empire in the real world. Even a spacecraft. I know that sort of thing takes millions, which I'm also in the process of working on. Not there yet, no where near. But I'll get there. I just have to adopt a schedule like all the other successful people in life. Spend some time doing this, doing that, the next thing, and sooner or later things start getting done. Much like when in school, going from class to class. Only this time, it's solo.
i feel like you orgot to say "dont be intimidated by the castles." idk i feel like lots of ppl well think they have to do some thing like the castle. nice vid keep it up :D
I play on my Xbox One and it's really tough to do big builds via console because console is so limited, there still aren't any Mods for console version, so the biggest challenge I've come across is creating things with the limited amount of block choice and due to the fact that the texture packs and such really do suck. The texture packs I've found my self more prone to using is either the Greek Mythology Texture pack, Natural Texture pack, the Fantasy Texture pack or the Skyrim Texture pack. I got PC minecraft but as a novice I haven't the slightest clue as to what I should do.
Something else that i think you should probably mention is the fact that you shouldn't be afraid to break down a large section of your creation to do it over again. I know i suffer from this, and i realize it too, but if i put a lot of effort into something but it just doesn't look right, i don't want to break it down and start again. Even if it's just a section of your construct break it and build it again.
I have minecraft only on my ps3 pshh kinda inaccurate to the PC -_- I had it on PC but I had to reset it but when I get it back on PC then I'll use these things you told me, I'm sure this will help!
I don't really know about this.... The builds shown as an example seem to be boring and limited, with stone and pillars like cobblestone wall. Depth is great, but the examples of depth have a crappy and bland block choice, that doesn't work well without shaders
Another way to improve your builds is to simply leave them for a time and do something else then go back to them if you're losing motivation or just simply burnt out

I'm going to build and build until I'm a master builder. I know I'm a decent builder, but I can only get better.
Me too :D
DanisnotDan That's the only way to go right? I dislike when people say things like...."This build makes my build look stupid," or something along those lines. Just get better at building, building is a talent. It can be learned.

Hey I have a question. Which makes my build look better? Flat world or default world?
deafult.
+Rishikhesh Chakrapani Flat worlds are there only for practice.. only use them as such
Ok
やっぱり世界にはまだまだ天才が埋もれてる。
My very first castle was rebuilt over and over, I never bothered to read up on the game or change settings so it was strictly survival and I had no idea what I was doing...it was so bad, sooooo many creeper incidents.
