9 years and I still come back to this video, it's such an amazing build. What you managed to achieve with the limited amount of blocks available back then truly beats anything build today in my book
Almost 8 years later and this is still my favorite build in Minecraft. I would love to see a new video with modern shaders and maybe even some texture swaps with some of the new blocks since 2013.
I have to say this is one of the most unique and colourful builds in minecraft, and in a way it makes me sad because this style of building has just died out along with half of the minecraft building community. You just don't see this much and it's a shame, congrats thatoldkid on making one of the most impressive builds in minecraft :D also you should upload more, doesn't have to be a huge megabuild just some things to keep in touch with your audience :)

This is something truly spectacular, a real peace of art and proof games aren't good or bad, but what you make of them. The fact this was made by one person in the same place young kids lose entire weeks just playing simple tactical games on random servers serves to prove that Minecraft is still capable of doing wonderful things. In his mind, that is not enough, minecraft height limit is one of the problem and that's one of the reason why many builders are leaving the game, including me
I just found this map I downloaded back then with my other old maps and 1. I finally can load this hole thing without my PC crashing or lagging, but it takes around 5 min to get all the chunks 2. this is still the embodyment of Megabuilds and I love the style of lighting 3. I got so many Minecraft flashbacks by just roaming your map 4. ended up with the violent urge to watch this awesome video again. not disappointed.
I'm always blown away by what you are able to accomplish by yourself. This build is easily one of the best I have ever seen and the fact you did it by yourself makes it so much more impressive. You deserve to be so much bigger than you are right now. I'll be supporting you the whole way.

Yeah, then you know how I feel about a cathedral project I started 4 years ago and which still only is about 15% finished... It takes Ages, but I'm also placing every single block manually... I honestly wish it only had taken 6 months, but yet here I am.. On the 4th year of building that damn thing :)
Ya I play on my friends survival server with about 20 people and once I finish like a two month project I'm pooped out.Just staying up into 2 in the morning listening to music and mining to get resources let alone building stuff and inevitably during a few times.But man once it's done and it looks good u feel amazing

I can understand if its done by 100 builders but to think that one guy build this all by himself is ridiculous and insane, if you put this much effort into anything I'm sure you will succeed at anything. Just insane.

i remember seeing this when it had like 2k views and the fact that its still "unknown" compared to many other "best minecraft creations" really bothers me, because this is defenitely by far the biggest minecraft creation i have ever seen and defenitely one of the best colour and structure wise extremely well done sir
