    This is a realistic tutorial about ec2 auto scaling because it shows use of a private AMI for the application. It would also be useful to show how to upgrade the AMI to a new version of the application which would require swapping out all of the existing instances with the new upgraded instances, perhaps requiring a small amount of downtime.

    Hi Sir, Very nice explanation.
    I am trying to do it practically. It fails to launch the instances with following
    Cause:CauseAt 2020-05-03T03:17:38Z an instance was started in response to a difference between desired and actual capacity, increasing the capacity from 0 to 2.
    What might be the reason.

    Hello sir, just to reconfirm myself, you also mentioned launch configuration contains private key info, so is it added in userdata or we have separate tab for that?

    • @rfrancoi
      @rfrancoi 5 лет назад

      "Userdata" is used for additional settings to the instance, such as application installation. The example that he gave was Apache (httpd). Has nothing to do with "Private key".
