Wow! The instrument is very beautiful! Normally, I don't love a high shine gloss finish, but it does make the flaming stand out very nicely. I agree with your point about the one-piece foot for the chinrest. I do not play with a shoulder rest, so I think the separate feet under the chinrest would become irritating. Cork would probably be a better material for the non-slip parts, although it does degrade over time.
I'm also not very keen on high gloss varnish but this piece of maple really deserves it!
My recommendation: Drink a good bottle of Greek red wine and cut down the cork in slices, using them for buffering the chin rest components. Would work out as a win win result.
I had a NEMEA yesterday night and I can recommend it.
Every day ends together with a bottle of Nemea! Do you have a prefered winery? In the past I used to import wine so I still have a small stok! But I prefer to use sheets of cork rather that bottle cork as it is more homogeneous.
@@maestrokimon Well, it was more meant with a wink of an eye. I recently got my bottles from ALDI Nord in Germany (Münster). The winery is Cavino SA Agio. The price is ridiculously low for the quality of this 2020 wine - 4€. French red wine of the same quality would cost 3 times as much.
Do you as a master teacher and luthier create 🎻 or teach family of bowed string instruments with ever, mode 2 and more 5 plate tune as well?

I'm sorry but I'm not going to make a video on alcohol varnish. I don't like it so much so I'm not confident in making a video on it.
@@maestrokimon This is a pity. It is said that the fine art of varnishing a violin is when you can use spirit varnish well.
