The Azov 73210 should be an honourable mention, very underrated truck

It was my go to truck for most of my first playthrough, makes every job a breeze, a very slow breeze, but a breeze non the less... unless you needed to go over a tall bump. Not so much these days though as I've gotten more familiar with how and where to drive, and how handle the terrain better.
Nowadays I mostly use the Step 310E and the CAT CT68X series for most jobs.

i always valued versatility / utility over speed so the international paystar 5070, voron d, and azov 64131 were my goto daily drivers with kolob 74941 as my heavy mission trailer hauler. personally i always refused to use the pay to win nature of the khan 39 marshall and just used the chevy ck1500 / hummer h2 until i could get a yar 87. even now i still prefer the voron d over the tayga 6436 and i am very happy with the new tayga 6455b. i will agree the fleetstar f2070a and the white western star 4964 are good starter trucks and have fond memories of both trucks.

I would only use the Khan in the early game when I needed a scout with mud tires. Just like I’d go get the long nose Kolob from Russia early on for the same reason. You can move on from both once you get higher levels/better trucks/better tires.
I try not to use more truck than the job calls for unless the big guns are the only thing nearby on the map.

Azov 73210 is better then Azov64131. The 73 is basically unstoppable, practically unrollable, had a rear steer for great turning, 10X10 instead of 8X8, and didn't use that much more fuel than the 64. Sure it had (and still does now even with lifted suspension) a low hanging front chin. But it usually just slide up over rocks anyway and as for ruts in the trail, as long as you had even a tiny bit of driving sense and approached ruts at a diagonal rather then just plowing the bumper straight into the mud, then ruts wasn't a big issue either.

When I switched from Steam to Epic Games after Season 8 I only bought the base game & Year 3 pass so I don't have a lot of the "DLC" trucks anymore... and I have to say, I do NOT miss them! OK maybe I miss the F750... but I downloaded a SBC dually to make up for that!😏😏

Interesting, I just bought the 3 year anniversary bundle on Steam during the Summer Sale, and because I kinda prefer Steam's launcher and overall eco-ssytem. I had the EGS version (only has year 1 pass) for sometime when it was only available on EGS, but I played only 20hours previously. Played another 30hours recently and finally "got" how to play the game, which is why I decided to buy the 3 year bundle on steam sale, for about the price of the year 2 and year 3 pass on EGS (without discounts).
What were the reasons that made you switch to Epic Games from Steam? The only major difference I can guess is the PTS.

The Azov 64131 is my favorite truck. It can make it through just about anything, its very stable, extremely fuel efficient + big fuel tank, and very versatile. The only downsides are like you said its slow but the main thing that bothered me was the turning radius. Luckily there is a modded version of this truck that fixes those issues while also adding things like larger tires. I think its called the JBL Azov or something like that. It honestly makes the game too easy. I only use it when I'm in a hurry or doing a mission I don't like because otherwise the game is too easy and no fun.
But when I first played the Michigan and Alaska maps I wanted to use American trucks and didn't know how good the Azov was. So I used the White Western Star for most of those maps. The main reason I used it to begin with is that I noticed it has a wider base than the other beginner trucks. I was doing a certain job where I kept flipping over and the White got the job done first time. After that I only used that truck and completed both Michigan and Alaska with it.

Back in the early days of Snowrunner, the goal was just to level up enough to get good tires, then get the Tayga, Cat 745C, and Tuz 420 unlocked. At that point you already had the game beat.
Then came some of the crazier DLC Maps…

Disagreed. Tayga is extremely overrated. The only time I use it is during a Russian run where I don't have anything else I prefer.

FleetStar is a stable truck? It’s actually pretty tippy. Not as tippy as the PayStar but definitely not as stable as the WWS.

No, neither Tayga not Azov. On Russian runs I use the Tayga because I have to but I switch out to Vorons as soon as I get the money. Early on I experimented with the Azovs and found they took too much of the challenge out of the game for my liking so now I use the Derrys instead. Or for the really big jobs the Kenworth.
