great tiktok song!
Its been 24 years, song released in 1998. In 2003,it came in Bollywood movie and became popular all over india exactly like Kala Chashma song, which was also originally released decades earlier than Bollywood re-release.
No matter your ethnicity, cultural background or country you currently live in…. This track is everyones guilty pleasure. This is the only song in the world that can get my chubby white arse on a dancefloor
Also, the only song us Indians dont mind being stereotyped to :D
@@hsb4979 i don't know what is being portraid as stereotype but from where i come India and it's inhabitants were described as - one of the richest places in the world, encient history, sciences, great warriors, great weapons, connection to nature and its' sacred secrets, exceptional dancers, literature and songs, wisdom. and don't get me started on the dress
@@dalekayataiga yes sir indeed. India is a world in its own and with over 1.4 billion people, there’s richness, mediocrity, and poverty all in abundance here. So sometimes we’re stereotyped as tech support guys, or tech scammers, or those whole poop in open, sometimes cultural, etc.
This was a hit.....we used to sing and dance in Kenya's nightclubs even though we never understood a single word 😂😊
Sung by the legendary Labh Janjhua. Left too early. His voice will be missed.
I'm not an Indian but this gives me goosebumps. Greetings from Philippines 😂😂 🇵🇭🇵🇭
Porque SATANICO se te pone así la piel de gallina
@12bajgayeejudike yeah I agree
Its not india... Its punjab...
@@saadshakeel5188 still a part of Hindustan
@@AFilipinoBeatlesLover nah.... Its pak and india... Not just india.. Punjab is divided
Actually made my eyes water in a massively emotional way.
But I'm allowed.
lol
British White guy here. Went to my first Sikh wedding at the weekend.
I remember this track from my teens. When they played it at the wedding, it WENT OFF.
Truly iconic, but perhaps more importantly, culturally transcendent.
Amen. We all know how to bounce and smile, right?
Movement and music are universal of course 🙏🏽 Even in the beginning of the dance routine here, it is reminiscent of the Running-Man, in the feet, albeit slightly different and more to the side than “running” forward. You wouldn’t believe how many rhythm-deficient people struggle with that!! 😂
This was probably my favourite part of the closing ceremony, everything was lit. This song will never ever get old
It does get old hearing it EVERYWHERE. Feels like white people don't know any other Punjabi song besides this and Tunak Tunak.
@@RPKD88 that's the whole point kid; non-indian people almost NEVER hear punjabi songs so when they do hear this one, is like listening "the roof, the roof! the roof is on fire!" LOL
@@gadget00 the whole point, child, is that there are far better Punjabi songs that this one. So go listen. The whole roof is on fire crap is a stereotype in the making smh.
Meanwhile #Brum is now bankrupt..
@RPKD88 I don't know what white people know as im not white. I do know there's other songs out there like this one just happened to become popular and well know to non punjabi. Its just my opinion it won't get old, it might get old it might not. You hear it everywhere I don't.
it's so funny to hear the announcer get excited herself with just the beginning of the tune; absolute banger
Use to bump Punjabi MC with my homeboys in the Bay Area California back in 2002. A true classic banger.
Same here! I remember it taking like 6 hours to download from LimeWire

Played it in a club in gulf country and people went maaaadddd
Best track ever
Everytime I watch this I get goosebumps when the beat drops. 💓
That guy made the entire world to dance ! RESPECT
This was fantastic... I wonder what the Indian athletes amd visitors thought of this
I know the athletes from Pakistan loved it, I saw a vid of them dancing
Probably were dancing
India. Athletes also happy after seeing this
@@siddharthsharma1286 I'm sure they were but I never saw a vid of them I saw one of the Pakistan athletes.
@@naomib-h4857 they can't show every athlete or at a specific time i think but many indian athletes are from Punjabi culture
Absolutely fantastic! Celebrating our wonderful communities, this diversity makes the 'Great' in Great Britain. Made me so proud that we recognised the cultural diversity of our fellow countrymen .
We are a United Kingdom,
And I love that we have acknowledged this!
As much as i like this song, this is bullshit
Britain literally took all their stuff from other countries though
@@kushagradhawan277 the government has changed by then it's been 100 years
@@4bdurR4hm4n well, the cultural impact still shows dude, no hate for anyone though but the brits who ruled the land 100 years ago fucked it up so much that Indians are still finding their own identity as they adopted the British stuff too much at the time because of oppression. It's a vast topic..shouldn't really argue about it much in the comment section, Have a good day sir!
@@kushagradhawan277 thank you you too
Black 50 yr old female here. I remember when this song came out like it was yesterday. One of my favorite jams and a still listen to it daily in my playlist. The video makes it even greater. Thanks for sharing ❤
I hope when humanity is long gone, aliens unearth this banger.
I still remember we all went crazy everytime they play this during dance party here in the Philippines 😂 na mecus mecus kaming lahat noon

Thank you Philippine s love from India
That was brilliant bro. Sick remix
☺️ First song you hear when you discover punjabi culture and bhangra 😊
Totally. It’s a gateway Bhangra song!
It's honestly overplayed and overrated.

LEGEND! OUR MUSIC WILL ALWAYS MAKE YOU WANT TO MOVE NO MATTER WHAT! PROUD OF OUR PUNJABI HERITAGE. NEELAM GILL 😍 😋 lol
I agree. It stirs something deep within .. balle balle
Making the Punjabi’s loud.....always the BOMB.....pataka.......KILLIN IT.....😁👍💕❤️
Музыка огонь, хит на столетия.
Но, как это унизительно для англичан, что жители бывших колоний (рабов) так резвятся у тебя дома, навязывая свою культуру.
What a weird way to say this. This DJ was born in England. This music is a blend of both worlds. There's no "imposing". It's not humiliating when the song is amazing and brings people together.
Brought back some old memories, he smashes it, we need an outdoor mela where he can perform 😊
Congratulations!
Very soon, everyone in Britain will be singing songs from Rishi Sunak...))) 😁
I’m American (native). I love Indian movies and music. It’s always so fun and the dancing, it makes we want to go to India. It just looks like it’s a fun time
Agreed!❤
hits like a bullet train!!! lots of love from 🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭♥️♥️♥️

ICONIC track. Love the desi vibe.
The bass drop at 1:46 shook my home.......Panjabi MC & JBL for the win👍
I was there and they were the first act to really get the stadium
rocking. Great performance guys !
Yaaaaaas! 🔥🔥🔥American here. Went out and bought the entire Punjabi MC album after hearing the JayZ remix over 20 years ago ON CD! Hah! Good memories.
This performance and song is better than most of the billboard hits songs put together.
And this is the TRUTH.
admitting... I'm german but seeing this actually gives me chills and teary eyes because the song has been released 21 years ago and seeing it in 2022 in an arena with such an amazing performance... it's huge let's be real, it's a big deal. amazing🥲
Makes me proud to be British. Having all these ethnicities from our empire making our country great now, with great food, great music and great people.

Never heard a harder beat drop- white Texan teenager
Love Punjab! Can somebody tell me what the Commonwealth games are?
Proud do be part of Brum BRUM FOR LIFE!!!
Truly a certified hood classic
why the hell is this in 480p in the year 2022???
Quick fact.. did any of you know where the hiphop beat was sampled from? It's was from Busta Rymes Turn it up (remix) Fire It Up. He added a Dhol beat and Tumbi to this and every punjabi person face palmed themselves and said "Damn! I could have made that!" This inspired me to make my own beats ❤
This moment was absolutely iconic honestly never moving past this
Feels like this song should "world anthem" for spreading Dopamine....
I'm not Indian but I just love the rich culture. It's just amazing. Love to visit one day. It's way too exotic to me. I just love it.
This is pretty amazing just because of the presence Britain maintained in India for so long… the not-so-positive one. In turn, we’ve seen many people, from all over India, move to Great Britain and expand the diaspora. Maybe one day when the Olympics or another large event is held here in the US, they’ll feature Native American performances. Maybe even featuring tribes that are from the state that the events are being held in. Wouldn’t that be the day…
Super music!👏
Pandabi number one!
Salom alaikum from Uzbekistan ❤️🔥
Salam from Panjabi
This was ace, watching it live gave me goosebumps :)
Salute...2024!!!🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Raj paji you killed it as always. 🔥🔥🔥🔥
This is reverse colonialism 🤣

AMAZING PERFORMANCE 🙌
LOVE TO YOUR CULTURE!!!
Are you ENGLISH? I am Visaya or Bisaya or i am Phillipines or where are you? Thank You or Thank You So Much or i am 22,22,❤😂🎉😢😮😊,
Bro… I can’t even begin to describe how awesome this is to me as an artist. Genuinely inspiring and just so sick. I don’t even make music, I draw and it makes me want to make more art.
I am indian who lived in India for 30 years of his life, I never knew this song existed!
Damn, this song is fire!!! 🔥🔥🔥
Note: After reading the comments, I am getting the impression that foreigners think, this is what indians listen to, but to be honest it's a British song not an indian song!
Are you kidding me! It was one of the most widely listened to songs period. I'm Punjabi and have cousins in Delhi and Goa - they definitely heard this song
@@Goonie0905 Delhi and Punjab is just one UT and one state of India, rather a tiny part of India. I'm from Maharashtra...I bet very few people from Maharashtra have heard it. I heard this song, shared it with my friend circle, nobody know this song. Off-course they liked it as it's a banger, but just don't generalize your experience to entire Indian population.
Met him last week in Ireland. Legend
Same level of epicness as the Dr. Dre and Snoops Superbowl performance.
british asians not freshies big difference in music bang on mc punjabi
I wanna dance too!!! ❤❤❤❤
Это было очень красиво!
Can see harnik in the crowd!! he holding a dholki
I wonder if they realize this is being listened to by 90% of people because of the meme factor. The bass boosted version is pure perfection. It's almost as funny as Vennu Mallesh, not quite there, but is a close runner-up.
Knight Rider
Mexican here who loves Indian music and culture.....🫶🏼🇲🇽🇮🇳
